Why?

I find him a bit goofy and amusing.

I don't think there's a scene in the game that wouldn't be improved with a good headbutt. This includes romance sex scenes.

I may or may not be part Krogan.

I don't hate Liam, but after his loyalty mission, I would've dropped him off on the Nexus and recruited a new squad member.

My thing is I'm 35 so playing with characters so young is a bit off putting. Just a bit though. I keep in mind that they're still learning and Liam is no execption. He wants to help but seems to expect results right then. Life doesn't work that way. A smidge of Garrus in him in that regard. I just couldn't follow half of what he said. lol He didn't really click with me but I don't dislike him.

Liam's fine. He's the college frat dude of the group.

The only time Scott want interrupt option is after his loyalty mission. But it's not headbutt or something violoence.

Liam has a six pack, and most of you guys don't. I am going with Liam.

I don't hate him, I just don't understand why he's on the Pathfinder team and so many others, like say, all those MP characters, are not.

I try to figure it out but I got nothin. What, he saves people from crisis areas? Okay? So?

Maybe it flies in terms of being part of an initial team that is expecting a nicer environment, but since Habitat 7... kindly get out...oh I can't say it to him...oh bummer... weird.

Its like Bioware put us in the most frustrating circumstances then said "NOPE! Can't act like X! Too close to Renegade Shepard!" - not just with Liam but with all sorts of things. I think better writing and design would have allowed us to express our roleplay desires more. Some parts shine though like post Liam loyalty mission (especially since the jokey parts of actual mission are over).

I really like Liam because he feels like a real person. God bless ME1 and its characters, but those guys stand around the entire game doing...not much. I mean, they have their little personal missions, but for the most part they're just there to do what you tell them to do. Liam DOES stuff on his own. He has goals and gets frustrated when things go wrong. It's like he's a human. I get that he can be frustratingly hard to understand at times because of the writing, but that aside, I can excuse a lot of his faults because he feels like a character who has his own goals and actually cares about getting those goals fulfilled. That matters a lot to me. Characters should want things and want to accomplish those things whether the protagonist is on board or not.
