It really depends. I trust someone with Apex rating 5k and a level 5 character in Silver more than I would an Apex rating 500 with a level 8 player. Experience matters... And someone with a higher Apex rating most likely has some weapons unlocked and possibly extra skill points from class being ranked up as well.

Go as far away from the team as possible and die as often as possible. Be sure to rage gel through all your medigel on wave one that way you don't have to help with objectives. Only melee attack enemies in large packs unless they're instakill enemies.

Decent weapons can go along way if you're under leveled. Using cobras at the appropriate time also will help the team. Using stuff like shield boost appropriately as well will really be appreciated. A charger isn't a bad common weapon if you have turbocharge. Just stay alive and don't be a determent to the team.

use reliably hard hitting guns don't skimp on consumables and boosters most importantly do objectives and stay with your team so you don't die in a spot thats difficult to rez you also so you don't blow through medigels

Things seem have trouble targeting you when you are in the air, especially when you have an observer shielding you from a few of them. Or, that has been my experience. (And while I am an ok player, I often see others doing far better than my best.)

(Also I an not trying to imply you leave the observers alone - a vanguard should be able to take them on just fine. Well, if you do not get too stupid, I mean... and I do sometimes get to be too stupid.)

Not sure - but I do know that it's not good etiquette to swear at someone in your lobby because you don't like their kit / load out or APEX level. Happened in a lobby I was in to some guy with an 8th level kit and low APEX level. I quit the lobby since I don't want to play with people that intolerant.

Have some level of awareness to not die constantly. Then there is the weapons - they might or not matter much to the others, but it's a pain in the ass and unsatisfying to feel like a useless peashooter. Melee works well, but so do enemy bullets - you can't pull of stunts that work on silver - at least I can't just yet.

I have it at X but rarely use it. I like to be different from my other squadmates.
Especially yesterday with some pug Zero farming and lag, the rest all used Vanquishers. And I still ended up second with my Inferno I wielding lvl 14 Insurgent.
Then again there was only a really small marging between the top three though...
