It's annoying that every other female alien (and Tann) have lisps and really kills the "krogan" for me. Morda's about as intimidating as a 12 year old with Downe's Syndrome with brittle bone disease. I breaks immersion even more than the asari clones.

Ya, I don't understand why they went in this direction for voices.

It's half the reason why I couldn't take the krogan seriously. It reminds me of The Undertaker talking in Suburban Commando:

Except it's not. The krogan are in the Milky Way. Salarians cross bred dead krogan babies with pyjaks to create the abominations we have in Andromeda. Why do you think they were Salarian cargo?

It's worse than you think. The Salrarians intend to breed with the Krogans. In the next game scenes of Krogan fighting will look like:

I breaks immersion even more than the asari clones. The voice casting is generally just a facepalm in this game. Even in Dragon Age Inquisition they were still very, very clear with what accents were given to certain characters. Orlesians were all hammy french people and Cassandra and Leliana who were Nevarran and Fereldan had weird lisps. Qunari in DA2 were all gruff and the same for the Turians in ME123. All making a gruff voice but also relatively deep. Krogans were all kinda like Wrex or Drack. Eve in ME3 sounded like the Voice 2 female in DA:I, warm and low-pitched for a woman.

Leliana has an Orlesian accent, becasue she was born and raised in Orlais. Her voice is the natural voice of the actually French woman who plays her.

Oh, they were on sale. Obviously. the British were additional 30% off. I don't think I've heard a single Welshman yet, and there's only one Scot. So either Edward Longshanks is the Benefactor or the good British accents cost more.

It's apparently cool now to talk with a speech impediment. Back in the day, you would get put into "speech class" in elementary school to clear that crap up. Now? You get hired for voice work (or get asked to take your clear voice and add a lisp to it to make it unique).

Morda's about as intimidating as a 12 year old with Downe's Syndrome with brittle bone disease. I breaks immersion even more than the asari clones. I'm sure at first Mike Tyson sounds that way as well. That is, of course, until you discover that instead of breaking immersion he specializes in breaking faces... and eating ears. There are some minor NPC's whose voices are lacking but, in my opinion, majority of important NPC's, both Ryders, and all members of our crew are top notch this time around.

How is is OK to make fun of those with a lisp and wrong to do that to any other disability around here? The down syndrome thread had more sandy vaginas than Pakistan.

Tyson was THE exception to that rule. Most of it because out of the ring, he carried himself like an alpha male and didn't take any shit from people who tried to think of him as soft. These Andromeda characters come across as pencil-necked geeks. I can't take it seriously, it's so bad. Reminds me of that one salarian nerd in ME3 that you couldn't shoot because he needed to sell his black market stuff to Septimus (turian general from ME1 who apparently now runs CSEC in ME3).

Male Ryder was pretty damn good. Way better than Manshep in 1. But he still comes across as a pussy. Hell, I get an erection when he tries to be stiff.
