As I think Sartoz said earlier, there should be no spoilers anyway outside of spoiler threads, but you know what the internet is like.

Sadly, in a moderator capacity, I suspect going dark won't be an option for me, but let's at least make it possible for those who want to.

As others have said, the premise but I feel I should note that we've seen something revealed that pertains to the player character and which would be considered a major spoiler by many.

I wasn't personally so bothered by it since it is something that the player character would know but I know others that want to completely experience the game without spoilers would likely be very bothered by the revelation. I should warn that you can be spoilered on this by Google if you try to search mass effect ryder as it shows up as a search suggestion. It is also commonly and casually mentioned in threads including sometimes in the title.

On Twitter, it has been posted that the doors to the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe will officially be opened on N7 Day, the 7th November. This seems to be where they'll talk freely about Mass Effect: Andromeda including in revealing further information and go into the details especially as they've kept to what they've said earlier about doing so in the fall.

Depending on the information flow leading up to this date, I will likely begin my complete blackout of all things Mass Effect then. I want to stick around for the speculation, discussions and theories but I also don't want to get spoiled on certain things like the companions so that does seem to be the right time to take my leave.

I think it was a mistake for EA/BioWare to shut down BSN, but ...

This seems to be a success, creating a place for ME and DA fans to converge, talk about games, have off topic discussions on all manner of things. In a mostly civilized fashion.

But ... this is a place primarily devoted to BioWare games, to the point that some of the BioWare devs apparently come here, some just lurking, some appearing in our midst, to post something relevant, to include quelling rumors or whatever. Which I think is cool. And very much in line with that which was the old BSN ... back in the day. Which gets back to shutting down BSN being a mistake ... but this site makes up for it and gives devs a place to see what some of the more passionate, knowledgeable and opinionated fans might be thinking.

I suppose from a business perspective, this makes sense for EA ... they don't have to host their own site ... with mods and all ... but their devs still can gain insight to what some of BioWare's most ardent fans are thinking. I don't give EA enough credit to think they were being Machiavellian in this ... it more like just being short sighted, but getting lucky.

Good on the devs for coming here. Thanks. Seriously folks. Now go make sure ME:A is great.

Yep, the plan is to open a 'Spoiler' section for MEA, I think there would be value in opening a section for MEA characters and for MEA multiplayer as well.
Cyonan plans to open new section(s) before N7 Day.

I know what people are like, though.
Occasionally through maliciousness, usually through stupidity, I expect spoilers will drop into the 'normal' section for moderator tidy-up,
which is why this 'special' spoiler-free thread exists

Yeah I know really looking forward to it. Got my N7-hoodie ready. I will wear it to work and be fabulous :wizard:

Figured that I would revel in all the nice news for a while and then go hide under a rock after that. Haven't got a really detailed plan, just know that I knew too much going into DA:I so lots of little things that would have been wonderful surprises ingame where known to me beforehand. It isn't easy striking the balance between joining the pre-release hype and not spoiling your first PT.

Hope there will be a few more people in here when we get closer to release
