Yes, but if people who don't like her in the trilogy would be happy about it then they'd be unhappy that she's in MEA. Unless she's still in cryo or didn't safely escape the asari ark.

Then she never would have been in the Trilogy for us to have even known about her until now and she would have been an entirely new character in MEA... Regardless, if you'd already met her after ME1, there's absolutely no chance Liara would have left to go on the Initiative. She's far too obsessed with Protheans to leave the Milky Way and not get to study them further, but she also has a complete, undying love for Commander Shepard. That's whether you romance her or not. Whether you like the character of Liara or not, you have to admit she does have unending devotion to Shepard even if the two of you are just friends. She's the only one who tracks down your dead body for Cerberus just with the glimmer of hope that they can resurrect you and bring you back. Honestly, I never romanced Liara, and I've always considered Garrus my Shepards best friend, but Liara really is arguably the BEST friend Shepard has in the Trilogy. There's just no way she would ever leave him and nothing she wouldn't do for him. |

Well if Liara had left, she would have never found the plans for the crucible and the reapers would have just rolled in a curbstomped everyone. There would have been a reaper in dark space for every alliance race by the time anyone reached Andromeda.

So in that time, the MW people invented the Mac Drive and can get to Andromeda within a day or so. Easy peasy. So Ryder is still 15 (or however old they are supposed to be) while Liara is about 750. And the best part is: Since Shepard is alreaady dead for over 500 years at least, there is nothing stopping Ryder from romancing her.  Ok, I should stop now, wouldn't want a BW writer to read this. |

Liara alone is better than 73.4% of content in Andromeda. So I think Im glad she wasnt shoved into that ark and forced into crappy dialogue with tweedle dee and his twin sister.

My main issue with this thread is that Peeby is essentially Liara with a different personality. She and Peeby would either be best of friends or rivals. Even then, Peeby already has a rival.
Marvel and DC are full of alternate dimensions and timelines. If Bioware did do a retcon they would be far from the first to do so.
