Now, I'm kind of undecided. Set it to narrative and you get lower enemy armor, set it to insanity and get more combo damage. It seems a pure philosophical questions though. It's going to crash either way on wave 7.

Combo damage change is almost insignificant, I'd take the lower DR every time. Shotguns and high ROF weapons should benefit especially.

Amusing, hopefully a patch addresses this. Have only played Insanity in SP so I guess this makes sense. But, Falcon had simultaneously 10 and 20 armor reduction in the same test. Is 10 damage applied the minimum for armor this time around?

What about enemy shield gates, i would guess it is the same.
So this means we can modify the difficulty to 9 different levels, normal bronze, hardcore bronze, insanity bronze, normal silver, hardcore silver, insanity silver, normal gold, hardcore gold, and insanity gold. Which dramatically changes the way we all play the game.

Doesn't appear to be any damage reduction like ME3 when bleeding over shield gate
Off to make some dinner. I'll test more shield / shield gate mechanics later tonight.

Stupidity goes to a new level... this is simply unbelievable. Sadly, it isn't unbelievable at all. I wish it was, I'd like to have at least some faith left in Biower's ability to do their goddamn jobs. If we did our jobs as badly as they've done theirs we'd all be too busy looking for new jobs to even look at this forum, let alone act as Biower's beta testers. Hopefully they'll fix their mess and we'll get to try out something that could actually pass for being a finished product.

Heh, that wasn't with SP on Normal was it? bjorndadwarf Thanks for the welcome. That was SP on Narrative. Here's some more info including a few on SP Insanity. Vanquisher seems unaffected by SP difficulty. The real anomaly during my testing is that when SP is on Insanity, the Lanat appeared to do less damage full charged. Did more Lanat X Testing as well. Charge damage appears to be fairly linear. Base damage of 911 and peaks at 2x base at 1822 after charging for 2 seconds. Tough to narrow down the exact resolution and break points for damage / charge time, but for a Lanat X, it appears to be roughly 200 damage every .5s. Testing was done using mouse macro with programmed delays. Numbers were fairly repeatable. Even setting my macro with no delay, I was unable to obtain the theoretical base of 911. It's as straightforward as them using the wrong variable? Poor practice to have possibly ambiguous variable names.

It's as straightforward as them using the wrong variable? Poor practice to have possibly ambiguous variable names. don't know that for sure, I'm about to try playing with it (changing it before starting a game, etc). I just wanted to note that the game is trying to have different values for SP and MP difficulties, but it's just going wrong somewhere.

It's as straightforward as them using the wrong variable? Here's a fun thought: What if this is what they used to make that 'difficulty' pie chart in the last stream? While unlikely given the matchmaking isn't based off it, I think it'd be amazing if they based their 'Everyone plays bronze, so we're catering to that first' on a bunch of people playing Gold/Silver without having played the SP beyond normal. If anyone wants to test barrel damage etc, a good one is icebreaker/outlaw (or kett probably similarly): steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/826818638587462216/2F636653DD9061C2F7ED5639EDDC4DA6E24E83BF/You can stand on the crates in the corner beyond and get Adhis close as the first mobs to reach you fairly reliably, then a ground slam will set the barrel off easily.

Barrel detonations are in my Combo Table. They're the same as detonating ammo primers. What I need to test is throwing barrels.

Stealth Grid Base Tests-Stealth Grid base bonus duration seems to be about 0.5s, similar to base Tactical Cloak. -The attack type breaking stealth grid seems to get the bonus, while following attacks do not. -It was possible to get the cloak power bonus to apply to Lance and Throw Impact in one Stealth Grid cast. Required moving towards target when casting, at close range. -Only one melee seemed to benefit from bonus, while two omni-blade attacks benefited from Tactical Cloak. -Tests were performed with Huntress. Melee, Lance and Throw animation length complicated testing. I am omitting many of the trials with larger intervals between powers. -Stealth Grid melee bonus does not apply to aerial melee.Tactical Cloak New Info-Tactical Cloak base melee bonus does not apply to aerial melee. Will update original post. Misc-It is unclear if the bonus to Throw Impact following Lance is generalizable to Tactical Cloak since none of the Infiltrators with TC have two powers of the same type. -Fire barrel detonated by Equalizer did 275 explosion damage, followed by 7.5dmg DOT ever 0.5s for 14 ticks. -Cold Barrel detonated by melee did 300 explosion damage. ** Huntress (no passive)

-Fire barrel detonated by Equalizer did 275 explosion damage, followed by 7.5dmg DOT ever 0.5s for 14 ticks. -Cold Barrel detonated by Equalizer did 300 explosion damage. That's very strange, I only ever got the same damage for cryo and fire barrels. (for me, 225 at time of testing I was on Normal difficulty) You can see the numbers on my raw data tab of the combo table. I guess I need to recheck on Insanity! Interesting that the fire barrel DOT is the same on Normal -> Insanity but the fire combo DOT is increased, from 10 to 13. edIt: derp, my fault for not checking everything. combo table updated.

I made an error in the summary, the cryo barrel was detonated by melee since I didn't fire in that test. Have some Halberd stuff I hadn't put up that was also 275 for the Fire one on gold (so I guess Insanity, gun detonate value). Also want to mention that I am fairly certain all the melee styles I have looked at are potentially multi-target, if not AOE. At least if the animation somehow connects with multiple targets.

Yeah for some reason they use the same base detonation for cryo and fire on Normal but on Hardcore and Insanity they use different values. That's verified in game as well as on the ebx table, so we're g2g now.

Stealth Grid Base Tests-Stealth Grid base bonus duration seems to be about 0.5s, similar to base Tactical Cloak. 1. Does fully-auto weapons have the 2 seconds delay like on Tactical Cloak? (like it does on your tests with TC) 2. Is Avenger Strike bugged with Stealth Grid? (I suppose it is)
