Well, it's definitely not an RPG, and I wouldn't get hopes up for it being primarily single player either... I would still expect it to skew single player to the same level as, say Destiny. That is to say, there will still be a primarily single player storyline though there are many multiplayer cooperative activities. |

Is it time for our regularly scheduled "What is a RPG" conversation already? Or did I misread what Aaryn intended to suggest with his tweet? Sounds like it. Some people think RPG means gear, stats, and controlled ability progression. Others primarily think of character creation and/or dialogue choice. At this point I have no idea what EA means by the new IP not being an RPG. Maybe Aaron is acknowledging just how unhelpful that statement is. |

Why does everything have to be multiplayer now? Am I in the minority of people who play games to get sucked in to a different world with great characters and stories, to get much needed alone time away from real life. That is virually impossible for me when I have other people from real life talking in my ear and all we have to do is kill things together. Even if I didn't prefer to play singleplayer it's not like I have that many friends who even play BioWare games, I am once again forced to play with random strangers, I don't enjoy that. There are so many games like CS:GO and League of Legends for multiplayer and PVP, I just wish BioWare would keep their formula and focus on the singleplayer experience. Their games are one of the few I actually get excited over nowadays.

I work in a shop, I have to be in contact with people basically all day, when I start my PS4 or laptop I want to relax alone, just as when I read a book. If I want to just have fun jumping from the tower floor to centre Solas's table in Inquisition like an idiot, I have all the right to do it without having other players leaving me behind or being annoyed by me. Plus, I'm the least competitive person around. I basically always go with the easiest or normal difficult level, and I would hate having people mock my (lack of) abilities. And I have your same problem about not having friends who play much BioWare's games, so I would be forced to play with strangers. Most of the time strangers who don't even speak my language. So even more irritating. I add that after a while, I became very bored of killing stuff. And is not like there are other things you can usually do in MP. Killing stuff togher, of killing one another.  Booooooorriiiiiiing!!!! Not for me. |
