SAM needs his own body!

I assume Sam would still be in Scott's head, like Edi was still in the ship as well as her body. That would be...interesting...or awkward depending.

I'm not sure any decapod lives at the required depth to satisfy my craving.

I'm just curious why SAM is gendered as male but voiced by a woman. I constantly think of SAM as female, if I'm gendering it at all, so when the crew refers to 'him', I get a little confused.

Through my first playthrough, I was convinced that the 'family secret' was going to be that Alec had uploaded Ellen's personality into SAM.

But imagine how awkward the romance scenes would have gotten with mom watching.

Same here, now im wondering if we cure her in DLC or in a sequel

according to Sense 8, that would be great 

If SAM has to have a body, I wouldn't mind a more gender-neutral ones like the NS-5 from the iRobot movie.



Sonny, the robot hero, was the best part of it. White "he" is gendered as male, and was given that name by his creator, he doesn't have to be. The NS-5's physical form is not overtly masculine and can be considered androgynous.

As for SAM's gender, I don't know that SAM actually has one? Due to gender coding, what our real-world society commonly accepts as male/female, it's not surprising to me that people would gender SAM as male, but I also don't think that SAM is likely to care about that one way or the other. It's hard to know whether SAM has a concept of that for SAM's own self.

It would have presented an interesting opportunity if Ryder were to ask what SAM prefers.

I'm sure that would make many people very happy.

I would like to know if SAM has a preference, because I constantly think of 'him' as 'her' just based on the voice, and it's still jarring to me that everyone in the game uses masculine pronouns for SAM. But if I knew that SAM requested to be gendered that way, I could get my head around that, if that makes any sense.
I really like the idea of going with a gender neutral body for SAM. But I'd bet a lot of heads would explode if you suggest that something that has no boobies can be female. (not my head)
