Re: cloak mechanics changing -- Essentially everything will need to be retested with every patch and balance change, since Bioware won't tell us (or more likely, doesn't themselves know) what changed each time.

It seems the debuff properly spreads to ALL infected targets (what would be the point of the spread otherwise - ?? the damage is minor and applied very quickly)

And tests results confirm 250 base affected by (own) debuff but NOT by power bonus or engineering gear. This means for it to guarantee to kill the victim mook on gold [2375 * 0.15 = 356.25] the perks from the passive that enhance the debuff can sometimes matter (support and support systems).

Huntress Biotic Expert and Warrior There was a question on the from asking if Stealth Grid proc'd Biotic Expert. Took a quick look at Warrior and Expert, and it does not proc either one. Have to use Lance or Throw (biotics).
Amusingly, Throw impact will trigger Expert for the subsequent collision.

It seems the debuff properly spreads to ALL infected targets (what would be the point of the spread otherwise - ?? the damage is minor and applied very quickly)
Game files on 6A Virulence :
[5:03 PM] Hello_Isaac:
peddroelm 250 base damage and 2.5m base radius
[5:08 PM] Hello_Isaac: damage scales from 100% at center of explosion to 33% at the very edge
[5:09 PM] Hello_Isaac: so you lose 2.68% damage per 10cm away from the center
And tests results confirm 250 base affected by (own) debuff but NOT by power bonus or engineering gear. This means for it to guarantee to kill the victim mook on gold [2375 * 0.15 = 356.25] the perks from the passive that enhance the debuff can sometimes matter (support and support systems).
Great to know, so 5A Support Systems becomes pretty useful I assume.
On Invasion: Is it better to take 5b (weaken) as opposed to 5A (epidemic) due to your discovery that weaken is actually 40% debuff instead of the listed 10%?
I currently have mine spec for epidemic.

So does this make the choice difficult or is weaken still the best route?
hard to say - probably down to playtesting - preference. I' leaning towards extra spread atm.

Can you clarify this please. It's not making sense with your previous post:
bsn.boards.net/post/650722 From what I could gather, if Invasion 1 is 37.5% and Invasion 5b has a total of 52.5% debuff, it means that the bonus from 5b is 40% or in other words 37.5% * (1 +0.4) = 52.5%.

just a heads up. 1.07 detonating flamer suffers the same way. Flamer DOT replaced by shit fire combo DOT. test numbers edited in the incinerate post above

1.07 incendiary ammo mechanics
changes the weapon's damage type into fire (characters with Elemental Tech debuff perk get *1.35 to weapon damage vs targets that have ET debuff activated on by suitable powers from any player/construct in squad)
provides 25 fire damage per bullet/pellet/projectile impacting target stack-able and applied as 5 second duration DOT twice per second.
Thus the maximum incendiary ammo stacked DOT damage is achieved after 5 seconds of sustained fire on target (assuming clip/magazine capacity to do so). Higher weapon rate of fire, higher incendiary ammo DOT stack limit. (incinerate DOT tick applied at time T will consider the number of bullets/etc impacting target in the time window [T-5 seconds, T] )
the incendiary ammo DOT ticks counts towards advancing and sustaining the "sustained fire" debuff (good for keeping this debuff up while reloading)
detonating the fire COMBO CLEARS the incendiary AMMO DOT and replaces it with FIRE COMBO DOT
incinerate power's DOT can be set up for long duration (~10s ) over which it will keep ET activated on target (DOT AND DEBUFF CANCELED IF DETONATED) providing the *1.35 bonus for weapon damage (if using ammo consumable) and incendiary ammo DOT.
incendiary ammo DOT has the fallowing multipliers vs defenses *1 vs health; *0 vs shields; *1.25 vs armor
related INCINERATE DOT - clears previous incinerate DOTs on target

I think
srkm00b did a lot of cryo ammo tests while testing ET and cryo beam 6a explosion chain .. Not a lot of room left for surprises ..

1.07 incendiary ammo mechanics
changes the weapon's damage type into fire (characters with Elemental Tech debuff perk get *1.35 to weapon damage vs targets that have ET debuff activated on by suitable powers from any player/construct in squad)
provides 25 fire damage per bullet/pellet/projectile impacting target stack-able and applied as 5 second duration DOT twice per second.
Thus the maximum incendiary ammo stacked DOT damage is achieved after 5 seconds of sustained fire on target (assuming clip/magazine capacity to do so). Higher weapon rate of fire, higher incendiary ammo DOT stack limit. (incinerate DOT tick applied at time T will consider the number of bullets/etc impacting target in the time window [T-0.5 seconds, T] )
the incendiary ammo DOT ticks counts towards advancing and sustaining the "sustained fire" debuff (good for keeping this debuff up while reloading)
detonating the fire COMBO CLEARS the incendiary AMMO DOT and replaces it with FIRE COMBO DOT
incinerate power's DOT can be set up for long duration (~10s ) over which it will keep ET activated on target (DOT AND DEBUFF CANCELED IF DETONATED) providing the *1.35 bonus for weapon damage (if using ammo consumable) and incendiary ammo DOT.
incendiary ammo DOT has the fallowing multipliers vs defenses *1 vs health; *0 vs shields; *1.25 vs armor
related INCINERATE DOT - clears previous incinerate DOTs on target
related double incinerate can hit the same target with the impact component twice, DOT will only be applied once (see above)

Wow! no wonder fire ammo seems to be so great on the Rozerad/Hurricane w/extended clip...
