I kinda dont like the seeking plasma augment. One its slow as hell and secondly it kinda kills the fun of playing a shooting based game. I like to actually aim and fire my weapons because without that its just not fun anymore. Seeking Plasma is built more for guns with low accuracy at long range like the Soned, Revenant, & Cyclone. Anywhere else its mostly unnessary but I have heard people love on shotguns

it's called "leading the target" which is pointless if you have hitscan weapons I'd say VHS is great for casters even if the penalties attributed to it are arbitrary and fly in the face of the lore I still wonder why Bioware has to always only backhandedly give players what they ask for. A LOT of people asked for old school ME1 weapons back, Bioware gives them the Vintage heat sink but makes sure the gun gets nerfed in the process. As if they had to make a point of making "their vision" (guns that reload to draw in the COD crowd) more palatable because they know best. Ah thanks for the term! But leading the target with the modified plasma seeking aug is necessary, since the projectiles are much slower than normally and missed most of the time when I tried shooting straight at the targets. I thought Gears of War was the most obvious influence for ME2... Overtly grimdark atmosphere, waist-high covers everywhere and standard clips... The in-game reason for thermal clips was kinda wonky: supposedly higher rate of fire, but at the expense of unlimited ammo and all because the geth used it first. And they do this after, as far as the general populace knows, the geth have been defeated. I could see that military personnel would find it more appealing, but that EVERYONE IN THE KNOWN GALAXY decides to roll with is kinda stretching it. Voice of Reason: "Hey since we're going to this new galaxy that we know basically nothing about, maybe take some of those guns with unlimited ammo with us? You know, just in case?" Everyone else: "Lalalalalalalalaaaa not listening, let's go already!!!" what I mean is that without any other gain switching from a hitscan weapon to one that requires you to lead the target is pointless And yes I preached about this countless times and how this flies in the face of the established lore but Bioware REALLY wanted that shooter crowd to come to MEA

I like to actually aim and fire my weapons because without that its just not fun anymore. I don't have it for aim. Dhan and Plasma Seeking shreds through Enemy Shields, which I really need for my Vanguard/Adept in Insanity. I need to kill stuff fast, before it kills me.

I tried out EC on the Hurricane and it was just as good as on the Equalizer. Didn't try VHS on it yet. Also ran into a new bug. After putting VHS on the Valkyrie if I went near to an ammo box, it would show 'ammo collected' and then switched to another weapon with thermal clip, most of the ammo had disappered... Had this happen with Dhan and Reegar Carbine so far.

Had this happen with Dhan and Reegar Carbine so far. it does. It halves the clip size...BUT with the right upgrades I get 3 shots per clip with it at 1200 damage per shot and since I play vanguard and VHS weapons do not need reloads I can empty a clip, charge, nova, melee, empty another clip (which at that point has fully cooled)...at which point charge has cooled down too so I can charge again and the cycle continues

Anywhere else its mostly unnessary but I have heard people love on shotguns In my experience the seeking plasma is only good for shotguns because of the absurdly slow flight speed of the projectiles. I made the mistake of putting one on a valkyrie, after my first fight with it I was so shocked at it's ability to miss targets moving at a casual walking pace that I had to do some testing. Using my sniper's rangefinder I timed how long it took the bolts to impact a target. Based on my very rough in the field calculations the seeking plasma bolts move at around 10 meters per second. For reference, nerf guns tend to shoot darts at speeds of around 15 meters per second and paintball guns are usually at or over 75 meters per second.

I like to actually aim and fire my weapons because without that its just not fun anymore. I get where you coming from, but for some weapons its necessary for them to become effective in the usually long range battles in ME:A. The Dhan for example has very high damage but its range is short, so the seeking plasma allows you to hit very far targets. The seeking plasma also turns the Piranha into a murder machine. Keep in mind that enemies often dodge it so you have to lead your shots.
