This choice doesn't seem too big, it's just an interim ambassador, in case they come in contact with non-hostile aliens from another cluster. I bet their term will be short and it will be more a symbolic thing to set the tone for future AI interactions.
I think it's more about making a political statement about how the nexus wants to "rule" on heleus: - centralized: the nexus being the center of power - autonomous: giving more say to the outposts, like a federal state - angara/krogans: giving up authority and influence in order to bring them into the fold, so to say. Kinda like when adding a new council race, it diminished the power of the previous ones, as they must account for the demands of the new one.

Went with Bradley for 1st PT as I generally feel he's a real man of the people, going with the Moshae next. Raeka is a Pathfinder so I'd rather have her focused there as for Morda, I actually agreed with Tann surprisingly

The Krogan have been screwed over again and again. Time for them to take a leading role. Might not be the perfect diplomat though. Pity there was no option for Reyes. I guess I would have taken him instead of Morda.

I always pick Morda to troll everyone there. This is like the Anderson/Udina choice, making it pointless. So why not give it to headbutter?

First and foremost - this choice had made no sense to me. At all.
I mean...an 'ambassador' or 'representative' should... guess what? Riiight! Represent. 1. Someone. 2. Somewhere.
Let's start with 1. - Moshae. I'm not sure she can tell asari from humans, zero experience with MW species. Makes her kinda lame candidate to 'represent' them. Oh, and I wish her all the luck with 'representing' the Krogan or Kadara people. She's going to need it. - Bradley. Nice guy, a decent man, is able to run his li'll outpost. Can hardly imagine him 'representing' anyone anywhere, though. Obviously, he can't represent the Angara people, as he's not one of them, very likely with little knowledge about them (if any at all). - Salarian PF...uh..they were the latest ones to arrive, and I'm pretty sure that they should have their hands full. Zero info about their social skills. Not-angara (same issues as with Bradley). They are going to need even more luck with 'representing' the Krogan (I want to see Morda's morda* face when she hears about the salarian 'representative'. - Morda...uh..do we even want to consider this as an option? She could possibly represent Krogans on some level, sure. But that's it.
Now - about 2. What the fuck is that? Anything AI-bound is...well, AI-bound, they've got their own chains of commands already. Rest of the Heleus, which are NOT AI have nothing to do with their 'Councils' or whatever they like to call it. So, let's imagine we pick this...whoever we consider the least awful for the job (see above- NEITHER qualifies). And this 'representative'..does what exactly? Passes Sloan\Reyes a taxing bill from Tann? Do I need to draw a picture of where this 'bill' is going to be placed permanently?..
The 'council' idea is kinda reasonable, but it should include ALL af the mentinoed above + some asari matriarch + some experienced turian. Preferably the candidates should be chosen by their own people, and I don't see where this space-magical 'ambassador' fits in anyway.
I've picked Bradley just because I was not given an option of telling them all to go sober up.
____ *morda: 'an ugly face'(Russian). Somehow I don't think it's a coincedence. 8P

Raeka for me. I also considered Bradley, mostly because I like him, but in the end I figured that Raeka would make the best politician. In the brief time Raeka was part of the story, she really grew on me. She's not only badass but was also groomed to be a dalatrass before joining the initiative, so she'll know how to handle all the political nonsense she's going to have to deal with. It kinda annoyed me how angry everyone got over the choice. But then again, Tann is the only one of the leadership trio I kind of liked (not counting Kendros here because he mostly stays out of political stuff). Addison is annoying and incompetent while Kesh turned into a whiny bitch after I chose to save Raeka. Which is exactly why I would never pick Morda. The choice aboard the Archon's ship was a no brainer for me. How could I justify saving a handful of Krogan soldiers over the last original pathfinder and a bunch of civilians? After the fallout from that and my choice of picking Raeka, with Kesh refusing to speak to me, Drack announcing that he's ditching my team the first chance he gets and Morda just angrily grunting at me, I really don't care about the Krogan in Andromeda all that much anymore. Remember when Wrex said that he hates his own people in ME1? These are the Krogan he meant. Then there's the moshae. Picking her to represent everyone in Heleus just felt kind of weird. Angara are too emotional for a position like that. Also hard to forget that she was willing to sacrifice a bunch of Angarans just for petty revenge in the exaltation facility, which disqualifies her from a position of power in my opinion. Sorry for rambling, had to get some of that off my chest. I agree with you on almost everything, even the Moshae, but not on the Salarian Pathfinder decision. I mean, we fought that Krogan on the Archon's ship and I thought "Hell, one was that difficult. Imagine if they end up exalting those Krogan and making them attack our colonies?" A trained team that included a Patfhfinder was almost not enough, imagine an outpost, even with the turrets, being attacked by lots of those. They were perfect soldiers for the kett and and way more perfect test subjects. If they could Exalt the Krogan, which they were almost in the process of doing it, unlike the Salarians, they would have an easy time exalting the other Milky Way species. So, I left the Pathfinder to die, since another one could be named in her place and I found the pilot more than capable of being a great Pathfinder. Works under stress, quick learner and it's not like the Ark would need its pilot once docked on the Nexus. So, basically, IMO, I saved countless other lives by not letting Krogan become Kett Soldiers.

I actually chose Bradley. Tann was actually right. We started on the right foot with the Angaran, helping them with Roekars, making Jaal a friend, saving her from the facility and contributing to Havarl and Voeld.
Morda was just no. Unstable, unpredictable. I wanted a Krogan voice for Andromeda, but not hers. And as I mentioned above, since I sacrificed the Salarian Pathfinder, it wouldn't make sense appointing him as the ambassador, since he needs time for training. I immediately remembered poor Anderson here.
So, Bradley, as it later says, was the most correct political decision and the only to be made ever since setting foot on Andromeda, 'cuz we needed an AI rep. And he seems like a nice guy, unlike Udina, so that's a bonus for him.

I went with the Moshae, it made sense to me as we are visitors to their home cluster.
Off topic I hope someone can answer a question for me. I am doing an insanity run for the achievement, and accidentally managed to lower the difficulty. If I revert back to an old save from before that will I be ok or do I need to start over?

I still don't understand why Morda is even an option... She is unstable, dangerous and I wouldn't even leave my space hamster under her guard. She only cares about the krogans alone and doesn't give a single f*ck about others. If Kesh was a choice, I think it would be a good one, but Morda? Come ooooon!

I thought this was an ill-defined choice. How could the Nexus pick a speaker for the entire cluster? The Moshae was off the table for me because she's angaran and can only speak for her people and we can only appoint someone to speak for the Nexus as an ambassador. First time I picked Reyka but then I figured she has pathfinding to do so I picked Bradley.
Never got the Krogan, could never find the entrance to that wretched cave so gave up on the planet.
All in all I thought it was a bit odd. And I pissed off the Moshae again so cba with her.

I was a little overwhelmed at this point and was not quite able to figure out what folks want of me. An ambassador to represent the initiative in a council that does not exist and the Moshae is an option even though she's not Initiative? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to let the Moshae represent the Initiative, even though she'd be a perfect choice to represent the Angara, but that is up to them. If they want Evfre instead, so be it. I have a feeling he will get along well with the Turians. If I understood right they were just looking for someone to do Tann's job, now that the colonies had been established and Initiative basically panned out.
Well, I chose Bradley. The Initiative is a colonization afford and the head of the first colony seemed to be the most logical choice to me. I never quite understood what the position was about, really. The Moshae didn't seem all that happy about it, but I am not willing to put the Initiative in the hand of the Angarans, nor do I presume that Bradley has any power over the Angarans in turn, it's just about the Initiative.
While it is important to somehow formalize diplomatic affairs between Angara and Initiative, there is no way I am going to obtrude Milky Way politics on them. On the long run, I count on the asari to help establish not only peaceful coexistence, but unity. If I had picked the Moshae that would have been a message to Angaran: "This council that we made up owns you now."

How directionally challenged do you have to be to not find the Krogans with a map, an orange indicator and SAM telling you "Look, here are the Krogans"? Maybe Alec should have transferred pathfinder authority to your comatose sibling instead.

Yeah, it's a bit deceiving when you port to New Tuchanka, you don't end up next to the entrance, but rather at the back door which you can't go through. You have to drive around to the other side of the crater to find the way in.
