Trust me we went there. It’s actually a bug in most frostbite games, but shows up more in this type of game. We WILL FUCKING CRUSH THIS. It’s my personal vendetta and I’m very upset it’s still in here (as is the team)

And I don't know if they can fix something they admitted is a very elusive bug, but so long as they keep eliminating triggers for the bug, it will become less and less of an issue.

Some of their words are encouraging. It's not a sound overload (I've had it happen solo during a quiet moment in MEAMP. Within 10 seconds of arriving in the LZ when you're still at wave 0 and no enemies have spawned in MEAP. I had it happen in free play during one of the Anthem demos, in the necropolis, when no other folks were with me and nothing was going on).
I have no doubt it is a tough bug to fix … and there are multiple elements to it. Loss of announcer narrative or the narrative hanging up … that's part of it, not just the complete loss of game sounds.
Like MT says, I don't think they're working on it alone. Dice has to be there too (based on what they've said in the past).
I just hope that it is possible to apply the patch to Frostbite to older games, to fix those. But at least if they fix it in Anthem, that should/might mean that they've squashed the bug for future BioWare games that use Frostbite. At least I hope so.

I'll grant that the way they communicated it was slow and missed the point, but damage control? It wasn't a nerf in the first place, so what damage is there to control? What they should have said right up front is that they accidentally BUFFED loot drops. Then reverted to the previous non-buffed state after 11 hours. But the "loot drops nerfed" meme got out ahead of that and they didn't put the proper context in place quickly enough. But did they revert to the old drop rates? Not according to my experience and not according to lots of others. They actually nerfed even the old drop rates. So yeah, it WAS a nerf. You'd think Bio would be more slack on loot drops given the low metacritic score and give the players a break. But, no.... let's immediately nerf the loot drops. ... something I said thy would do.

Either that or in their incompetence they made the same mistake, but in the opposite direction. But I doubt it's the latter because the improved drop rate was fixed in 11 hours on a Saturday no less. And the current drop rate is not being changed while Bioware hides and stays completely silent. Not even "We'll look into it". But if it's a thread about a silly picture, Bioware's people post all day in it. It was the same with SWTOR. They broke things, lied, were caught and still no fix or apology. I am just too familiar with their pattern.

Isn't DICE responsible for fixing FB engine bugs? It looks like the team was sideswiped on this.
