I really would be happy with confirmation it's an RPG... I really hope it is.
What if it is an Action-RPG like Deus Ex or Mass Effect?
What if it is pure Action, like Bioshock or Batman:Arkham City?
I wouldn't mind Mass Effect etc, as long as it has all the strong BioWare elements, mainly that it is story based, character customisation is possible, companions, good story, rich world, levelling, class builds, items and inventory etc.
Bioshock and Batman not so much, as they are more 'lone wolf' games. Companions are essential to the Bioware experience in my view.

"While I can’t discuss what I’ll be working on next, it’s fair to say that creating massive, AAA games is still what gets me excited to go into the studio every day so stay tuned for more on that in the next month or so."
From one stealth project to another. Although there is a very slight clue in the previous line:
"This is a pretty hard thing to do, but it’s the right thing at this stage of my life. My wife and I are expecting our first child and we’d like to do that in a bigger city."
So, ruling out Edmonton and Montreal, what game company has a studio or HQ in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa or Calgary? Assuming he was based in Canada. If he was in Texas, forget about it, we'll never figure it out.
Interesting point about wanting to move to a bigger city to have a kid. Most families move from the city to the suburbs for kids.

Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!
EA Canada, Coalition and Relic are all in Vancouver. Montreal is quite a bit larger than Edmonton, so I wouldn't exclude it entirely, and is home to Ubisoft. But there's nothing to say for sure they'd even stay in Canada; lots of big studios in Santa Monica, for instance, and Cameron's an Aussie--maybe he'd like to settle near an ocean that doesn't want to kill him.

At any rate, bon voyage and good luck!
I only excluded Montreal because Bioware has a studio there. Assuming the biggest motivation was the bigger city, an internal transfer would have achieved it. Of course, since they couldn't talk about the new job, the size of the city might just be a polite way of saying something without saying anything about the job.

Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem, Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Surprised they ant to go to a bigger city to raise a kid, heck Edmonton is pretty big as it is. Vancouver and Toronto are bigger but housing costs there are ridiculous. This almost sounds like really big as in London or some place like that.

Cam's from Australia, and both Sydney and Melbourne have populations 4-5 times bigger than Edmonton. I'd find 800,000 people pretty small too

I would like to see bioware try an alternative to the formula. Pretty much like the witcher. Where you have characters join you and help you, and develops a relationship with. But they aren't necessarily around ALL the time. It would be interesting to see them tackle that scenario for once.
Otherwise I would like a game where every companion in your team is with you when it makes the most sense. Too often in bioware games you're forced to only take with you "this many" even though supposedly it makes sense for everyone to be present
My favorite "cheat" for nwn2 and mask of the betrayer is to add every comp to your party. To get every dialogue and such. Doesn't make much sense to leave only one/two behind doing nothing either.

I agree, it would be nice to see the companions do some of their own things instead of standing around waiting for the PC to talk to them. However, I would want to keep the more in-depth dialogue that the PC can have with them in Bioware games, like asking questions about their opinions and history, and seeing their reactions to events that happen throughout the game. That's what really gets me interested in the companions, and it's where I felt the Witcher was lacking (keeping in mind I've only played the Witcher 3). I would also want more companion quests if they aren't going to be around all the time.

Yeah that's something I'm looking for as well. I agree. And you're absolutely right about the witcher 3

I agree I think that would be great! Evolving the formula is fine by me, just as long as it doesn't end up being something completely left-of-field like a mindless Battlefield FPS clone or something, I'm up for it.
