So do you guys notice much impact on performance with increasing the fov? I didn't try increasing mine much, because it's already stuttering like hell, and I don't have a potato PC. It's always 60+ fps even on ultra but the stuttering never ends - even if I set everything to low and 720p render it will still do that occasional stutter (with 120 fps, wtf) but what does fps help if it still stutters all the time.
Does is still play smooth if you increase fov?

There is definitely something missing in the poll: I leave mine at the default medium for SP because of "fisheye" as so many others have already pointed out, but I switch it to max for MP. Gives you much better peripheral vision and also helps you spot a dog approaching from behind a little sooner. neocodex and 23 others : I have only played Bronze difficulty so far, but didn't notice any performance drops whatsoever (60-65 fps constant, Settings mostly on High). Maybe if you set a few of the non-essential graphics settings down to "high"?

I tried playing on low and the stutters are still there, as I described I can jank the game fps up to 120 but it will still sometimes stutter. It is less stutter but still. Point in case being, it doesn't make much of a difference between playing on ultra or low, the stutters mostly remain. It's the game code/bad optimisation. I didn't try raising fov yet since I'm okay with what I currently have (default +1 point to the right) but I'm concerned it will drop the performance even more.

Whatever default is because I play it on Xbone.
BioWar needs to borrow some Id Software guys to put in FoV in lolconsole too. If Doom can do it on Frost Bite, why not ME:A? I'd love to hae a FoV where half of the screen isn't filled by krogan humps.

Does is still play smooth if you increase fov? It has input and state lag no matter how many frames you're getting. If you stream at anything over 1080, say good bye to framerate no matter what it was before. FOV really doesn't have much to do with it.

Huh? Doom uses id Tech 6, not Frostbite.

Huh? Doom uses id Tech 6, not Frostbite. Ooops. Still think it ain't a big challenge to make it on consoles too.
