I gave them a protip to place a Barricade when reviving a squadmate in the line of fire (after watching Billy not place a Barricade when reviving a squadmate in the line of fire). Conal asked him yeah buddy why didn't you do that? Billy's reply was "because it's important to show beginner behaviour and to allow other team members time to shine" Constant excuses and justifications are a state of mind which do not instill me with confidence in the people who default to them. Oh, c'mon, that was beyond clear that he was poking fun at himself for making a silly mistake, Billy's reply was anything but serious. They weren't serious either when they said these missions aren't available on Gold difficulty because the missions have to be accessible to everyone

True... They shouldn't be one shotting bosses on gold. Not when each character can carry 5 of them. They're meant to weaken the enemy so you can finish them off. They should at least take the turrets off a Destroyer, though. My biggest concern is still powers and combos being weak and bad kits that just don't mesh. Like Krogan Engineer with a Rage tree. It should be something that instead increases his tech instead, like support systems. If you use it intelligently you can kill a fully shielded Destroyer with one single Cobra I'll let you figure out how Is it by letting another player waste a cobra on the destroyer first?

Digital Extreme still sucks, but they at least give the illusion of caring. Plus they have a good patch system and answer peoples' questions usually. (pic related) Peasant race wins this round.

Sheldon and Scott are pretty open about how they feel about the average DE customer, aka trick talking meat. At least Scott doesn't show up already drunk at 2:00 in the afternoon anymore. Steve's dogfeed casts are pretty on the level as well, that he no plans to change the hyper predatory balance model, especially now that his Chinese bosses are used to that regular flow of filthy filthy lucre. *waves to Dr. Fumbles*

I stopped paying attention to their shit since I got put on MODERATOR WATCH on the forums. I was being a good boy, trust. EDIT: LOL I forgot that she said I created a platform rift in a discussion. Some guy was complaining that playstation updates were lagging behind and I told him to go fuck himself in some fashion.

Who the fuck uses Disruptor Rounds IV on a Silver? Haha. Not only that, they actually used UR characters with UR weapons and talk about accessibility for new players? WTF, I don't have any of this stuff they are showing off. I don't even have a single instance of disruptor rounds III. Sorry, my bad, the kit and weapon are rare. Still, I don't have neither.

What ever happened to Chris Priestly? He was the community manager back when I joined the old BSN in the ME1 days. Wow, haven't thought about him in a while.. Man he used to get on my nerves. Man, that dude's been gone a loooooong time. His final lasting legacy was locking the entire Character and Romance subforum. The whole subforum, not just a testy thread or two. As far as I recall, he was eventually released from his duties at BioWare. He was replaced by the cosplay chick whose name I can't even remember now because that's how obviously involved with the forum community she was, then when she left it was just kinda... a black hole of not really knowing who the community manager was anymore. Until Conal was eventually revealed and that wasn't entirely long before we got the word we were being shut down as an official forum Soon™. As far as Evil Chris, he went on to be a community manager for that developer that makes The Witcher games, and now he's apparently at university studying public relations and not currently working for anybody that I'm aware of. Don't forget his parting shot in the (old) new forums, where he created an account right after the announcement that it was closing down to let us know how happy he was about it and how he wished he could have done it years before. Pre-ME3, he was actually a fairly decent community manager, at least in my opinion, but I think the echo chamber and the general BS that goes on in the forums seriously jaded his opinion of gamers in general and BSN in particular.

No, that would be exactly the point. All economic throughput and no relevant criticism make johnny a slow dev. The weapons are generally balanced unlike MEAMP, and the frames and powers do decent damage again unlike MEAMP. Not a lot for me to criticize when all plat does is cut off wait time.

I think that between my wife and I, we spent $200 total on Warframe (we each eventually got one of the 50 percent off coupons and bought the $200 pack each), and honestly, it's gaming money I don't regret spending at all. We mostly bought cosmetic stuff, traded for some vaulted prime stuff, and unlocked a couple of the more pain in the ass warframes to get. I feel a hell of a lot better about the bang for the buck I got with Warframe than I do the, what, 8-10 UR drops that a hunnie would get me in MEAMP.

I've easily dropped a couple of grand in a year when I get into golfing between equipment, green fees, beer, etc. But then I grumble about spending almost any money on gaming, despite it being my primary hobby.

Lolz. Yeah, I just buy the prime access packs and accessories when they come out along with the unvaulted packs when they do those. It's enough to keep me away from the grinding of the game. I am not stingy when it comes to video games like Warframe and MEAMP. If MEAMP wasn't balanced shitty and fun to play, I probably would have dropped another couple hundred on it. Other then video games, I don't really have much of a hobby besides hiking which is pretty cheap once you have the equipment.

At least by the sounds of it they have acknowledged that they accept their game is not satisfying and they are working on trying to turn it around. They haven't said what direction they are trying to take it but one would assume (if they are listening) that they are going to make powers (especially) and weapons deal more damage. I like the mechanics of the game. They just need to get their baselines in how quickly various enemies die to different attacks to a more satisfying level. And then make sure it isn't too easy so they would probably need to add enemies or other effects (particularly to Outlaw). It is a great pity they didn't run a beta 3-4 months before release, they could have gone through all that then and fixed it up more efficiently. More communication in the meantime would be great.

Exactly my reaction, bro. You make that face but he's pretty much the average loadout of video game marketing and PR right now, not even kidding. And that personally frustrates me to absolutely no end. My BA is Communications (PR track) and English, but I can't relocate. The sheer amount of blood I would bleed to remotely/telecommute a PR/community manager position for BioWare or, shit, most any video game developer cannot be properly conveyed with words either written or spoken. But no company seems to really want someone who can handle/would be willing to do that. Nope. Just take whatever's local and throw them to the wolves. Meanwhile, I reiterate that Florida is a fine goddamn place to put a game studio. Weather's awesome. No state taxes. Beach is always a maximum 2-hour drive away at worst. No matter where you land, theme park central is not too far away for the family vacay. And despite the fact that we produce a lot of weird-ass headlines, there's nothing in the water to make you go loco.

Depends on area of Florida. Panhandle or south/central? Some risks. Northeast? Almost never. I live in St. Augustine, just south of Jacksonville. Hurricane Matthew last October was the first time since the 1960's that any type of hurricane "hit" our area of Florida, and by "hit" that was really just a skirt of the coastline. And while some homes took damage, no MAJOR damage really occurred. That's largely thanks to the Gulf Stream, which picks up storms heading for our eastern coastline and shoots them more north than east instead, so we largely get by unscathed and the poor Carolinas take the brunt of everything instead.
