I just came across this on reddit, im not quite sure if it's legit but it seems like it may be. If it is, I really like some of the concept art of the companions better than the finished product. Cora and peebee look really great and liam has those goggles that he originally had. If this is legit I wonder why they didn't use it for the final game, anyways just thought id share it, any thoughts? I really like the way Liam and PeeBee look, except for PeeBee's Harlequin wannabe smile. Cora is different, not sure if I like it more or less yet, but it's cool. I think she might look a tad too young/innocent though.
Why is Cora an Asari, while PeeBee is an Asarian?

I think Cora's character model that shipped with the game better suits her character. I believe she must have went through a couple different appearance changes over the course of the game's development, since she was one of the companions in that leaked tech demo, and she had a ponytail in that.
Jaal's default outfit in the shipped product also looks better than the standard issue Angaran armor he has in that image.
I might have preferred Liam & Peebee's earlier concepts though, but it is hard to say without having seen more of them besides those character cards.

Yep I definitely like that Liam more. PeeBee is kinda hard to see but it looks pretty good too. Would definitely prefer these older designs. I definitely would love to see that as a Sara preset though. One of the twitter'ers should go suggest that to them.  |

Drack looks a lot younger, too. I don't know. I think I prefer the current looks of these characters, they're more distinctive. These are kinda generic, in my opinion.

Liam looks like Donald Glover with space glasses. I'm not feeling that version of Cora. I think the one we have now fits more. Jaal, well he'll always be Kit Fisto mixed with Lion-O so whatever. I love Drack's character so much anything that isn't his current appearance is now automatically inferior. Peebee's is obviously just an illustration rather than any kind of rendering so I can't really judge the face in comparison since it just wouldn't look like that no matter what in the game. The markings look better, but it doesn't have that slap dash IDGAF vibe that seems in line with her character. Vale is in witness protection so I can't speak on that one.

The nose and mouth are obviously different but the brow, eyes, and chin are somewhat similar. Amazing what just being able to make even minor adjustments can do for the overall face. A good skin tone/complexion goes a long ways too. |
