You just answered yourself - they are praised because demos stopped being commonplace (for which there are many reasons, AFAIK). Praising Bioware is also seen as implicit criticism of lack of demos (remember how everybody praised successful single player games while at the same time intensely side-eyeing EA? Yeah, this is the same... just the other way around) on the market and encouragement for companies and studios to return to this practice.

Means it's ready for publishing. They're done with the game itself, everything switches over to dealing with patches/upkeep/new content from here on out. The "gone gold" part comes from when CD-Rs were kind of gold colored.

Because of real life, I won't have that much time playing it, so I won't reach the end?

Not that I mind, though, I mainly play the demo for 2 things: See if I like the gameplay (probably), and decide between storm or ranger to main so I can start theorycrafting/

I'm more interested in armour / weapon loadout than coin for cosmetics. I bet basic upgrades are beyond 100 coins.

I'm interested to see grind time vis-a-vis upgrades.
