There's a flu bug going around the Packers locker room. We had this same thing happen in 2016 before the NFCCG, where we fell flat against the Falcons. Seattle is pretty depleted, so I don't think we're rightly screwed tonight, but after that? F my life. Nope. Just too depleted. But now that it's over and done with, the best of luck to you guys going forward. That game sorta reminded me of the Pack's playoff appearance @ari, where Rodgers hit those two back-to-back Hail Mary's -- the team was under-handed, but the QB single-handedly kept them in the game.
'Gotta hand it to Russ, he really balled out. We had like 30 pressures on D and he just kept making plays so our defense couldn't. He's definitely come into his own as one of the best in the league (I honestly think he may have an argument for *the* best).
Keep your chin up! Once you guys are healthy again and so long as Wilson's playing at this level, you're definitely a legit contender and one of the teams to beat.

I thought I'd be more nervous/antsy for this game, but ehh. They far surpassed my expectations by making it this far. The season has been a success in my books. Don't get me wrong, I want this win bad, but it's not like 2014-15 season where we had made the playoffs a few times in a row and it felt like we were due for a SB appearance. I have been happy to just ride-the-wave this year. But anyway... WHOOOO, LET'S GO! Time to crush some Whiner ass tonight w00t!!

And here we are. It made me sad that the Packers folded so easily. I thought the 49ers would have a slight edge on their home field, but I expected a close game with an uncertain outcome. Aaron Rodgers is 36 and it won't being getting any easier for him. I'd like to see him get another Super Bowl win before he retires. On to the Super Bowl! And no Patriots! But in a backhanded compliment to Bill Belichick, Jimmy Garoppolo did train under him for more than 3 years. I can't make a pick yet. But I'm expecting a really good game, the opposite of last year!

It's good to not need a QB when the opposing defense can't stop the run. The Packers may have to look at the draft to get guys to stop the run. The same can be said for their offensive line. I wonder if Rodgers will decide to retire?
Stop Henry, win the game. That's all KC needed to do, and they did.

*Last sunday... I hate footbaw. I'm sorry. The Packers have appeared to improve under Matt LaFleur, that's something. But they're not consistent. I don't understand why the Packers/49ers game wasn't closer. What happened?

Eli Manning retires after 16 NFL seasons That's sad. He went out in a whimper. Someone of his storied career should have played every game in the season and go out in a bang. Brady should do the same thing. His season was ok this year and retire as a lifer Patriot.

There was a flu bug going around. And California is no place to play football.
In all seriousness, our D-Coord/defense sold out stopping the run in favor of defending the pass all year, and SanFran exposed the hell out of it by running on us.
As for the other side of the ball, this was a game where we had to get the ball out quickly or the 9ers front-four would eat Rodgers alive, and that's just not the style of football he is used to playing. Rodgers has to adjust his style of play to compensate for losing some arm and athleticism with age. I saw some of that this year, but then he'd also often fall back into doing his usual thing very often.
But, like I said earlier, going all the way this year was always going to be a longshot, so I got over this one pretty quickly. I wasn't sure we'd even be a playoff team yet.

Superbowl Sunday
San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs @6:30PM on FOX I believe the key will be the 49ers defensive line. They need to hit Mahomes even if he completes a pass. It will cause him to throw the ball away with the slightest bit of pressure. If Mahomes gets time in the pocket and/or able to create more time when running from the pocket, will the 49ers secondary be able to keep up with the receivers? Hill and Kelce may end up having a big game. The 49ers offense need to slow the game down. Limit the number of drives the Chiefs can have since they can score very quickly. Chiefs win 33-26

What hurt the 49ers is right after the 2 minute warning before the half. They let the clock run down without taking a timeout. Poor clock management.
