I've played with the PS3 group & hope to eventually with this group ... however -- I've been pug'in gold last few weeks with mainly success (occasional crashes & fails). I just back out of lobbies with lower level players. 

Seems a bit harder to organize on PS4.  Isn't there a way to set up chat rooms on PS4 (like on PS3) and people could post/join open slots? Inform chat room via text 'cause I don't necessarily want to hear 8 people talking in the chat room?! (Sometimes though!)

So party chat doesn't have texting functionality? That's a shame.

That's a group message, couple of problems with it.

Your message inbox gets spammed even while you're offline and if you have the app on your phone, it goes crazy with notifications.

Can't leave the group and rejoin without a new invite.

It can get really annoying and people put this in their "about me's," "group message=delete you instantly."

  

The only reason I bought this game early in the first place was because my friends missed MEMP so bad.  I was always going to get it, but out of a bargain bin way down the road.  I can count on 1 hand how many full games I have played with a few of my friends thanks to this game garbage connections.  Jokes on me I guess.  I'll never buy another one of their games again though.  You can bet that.  One of my friends who lives close to me can get a good few games in with me when I still played this garbage, but no other game I own gives trouble like this when trying to play with people.

I think it would be helpful if you clarified what 'pull their own weight in gold' meant. For example on ME:A, I never score top or bottom, know where RPG button is, rarely need reviving but do so for others (#I_Wish_I_Were_A_Volus), wouldn't be able to finish off uploads if everyone else was dead, and am a 200m sync kill rare earth magnet. So to my mind, anyone like me, who can't solo gold would by definition 'need carrying'.

Well we exclusively use characters with pull. The test is for you to pull the outlaw enemy that corresponds with the race of your character so the weight is roughly equivalent. If you main the Krogan Gladiator it might be difficult to earn our acceptance.

You pretty much just described me except I don't know what a rare earth magnet is. Can I use it to craft XM radio for the nomad? If AHF was only made up of people who have solo'd gold it would be a pretty lonely group.

I feel really bad for the people having these issues. I'm one of the lucky ones, "only" had 5 crashes and a couple more disconnects since release. I know some of my friends had over 60 crashes before they stopped counting... I have asked around and Digital/Physical copy seems to have nothing to do with it. It may be related to PS4 model or to the quality of connection to the host. I have crashed twice on one of my friend's host in a row. Could stay in the match for just long enough to notice that I was lagging horribly, so the CTDs may be connection related.

It's a shame because behind these game breaking issues and some gun/power balance problems (which is just changing a number in the code) there is a fun Co-op game hiding in the back.
