Correct me, if I'm wrong, but - this power remained worthless from the times of ME 3. It acually moved from there in not that much changed form. The same inconsistency, the same "bwa-bwa-bwa"sound. ..... The only use for it is detonating combos. Ah, nearly forgot - also harassing these kinda invisible Kett shotgunners a bit.
Any thoughts on this subject?

Maybe it's largely the same, but if it's worthless now (I don't think it was in ME3 by any means, one of the best detonators), that's only because they had to go and reinvent the wheel on cooldown mechanics and power/combo damage.
Hey, at least it doesn't troll snipers any longer, right? I haven't seen it used much so far to be honest, but I don't think it does.

It was one of the best powers in me3 actually. It had a ridiculously short cooldown and could trivialise any red health bar enemy. The incendiary acolyte--->shockwave combo enabled you to destroy phantoms, marauders, captains...anything. Excellent for staggering, and excellent for detonating incendiary ammo, as well as being reliable at all times. Not to mention that it was also arguably the best detonator in that game, capable of detonating combos that are magnitudes more powerful than a cobra rpg in andromeda. Yeah, definitely one of the best powers in that game. It's a shame that combos suck donkey dick in andromeda. Now shockwave has a stupid animation (can't even see what it is clearly), stupidly long cooldown time of 15 seconds, and detonates combos that are weaker than a round from the avenger assault rifle of bitch slap. I really miss the old shockwave. They done messed up. Now that I think back on it, the human adept was ridiculously overpowered. Imagine the destruction he would do in andromeda.

I actually find it quite useful both damage & CC wise. Way more reliable than ME3MP one.
It`s only detonator for adept so its importance cannot be emphasized enough.

In ME3 shockwave started out with baseline 100 more damage, 175 more force and also had detonation evolution, it was infinitely more useful.

It was also the best detonation evolution in the game at +65%, better than Warp and Throw. Pull had even more than that but could only prime mooks.

The fact shockwave ignores all obstacles in both game is the best part I think. In ME3, I honestly prefered electric / biotic slash over shockwave. Most characters with shockwave, I ended up using others powers way more than shockwave tbh. Shockwave seemed to miss targets from time to time in ME3MP for no apparent reason.

Besides vanguard, shockwave is the only self-detonator on every single other class that has shockwave in ME3. Human Adept: Warp / Singularity => Shockwave ( yes you can detonate singularity with warp, but you can't detonate warp without shockwave. ) Batarian enforcer: Net => Shockwave, and has Blade armor. Krogan Shaman: Warp => Shockwave and has Barrier. So not sure how you didn't use it.

Singularity -> warp -> be -> se -> be was my favorite combo at all time. Batarian Enforcer, I never used much. I hated Batarians and Vorchas. lol Krogan shaman... awesome class. Yeah. Used shockwave a lot with him... but actually made a hell out of Warp glitch more with him. lol

Human adept singularity explosion evo will cause BE explosion. Does it still work? I don't think I have ever been able to cause a biotic explosion by detonating singularity in Andromeda?

It's a pretty good detonator. I spec it for range and radius on my human adept for easier detonating - mostly for cc purposes in MEA. On human vanguard, I spec it for more damage as I don't need radius/range when I detonate my nova primers.
You shouldn't really use detonator powers unless target is primed in this game, and shockwave is a pretty decent detonator (goes trough walls and can detonate multiple effects at the same time) although not as useful by itself as a cc power like concussive shot, shockwave barely does any stagger. So yeah, just use it as a detonator and it's a decent power.

It's easier to hit enemies if you take the radius evolution (rank 4 I think?). You still need to make some effort to aim the power though. For adept, I would use it more to stagger enemies if it didn't have a longish cooldown and if it wasn't the only way for an adept to detonate their own combos. For vanguard, I see potential for it in a shockwave->charge combo but as we all know, combo damage sucks balls right now.

Shock wave has traditionally been my dump stat. I can't honestly see that changing unless it's changed a little.
It's only good for combo detonators, and as we know, combo damage sucks balls.

Batarian enforcer: Net => Shockwave, and has Blade armor. Zoh my god. Someone brought up blade armor in a way that is, at worst, neutral! OT, shockwave is a reliable red-bar primer in a game where there are too many detonators. Human adept can prime multiple enemies with three different powers that lift them into the air. Since every single other kit has energy drain, lance and throw, this is a nice utility. Human vanguard can forgo boring melee everything-style for self-detonating combos on red-bars and boring melee everything else-style. Fun!

Now that I think back on it, the human adept was ridiculously overpowered. Imagine the destruction he would do in andromeda. I think you just inadvertently solved the mystery of why so much in meamp is craptacular... Get this: most of the A tier fighters stayed in the milky way, while andromeda is full of trash tier failures with weaker power. Also, many of the weapon descriptions state that they were adjusted for shitty initiative use, possibly made worse. Aww sheeeeeet!!!!!!!

I honestly think the singularity shockwave damage is much much greater than some other combos. I think the singularity debuffs IIRC... either way it wrecks stuff...

It's not bad if you spec it for pure utility and run around with someone who can play off it priming after you use it to detonate. All bottom row(b?) Shockwave is pretty good IMO but it depends on if you have a team to take advantage of it or not. If you're hoping for a nuke/big damage skill you will be disappointed.
