My Panthers go with Bryce Young. I was leaning towards Stroud because he's bigger, but Young has the mind. Hopefully he will be what my team needs to do better than what they've done the last few seasons. Now for the WOW. Texans not only get Stroud at #2, but very aggressively traded up for the #3 pick to get Will Anderson. I'm sure Texans fans will be wanting to see results immediately this season. Note: I'm a Alabama fan. It was good to see two players from the Crimson Tide go in the top 3 Bryce Young looks like a dream pick. Your Panthers have waited a long time for this. Good luck!

The biggest concern, and one noted by others, is his durability. A lot of that will depend on the O-line. We'll see what the Panthers do for the rest of the draft I would say there were two winners yesterday. Houston for getting Stroud at #2, then very aggressively traded for the #3 pick to get Anderson. The Eagles realizing they have a chance to get Jalen Carter, a DT who some say would have been the top pick, moved from #10 to #9 to add to their defense. With that, the Eagles defense will be one of the top d's in the NFC if not in the NFL. The biggest surprise is the Colts taking Richardson from Florida as their new QB. I would have chosen Will Levis out of Kentucky

Jonathan Mingo is an underrated pick for Carolina, a beefy WR that can get lots of yards after the catch.
Very very nice draft for the Seahawks. I am pretty upset that the Jets took a one trick pony edge rusher in the first rather than take Smith-Njigba who went to the Seahawks instead. Not happy about that at all.

I couldn't be happier with the Eagles' draft. Every single pick brought in a quality guy, and they might've landed several major additions to the team.
The sky is the limit for Jalen Carter. If he puts in the work, he could become a perennial DPotY candidate. I hope he handles business. He could very quickly eclipse Javon Hargrave, the standout DT who left Philly for an $80M payday in SF; and I feel like that is low-hanging fruit for this guy.
Nolan Smith gets to play alongside and learn from the guy who has already done what he's trying to do. A 240lbs edge rusher can't succeed? He won't excel, or even hold up, when setting the edge? Haason Reddick proves otherwise. I love this pick at 30.
Tyler Steen will likely become a very good Guard under Coach Stoutland, the best OL coach in the NFL. This kid looks like he could become a great Guard, and might be able to slide out to RT if and when it's needed.
Sydney Brown looks like a very good player at Safety. I think his game will make him a fan favorite. I anticipate him being a starter before his rookie season is over.
Kelee Ringo is big and fast. He doesn't need to start with the Eagles having a pair of All Pro CBs. He should get a chance to learn and improve his technique. Maybe he will become a starter in a few years? If he does, this pick turns into a steal. Either way, he provides solid, inexpensive depth.
(Ringo makes 5 Georgia Bulldogs defenders chosen by Philly in the last two drafts: Jordan David DT; Nakobe Dean LB; Jalen Carter DT; Nolan Smith LB; and Ringo CB.
Raiding an all-time college defense for prospects seems like as solid an approach as any.)
Tanner McKee is a big, strong QB who should be able to secure the QB3 role for himself. If he develops well, he could become Hurts' backup, even with the differing skillset.
Moro Ojomo is another DL pick from Texas. I saw him rated as a top 100 to 120 player on several boards, so getting him at 249 feels like a good pick. He has the size to lineup and rush both inside and over the tackle. He'll get to learn from some of the best.
Those are the kids. The Eagles also got D'Andre Swift for a nod and a wink. He became expendable when Detroit drafted Gibbs. Howie brought him to Philly for a 2025 4th rounder. If he struggles to stay healthy or otherwise doesn't work out, Philly will likely get a 4th round compensatory pick. This was a brilliant pickup with little risk.
Drafts rarely work out quite the way you hope, but I can't find fault with anything Howie abd the team did. It was a brilliant draft night. Philly had definite needs in this off-season, and they've done a great job of filling them thus far. If they stay healthy, they'll be in the mix to win SB LVIII.

Philly's schedule is insane! The only "easy wins" (there's no such thing) on the schedule are Tampa and Arizona.
They have a 6-game stretch that runs as follows: DAL, @kc, Buffalo, SF, @dal, @sea. The AFC East and NFC West were the two toughest divisions they could draw, in my opinion.
This season should be wild. Every win will be crucial. I haven't looked at the schedules of other NFC front-runners, but I can only assume SF's is much easier than this. Hopefully, the Rams and Seahawks hand them a few extra losses over last year. Home-field in the playoffs isn't essential, but it's huge, and I want it.
I can't wait for this season. It's always fun to see who rises and who falls.

Another season is upon us. My prediction for the Superbowl is Buffalo vs Philly. For my Panthers, I can see a 10 win season. I believe Bryce Young will be one of the top contenders for rookie of the year. Hopefully the O-line protects him. Hall of Fame game Thursday Aug 3 8:00pm NBC Jets vs Browns - I doubt Rodgers will be in uniform. www.espn.com/nfl/schedule

Boy howdy! you must have high hopes for Rogers taking them to the playoffs let alone the super bowl remember how it turned out when Farve was let go by the Packers and the Jets signed him? I'll say no more. Green Bay Packers all the way

Boy howdy! you must have high hopes for Rogers taking them to the playoffs let alone the super bowl remember how it turned out when Farve was let go by the Packers and the Jets signed him? I'll say no more. Green Bay Packers all the way The Favre year the jets were 8-3 the best team in the NFL after destroying the unbeaten league darling Tennessee. Then FAvre got hurt and the coaching staff lost their nerve on defense. If Favre would have stayed the next year (rex Ryans 1st year) they would have had a good shot. No regrets about Favre
As for Rodgers that whole scenario is a huge gamble by the jets, it will turn out as a triumph or a total disaster.

ah yes, my Panthers. It's all part of the plan. To get the rest of the NFL thinking we won't do much especially with the #1 draft pick. The Jets will have the big head leading to failure while the Panthers sneak ahead into the playoffs. It's all part of the plan. KEEP POUNDING PANTHERS

Football is back and LOVE is in the air!! Go Pack Go I see what you wrote there Everyone saw what my Panthers did with the Jets. I think I will wear a bag over my head until they can figure out what to do. The o-line, if one wants to call it that, was pathetic at best. Hopefully they can do better Friday night against the Giants.

Football is back and LOVE is in the air!! Go Pack Go How has Love looked in training camp? Good. 'Only lousy practices were the first day of 'camp and this past Monday. Whatever else is happening on the play, he is pretty consistently making the correct read, getting the ball to the right place. Last year you could tell he was finally starting to "get it" but it was always a bit up-and-down, like a pattern of: okay day, bad day, good day, repeat... throughout 'camp. He has taken a clear step in the right direction this year.

I will be trying to watch some games from Washington this year for a change since we finally got new owners running the team. Im hoping we get a good culture change away from the Snyder era but to be honest I also want a new head coach. Rivera isn’t the guy to me and we might as well start anew with a new staff to go with new ownership. Maybe Washington plays competitive this year I can only hope lol. Im not sold on the qb we got (hell I don’t remember his name). But this will be a new era of Washington football finally and I know a lot of us are happy for the change.
