Are you claiming 5a 6a will lift targets with non zero shield amounts ?

On shielded targets, if 6a strips shields, it seems that 5a primes (and disables targets) reliably, while 5b does not (without a second pull). Maybe this changed from 1.08 to 1.09, but that's why I'm asking, as I can't be sure in the heat of battle. My pwnytail needs to know.

peddroelm, I have a question for you. For Pull anti-shield (6A), if enemy shields are successfully stripped, does crushing grip (5A) work as expected? Also, from trying 5A vs. 5B (Expose), it seems 5A more reliably primes than 5B after shields are stripped. Maybe my imagination or something to do with shield-gating perhaps?
Based on what I've seen in my own gameplay, and not any specific knowledge of the code or any detailed testing, I can say a couple things I've noticed.
I use expose/anti-shield for this character. If you strip the last of a health/shield enemy's shields, they will not be pulled upwards, but will just fall over on their face and lay there for the normal pull duration. They will be primed as well. It seems, however, that the game doesn't recognize the shield gate as being broken, as when I hit them with shockwave, next to no damage is done by the combination of the power and detonation. If I shoot them once, then use shockwave, it seems to do the normal amount of damage (i.e. they die on bronze, silver, and gold). So it seems like the one bullet shot gets past the shield gate and then allows everything to function normally. As long as they fall over, I've never had a detonation not occur. It's a little annoying, but not too horrible.
Hopefully someone can do some better tests to back that up, or maybe they'll just fix it.

As a side note on biotics, I did a quick eyeball test on Singularity rank 6 explosion. Rank 20 human adept, no other bonuses. Biotic power damage clearly boosts Singularity damage. Exploding singularity did about 80% of a shielded observer's shields, so +100% shield damage evolution affects the explosion. 700 * 1.4 * 2 = 1960, Gold Observers have 2375 shields. Exploding singularity did about 65% of an shielded observer's health, so +100% damage in rank 3 does not affect the explosion (which matches the description of rank 3). 700 * 1.4 = 980, Gold Observers have 1425 health. Looking at the enemy spreadsheet, that means anti-shield singularity talent has real use to one shot shields on platinum against not-Destroyer type enemies. The highest power damage the human adept can have I think is is 2.6x (30% from equipment, 90% from offensive biotic tree, 40% from veterancy), so 700 * 2.6 = 1820 * 2 = 3640. Highest enemy non-destroyer shields are ~3800, which a single tic of singularity's DoT component will easily help reach. I don't think singularity can boost its own explosion via exposure?

My searchfu sucks. Does singularity explosion self benefit from exposure? Ah, found it, it doesn't. Shame. Still, as monstrous as that number looks, it's on a 20 second base cooldown, and anti-shield competes with 40% recharge. Not quite there to match combat explosive powers to be the biotic grenade due to inability to spam it. To be fair, it's also a great CC power with the 20% damage debuff possible, so I won't complain that much on that front.

Don't forget that it's only a 20s cd if you let it explode on its own. Detonate it early for less CD.

As far as I can tell, early detonation does nothing for singularity cooldown.
That was my experience also. I used ro detonate it early more often than not also, and it always felt the same.

Just a reminder that Siphon very much does work on Shield damage. I've seen a couple people here and there say it doesn't. One thing to note is with a heavy hitter weapon and enemy with low shields, you'll hit shield gate and not bleed through to HP, resulting in very little damage done and thus very little HP gained. But it does work.

I've misspelled : "radius" - provides undocumented *1.25 boost to cryo beam damage.. (very significant)
Does this mean: while you're sustaining Cryo Beam you do get the Elemental Tech enemy debuff, but only about half the time?
cryo beam 100% ET.
Post was about cryo turret vs shields (nothing else freezes shields in MEA) but the cryo turret gets the ET bonus every second bullet vs shields (fires in 2 bullet bursts - first bullet briefly activates ET - long enough for the second bullet to benefit )

So cryoturret is 216 DPS on human engineer without taking ET into account. Still garbage. That's like ~10 seconds for it to kill a simple raider with the said ET buff. If flamer turret shoots the flame concurrently to bullets, that's ~173 bullet DPS + 275 * 1.2 fire DPS for a combined 503 DPS, which is actually respectable and decent in that it will kill dogs and redbar flankers in a more reasonable time frame of 4-5 seconds. Problem is, it interferes with Cryobeam on Humiegineers, and Insurgent has much better way to spend points. That just leaves the Krogan Engineer if it wants to sacrifice Rage (which isn't that bad for Gold now that Rage heal is baseline and procs off spell kills). Not sure if that is worth it still, however....

Dang. I was hoping the veterancy bonuses and the 6B change would let you one shot all basic shields in gold with a full chain build, but it caps out at 2092.5 And a full anti-shield build stops short of one hit stripping of platinum shields (3208; need 3800) Why can't overload benefit from its own elemental tech application like incinerate impact does? Well, at least you can drop rank 4A overload for 4B recharge now to maintain the one hit strip threshold and sync up the cryobeam + overload cooldowns better.

Can you bump up Overload to 3800 with a booster or equipment, though?
I missmathed something. Corrected version:
300 * (1 + .4 + .5 + .3 + .25 + .35) * (1 + 1.25 + .4 + 1.2) = 3234
.4 = veterancy
.5 = offensive tech
.3 = engineering kit
.25 = Overload 3
.35 = Overload 4A
1.25 = base multiplier vs. shields
.4 = offensive tech antishield bonus
1.2 = Overload 5B and 6A
Throwing in a 40% tech booster = 3696. So no, unless outside debuffs are in play.
As for Overload stripping in Gold...
300 * (1 + .4 + .5 + .3 + .25 + .35 + .3) * (1 + 1.25 + .4) = 2464
That is replacing 6A with 6B and 5B with 5A, so
you can get a +2 chain bonus and still one hit kill shields in Gold.
Only thing is, if you want to grab the recharge speed at 4B for this, you gonna need to use a +30% (Gold) tech booster.
Another simple option is to drop 5B for 5A only, and grab the recharge bonus at 4B - you get +1 chain boost, the recharge speed boost, and one hit strip on shields.
