This is supposed to be in the Deluxe Edition? I don't remember seeing it in my wardrobe, even after getting the "special shipments."
As far as I know, the hoodie is the casual attire listed in the bonuses for the Deluxe editions. It seems others have different degrees of trouble in getting the content to show up so that may be the case for you. I got access to the game last night and was concerned not to see any of my Deluxe or Pre-order items. Turned out you have to specifically install them on Xbox by hitting the menu button while over the game in My Games and selecting Manage Game. I didn't even know you could bring up a menu at all from there! Why it didn't just install the content automatically I have no idea

On a side note 'Nexus Uprising' is a good book, but I am very pleased that I played the game first and got the 'Ohhhhhhhh' moments from the game, but the book fleshes those things out well. At what part in the game is it safe for me to read the book? Right now I just left the Nexus for the first time and sitting on the Tempest. Am I far enough in the plot to safely read the book or should I advance further in the game?

Will update when I am further into the book.

I hate to say it but I'm not seeing a lot of replay potential in this game. Right now, about 25 hrs in with this character, the most compelling thing is the mystery behind what's going on. Once I finish the game, that won't be a mystery anymore. I've got all the squadmates now but none of them really "pop" for me. This is a huge disappointment because the replay value of the ME trilogy (and DA games too) comes from the characters and having different relationships with them. Right now, I don't really care about any of them.

Regarding the music, I would like to say that I am really satisfied from what I have heard so far. Many moments reminds me of the Interstellar soundtrack, especially the main theme. This is good news to me because it is different from the "action shooter" orchestral sounds of Mass Effect 2 and even Mass Effect 3. It really appears that Bioware really wanted this to be a true sci-fi experience in terms of visuals, tone, and even sound which I respect.
I cannot wait to play some more this coming Sunday when I will have more time with less distractions.
Regarding the facial animations (Asari/Humans), yeah it really sucks but oh well. I believe that MEA makes up for it in many other departments to the point where I can ignore the clunky facial animations.
Regarding easter eggs, well, there was this one moment in the game that was really cool and hit a lot of emotion. Not I want to cry emotion but considering the route/choice I made in the ME trilogy, it was nice to experience this....moment and for me it really connects the ME Trilogy with MEA.
Regarding customization, man....I am blown away! Again, I am really early into the game but it appears that in terms of armor, weapons, and even skills/powers it looks like I can take my Ryder in so many directions. I cannot wait until I get deeper into the game and be able to play with all these options once I gain more money/skill points.
Overall, I am pleased thus far by just how sci-fi heavy this game is. This is what I think Bioware wanted to achieve with ME1 but for whatever reasons, was not able to reach. However with ME2 and ME3, they pushed aside the sci-fi approach and went towards a more action-packed pew pew approach. In my opinion, MEA in some ways is and can still be that action-packed pew pew game, but it appears that this is heavily focused on the hard sci-fi. Especially if you are the type to actually immerse yourself in all the codex entries and learn about things.
More opinions to come Sunday....

That is unfortunate I am not deep enough in the game to understand what you are experiencing, but I believe that this game will offer me a good amount of replayability as I play as a different Ryder with a different class, personality, romance, and decisions.

I am sorry Melbella. The game is great for me, wished it worked for you as well have you done the personal quests as well? Don't want to talk spoilers here but there are little things I really enjoy about all of them. Hope something will turn it around for you

Having a lot of fun so far: the story, the gameplay. Good times. Loving my nerdy, awkward, excited and unsure Ryder. She's got competence but not so much confidence. Maybe that'll change. We'll see. It's interesting to see crew meetings where the leader has a bit of trouble taking charge. Cora's pretty much directing them.
Think I've found my favorite squadmate of the game. Definitely Ryder's romance if it can happen. Got some good interactions. Interesting contrast in personalities but complimenting and fitting in a way. Won't name names. Very curious to see how a romance would play out.

Haha, I'm still surprised my suggestion did so well.
After having played more, I can say that I am already thinking about a male Ryder I’d like to play. :ulikeit: Still a bit bumpy in “voiceing” my current Ryder the way I want, but such is the way of being unfamiliar with the dialogues. I haven’t spent much, or any real time with the characters yet -- have all but one squadmate. There hasn’t really been an “instant” connection yet like with some other Bio characters, but that’s ok. There are already a couple or few with positive first-impressions and I’m looking forward to getting to know this group. Some might take some warming up to, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And by the grace of the space gods I still don’t actually know who’s romancable yet. I am curious to see how things go... Despite my initial excitement of the CC, it seems more limiting than I thought. Combat is also different in an uncomfortable way for me but that could change with time as I get more used to it. I have noticed some animation quirks (don’t know how bad the complaints were) but I don’t think it’s that bad. Idk, I feel like I might be paying more attention to it just because there was a big stink about it. And the saving -- I want more control over when I can save... I’m always a bit slow to start in games, but so far I am enjoying myself. It feels crisp and reinvigorated -- or maybe that’s just me. It is feeling sciency in very good ways, and I am immersing quite easily. It’s nice to be back in Mass Effect, feeling old and new at the same time.

Seven Zettabytes I just wanted to let you know that while playing last night I was getting a slight headache but no motion sickness. After adjusting the brightness settings it seemed to help. I have played about 6 hours of the game so far and have experienced combat as well as exploration with no symptoms of motion sickness, just a slight headache. I hope that helps! Thank you for letting me know, that did help! After reading your post I adjusted the brightness settings before playing. I have played about the same amount of time by now, and I haven't experienced any motion sickness or headaches.

have you done the personal quests as well? I have some of them started, in the journal, but none are close to done yet. Maybe if the Tempest wasn't such a maze everyone would be easier to talk to? As it is, by the time I find anyone, I forget why I was even looking for them.
At least I finally figured out how to get more than 3 colors out of the outfit customizer, so now Scott is running around in black and purple armor.

I actually think the Tempest is easier to traverse once you figure out where the ladders are. God, I love those ladders and oh my god, the fact that the map now tracks roaming companions.

Ohh... I love the ship. And how they move around it, feels more alive that way. You can always look at the map if you want to talk to someone special. Remember feeling confused in the beginning but now I zoom around it.

Meanwhile, my game still hasn't come in the mail yet. I'll just bet it won't arrive before 3 o'clock. Though, I hope it's not a repeat of when I pre-ordered DA2. Which came a day later. Next time I'll just pick it up at a store when it's out or near launch. I got to buy ME3 one or two days before EU launch so I seem to have better luck with stores than with the mail. If you ordered on Amazon, let them know. Unlike GAME which didn't seem to give a damn that my launch preorders hadn't even started their process after launch, Amazon is quick to try to rectify the situation and compensate you. They may even give you a digital code. Nah, no Amazon. That's not a thing here. But they came after 3 like I predicted. Funny thing is, my game, which is PC version. Is just an empty box with a booklet containing the code. We received an email yesterday from the store we ordered at that they were not aware of this until they received the games themselves. I wish they would've just mailed me the code instead of sending an empty box via mail.

Familiarizing myself with the Tempest is easier than it was with Skyhold, at least. So, after actually interacting with people I think I have met some new best friends. Have also experienced my first rejections. Plural.

Oh my god, I know I've said something like this before and it may seem like such a small thing but I just love how Ryder can say smart stuff like casually explain how a human eye works without missing a beat and without being obnoxious about it. It's just a thing she knows.
It''s diffcult to explain but it feels very natural: she knows some things but not everything. She’s not treated as stereotypical nerd for knowing these things. She’s not obnoxious about it, it’s just something she knows. It’s part of what I like about this game: a character on a scientific mission of exploration actually likes, well, science and is interested in it. It’s a nice breath of fresh air.
