GameYT u/BenIrvo I think a poll should be initiated for the public to ask what Javelins the community wants to see in the next stream, unless y’all plan on showcasing all four in their full custom attire =)
BenIrvo Lead Producer I kind of already committed to the perspective of the Interceptor being shown as it’s the only perspective that hasn’t been shown... we could do it for however many other players we have? And remember, that’s for the next GAMEPLAY live stream... that may be the next one or it may not. Working through that.

would prefer the perspective of the Interceptor we seen all 3 perspective. The next showing they should what Fort Tarsis, customization, and a battle with a titan.
Justin Masse justinmasse Heard you guys wanted to see some more of the Colossus. Here's a personalization I made today, fresh from the game. #AnthemGame

Rico @r1c00 Great dinner conversation w/ colleagues last night. Among many things, got to hear many different takes on crunching/Overtime from some really smart individuals. Gotta love those face to face discussions.
Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, Jade Empire, Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem, Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Wasn't there a developer at BioWare who stated they company was working on ways to reduce the amount of crunch that goes on?

Yeah, Brenon had this to say a few months back...
There's always pressure to get things done, and the further out something is the harder it is to predict with any accuracy. Generally we just work really hard on the next thing that's in front of us (milestone goals, usually).
As a studio, we're trying to move away from crunch (though it's probably still necessary at certain phases of the project) - a lot of us have families now... we've been experimenting with a "focus mode" lately with a lot of success. The general idea being that you don't do meetings and only deal with stuff directly related to the goals you're working towards (or critical things). 😊
I don't know how successful they've been at implementing this on a studio-wide level, but I'm still hearing crunch stories from BW, week after week, month after month.
PETG @anthempetg @benirvo @gamblemike was there any cool moments from #AnthemFriday? ....and any possible news on the next stream? 😅😁 #AnthemGame #BioWare
iGame @igamehdr Stream will likely be next week from the Interceptor’s perspective if everything goes as planned. 😁
Michael Gamble @gamblemike Ben has something else special planned
Ben Irving @benirvo Next livestream will be this Thursday November 15th at 3pm Austin time / 2pm Edmonton time. We will be looking at the Forge, specifically to show the ways you can customize the appearance of your Javelin. Hype!

There's also crunch and then there's crunch. Like, sleeping under your desk and basically never leaving the office for weeks at a time. If nowadays they're only working 60 hour weeks with a break at home for all day Sunday, that's a huge improvement, relatively speaking.
Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!

This.
It's unfortunate that the term is fairly generalized to mean 'working more than a standard work week' (in Alberta this is >44hrs I believe). So you could hear someone saying they've been crunching for months but only working a few extra hours each day (or one day on the weekend) or a different person, to use a more recent example, could be working 90+ hour weeks and we would still use the same word 'crunch'. Additionally, sometimes people work more hours at their own discretion to hold on to features that would be cut due to scope or to add extra polish to something that otherwise wouldn't get it.
So, context is important until someone starts using different terms (*puts on designer hat*) One might want to break the term up in to Light, Medium, Heavy crunch (with parameters for each) and then have a prefix modifier [Optional/Encouraged/Mandatory]. I'll get to work disseminating this information to my peers and the various news outlets

Awesome, I've been waiting for this. Mac Walters sucks at writing comics, sadly. I didn't like almost all of his Mass Effect comics, but Alexander Freed is an excellent storyteller and hopefully he translates well into comics. I haven't read his Star Wars comics to know.
But perhaps the problem with Mac Walters comics was the artist. We will see.
Alexander Freed @alexandermfreed Have I mentioned I'm co-writing an @anthemgame prequel comic? It was a privilege to return to the Anthem universe... I had the pleasure of consulting on the game a while back. This time I scripted a plot by @macwalterslives, with art by @edufrancisco.
This isn't the first time I've co-written a BioWare comic--I got to work with David Gaider back when on the Dragon Age series--and I admit there's something fun about focusing on execution instead of concept. Here's hoping folk enjoy!
Really, though, the Anthem writing team is full of spectacular folk, and I'm grateful to all of them (and Dark Horse) for welcoming me into the sandbox.

Oh, perfect. Mac Walters is doing plot (his strength), while the script is by Alexander Freed. That's good.
Sean @strayner After 3.68 years at BioWare, this is my last week. It’s been wild & I’m going to miss it, but it’s time for a new adventure. Here’s some of the things I was fortunate to do:
There’s more, but it’s too much to list without spamming. I’m grateful for the mistakes I’ve made, the experiences I’ve had, and thank you if you were part of it in some way.
