Show Us Your Modded Ryders!

I've cleaned up preset 7 (I can't remember her name, starts with , with pre-set 6 skin (Desiree) and brows (just because, I guess). I actually saved this one, because I want her for NG+, but I probably go for cornrows and no makeup on the eyes.

So when I first posted the original tutorial on how to swap out skin textures manually, which @carefull was nice enough to adapt to it's own thread so it wouldn't get lost, I took for granted the fact that people attempting this would know, say... what a 'normal map' was.

So here's some insight into how all this works and what all these terms I've been using actually mean: bsn.boards.net/post/640532/thread. It's not very long or in depth, but hopefully it'll help people who are really new to this get a better sense of what they're doing and why. And how to get the results they're looking for.

Well, wrinkling depends on light really but it's only with this texture. 
Her forehead it totally fine.

Ok, legendary Preset 6. Default diffuse map, Amy normal map, Pale skin. Can not say I am proud of her, but it does look as an improvement over what I could get out of the Preset before:





At least I found some use for that haircut. For some reason it never looked good on any other of my Saras.

Yeah I might try downloading some nwe hairstyles eventually to play around with but I'll likely wait until all the patching and stuff is done first before I attempt it. Besides I'm quite happy with the hairstyles as they are anyway so I'm not really in any rush. Also it depends on how easy I find MEA to mod on my system if it works as well as DAI's then that would be cool as DAI is fairly easy to install a mod and get it working but none of the ME's have been

I'm using default Sara's skin and Preset 1 normal map, I really like it!

An my current Jin Ryder, preset 1. I can't decide if I like her more with her original skin texture or with the default's.

Everything still works.  You may have to re-download and install everything (I did), and redo the texture swapping (if you did that), but it all still works just fine.

Hmm.  I did start a new game, so maybe that's it?  I'm not really very good with all this stuff, so I can't offer any other suggestions.
