Considering that Drack's melee animation is quite nice,

Morda could have just crashed a large Krogan battle hammer down on Strux,

making the scene Brief, Impactful, and working around the T-Rex arms thingy.

Yep, really took the Krogan down a notch or two or three, very badly done. Perhaps they should have gotten a couple of fighting hockey players for the mo-cap process, then throw in a few headbutts.

Neither fussing, nor hung up, but the little pattycake fight between the colony leader and her devious rival looked comical and bizzare. It would have been a silly animation if it was two salarians, but krogans are big, rough creatures that fight thresher maws and like to share stories of dismemberment and murder. I was imagining them saying "Not the face! Not the face!" the whole time they were flapping away.
