Can anyone tell me how spoilery the gameplay video was while keeping it vague? Like, do we see any new companions? If we do, please don't mention their race or name, just a confirmation that a new companion appears is all I need. Two new squadmates as far as I can tell. Brief, but we do see them. Also maybe the voice/name of a couple others? Hard to tell.

Oh well, s’not like it changes whether I’m getting the game or not. Just gotta wait a bit longer to see it for myself.

Can I join up here? I'm deciding to go dark now until the game is released. You're very welcome. In the scheme of things, there probably aren't that many spoilers in the wild yet, but if you want a fairly clean experience of the game, that'll certainly change once we hit January.

If there are some non plot, characters, or locations related stuff that was shown or discussed in today's NVIDIA presentation, can some brave soul post those details in this thread?
Or at least give a vague non-spoiler cliff notes of what was shown in the presentation.
Thanks

Also, when the Temptest landed on the planet, was it all seamless like they say like No Mans Sky or was it done through cutscene? How good did the game look? Was it played on the GTX 1080i? Thanks for your response!

It didn't show the whole landing sequence, just coming in for the landing and touchdown. I don't know how to compare to NMS since I haven't seen/played that.
The game looked fine to me but other peoples' opinions differ.
In the intro they mentioned the 1080 so I think that would be a yes.

Does anyone know if the 'Sibling Rivalry' video is safe to watch? Honestly at this stage, NO video is safe to watch. Better to just avoid them and safe your curiosity for when you play the game for the first time. However, I would like to know about what that video was about. This is my first time hearing about it.

However, I would like to know about what that video was about. This is my first time hearing about it. It was posted on Bioware's YouTube channel and features the voice actors of male and female Ryder. Bioware has done videos with voice actors before for Dragon Age: Inquisition, but most of them were about goofing around and mostly unrelated to the plot of the game (except for who the companions were, because their voice actors had videos of their own). This video is probably the same, but I just want to make sure because it looks like it's more of an interview this time.

Unfortunately that's about as far as I went into it, to see that it was the voice actors sitting together, but then I didn't want to hear any more, so I can't really tell you beyond what you already know.

I'm liking how helpful people are with those who are asking for spoiler vetting advice, thanks. OP updated as we appear to be offering an additional service in this thread. Is it safe?
You can also use this thread to ask about particular videos or promotional materials and people can try to give very gentle non-spoilerific assessments of their content so that you can decide whether to watch or read them.As before I'd ask that people who are helping are really vague with detail but descriptive about types of content.

I am curious about hearing the voice for female Ryder but old paranoia about spoilers run too deep, I'm afraid. I do appreciate people being willing to provide non-spoiler information about the contents of the trailers and such
I'm so glad there's only about three months 'till release because it's so hard to resist looking at all that information and oh, the speculation, fanart and excitment. I always like sharing in that but I can do this. I can do this!
www.thefreshquotes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/You-have-to-get-up-every-morning-and-tell-yourself-I-can-do-this..jpg
Note: I've already heard the voice for male Ryder and female Ryder is the one I'll be starting with.

I want to wait for my first playthrough to hear their voices for the first time. After going through the whole trilogy following all of the marketing, I want to go into MEA with somewhat of a fresh experience (I viewed the survey leak a few years back so there are some details I already know).

I do not even want to hear their voices yet. Thats how extreme I am. I want to wait for my first playthrough to hear their voices for the first time. After going through the whole trilogy following all of the marketing, I want to go into MEA with somewhat of a fresh experience (I viewed the survey leak a few years back so there are some details I already know). Mass Effect: Andromeda is the first Bioware game where I go into it not knowing much beyond the premise, what I've speculated and a few bits like the survey. I want to be blind on everything else because I want to try for once to play a Bioware game without much information and experience, well, that experience. It's what I do with most Telltale's Games and I've found just how much I enjoy playing games like these more or less completely blind.
I was spoiled on some major things during Inquisition and the sadness and disappointment I felt over never getting to experience those twists and surprise appearance just sat with me. I mean, I lost out on the Solas twist. At least, I had developed suspecions and already formed an impression of him but I was still sad that the eventual reveal lost part of its impact and that I knew it was coming. I think that coupled with my experiences going blind into Telltale's Games culminated in me wanting to play Andromeda this way.
I want to try not knowing who the companions will be and see how that first impression will play out. I want to experience most of the worlds as my character does like if the character crash lands on an unknown world or becomes lost in unfamiliar territory then I don't want to be familiar with the world or territory. I want to feel disorientated about my surroundings, I want to feel worried about my missing companions and I want to not know what to expect as I make my way. That is the kind of experience I want to try for once to have. I suppose it's fitting: if my character is experiencing the unknown and uncertain then it might be all the better if I am as well.
The only thing I'd want to see before the release is the character creator because it'll save me time when the game is released if I know some of the options and limitations. I like to make a character design because otherwise I'll be stuck in the character creator for likely a very long time and that's not always a pleasent feeling when it's the first playthrough and you really want to get started.
Note: I don't know if the character will crash land and all that. it was just an imagined scenario.

1) I am in a similar boat as you. I did read the survey leaks a few years ago so there are a few details that I know but even then, it is so vague. Most of it was gameplay related, not plot. 2) I do however know some of the squad members. Before I discovered this place, I was risking things by hanging around the Mass Effect reddit and accidentally discovered the race and name of some newly revealed companion. I also accidentally read some other soft details but nothing really big, which brings me to my 3rd point. 3) All of the core surprises for me still remains intact. -I do not know any names or descriptions of any of the playable planets. - I do not know how many playable planets there are. - I know the name of the enemy alien race but I do not know who the sole villain is and what their motivations are i.e. Saren and The Illusive Man. - I do not know the starting location or any details about the game's prologue. Like Eden Prime in ME1 or Vancouver in ME3. Furthermore, I do not know anything about what major event happens that really kicks off the story like the Geth attack on on Eden Prime, the Collector Attack on Freedom's Progress and the Reaper attack on Vancouver. - I have been staying away from those Andromeda Initiative videos so some of the details rergarding the project I still dont know about - There are many other details I am still out of the loop on and I will like for it to remain that way all the way to 21 March. As for the Character creator, I want that to to remain a surprise as well. I will most likely an hour or so on character creation so I dont mind scrolling through the options for an extended period of time in order to get comfortable with everything. I just hope there is an option to change our appearance early in the game like the mirror in DA2 and DAI.

Yeah, me too. I was spoiled on Solas and Blackwall both. I'm going to try my darndest to avoid the forum until I've finished the game but I know that's going to be hard, especially if the structure/length is anything like DAI. I don't know if I can avoid this place for a whole month. That also means I won't be able to play MP unless I mute the chatter, just in case something slips from another player. I would like to get started on MP early this time around too, since I was very late to the party in ME3 and missed out on a lot.

Even this thread comes with risk. Callout to posters to use generic races please when discussing vague content, eg, 'the Asari', 'the Krogan'. It's the forum equivalent of peeking through your fingers
