Yeah, I certainly wouldn't rule out post-apocalyptic based on that comment. The Walking Dead, Half-Life 2, Mad Max... I would consider all those "modern day", alt-history settings. "Modern Day" was the word used by the interviewer (from the "Contemporary stories" comment in the old E3 video), though Aaryn agreed. |

So, I take it, it is supposed t be something like Butcher's novels with modern-day America and ghetto magic? If it took us around the world, rather than just confined it to the US (and, like, not into every other alien planet's capital, Vancouver), I would not mind, I suppose. Outfits could be edgy. I would love more information so much... I am sure I am the only one and all that. I am hoping they will start opening up a little after this summer.

So until/unless we start getting cryptic tweets about it... Are we following anyone from Austin? Right now I'm guessing it's Secret IP from Edmonton and New IP, possibly Destiny-like from Austin. Austin's new IP is either something completely new, or Star Wars related, or some recreation of Shadow Realms. I was looking some gameplay from Shadow Realms recently. I remember back when it was announced, I was let down because the setting looked modern and Secret World style, but then it was modern people against medieval monsters. Then, there was the four-vs-one aspect, which a lot of studios was gambling on being the next big thing. However, it turned out it wasn't. Also, it seems Dragon Age Inquisition Multiplayer took most of that games functionalities. But there were somethings that made me believe the game could be really good if tweaked a bit. Characters seemed a bit Buffy-like. Keep that, but in the modern world. Ditch the four-vs-one aspect. The game could be something of a Destiny meets Borderlands in it's story progression. And please, let us create our characters. I don't know if was just for the demo, but it seemed like you could just choose from the classes looks. |

Gamespot did a piece about the New IP, based on Aaryn Flynn's interview. While I watched it and thought it was an awesome interview, there's some transcriptions here from stuff I didn't get. - Seems like the Secret IP is the style of every other Bioware game, so it is an RPG like they usually do, basically. - They say it's made by the KOTOR team, like the job posting we were just talking about. So that might be for this one. - While Shadow Realms didn't take, they hope to do a good co-op in a future game.
