Couldn't they just animated the two fighting properly?  Two Krogans fighting.   How hard can that be.

Have them knock each other through the rock walls until they can no longer speak.

It's not like we needed to hear their next lines of dialogue, anyway.

Drive core?  Outpost?  At that point in the game I didn't care about either.
