I'd say the MEA side quests are better. That's anecdotal. Off hand, I agree, but MEA has the fresh newness of "only played once."

Has anyone compared DAI side quests directly to MEA side quests? Rather than Anecdotal, actual crunchy numbers kinda stuff. I've been pondering doing do myself. That would take some time and research if you are talking a detailed comparison. Or do you mean how many side quests are liked more between the two games?

Things like: were audio dialogue's given, was there feedback from the NPC(s), and does it connect to any plot line or simply immerse one in the world? Also, whether or not the Protag should be bothering considering job description.

I am wondering what conversation choices you made with her because even when I disagreed I didn't get any bad vibe from it at all. She even says she's OK with you disagreeing and that she enjoys the challenge to her faith as it makes her question it and that she enjoys the debate. That is a good description of our first conversation. I'm talking about when we learned that the Angaran's had been created. She seemed to have a crisis of faith about it that I still don't quite understand. The conversation went poorly, from my perspective. Uhh you are correct I was thinking of the first conversation. I can't exactly remember the other conversation but I do remember that she was initially OMG what does this mean for my belief but I thought she rationalised herself back to why she still believed their was a creator. It was something like who created the Jardaan or something like that.

It was something like who created the Jardaan or something like that. The question was if the Jaardan are advanced scientists, who created life and got hit by the Scourge, is her Creator/god fallible as well. I went with "There was no proof either way, yet it never bothered you before". I'm not sure if her reaction was negative or judgemental, more like neutral (she needed to vent it out, not to discuss).

i really support the idea but it was a tall order. Yeah, somebody would have to be really bored and have a lot of time on their hands to dig into all that. Neither game is tiny. From what little is still clinging in my brain, they seemed about equal. There's a little audio in either the get, the resolution, sometimes both. The majority of them were, even from description, nothing that should have been spent any time on from a narrative perspective. I think DAI did it a little bit better because they tended to loop you around areas where you needed to be for the main quest anyway, so there was at least a perceived flow for how to approach a chunk of terrain. Overall I enjoy DAI more, still playing through now for my 7th or 8th time, and I'm stalled out on my second playthrough of MEA.

Addiction is already trying to feel out the potential new hits. But even Anthem is a year or more out. Detroit: Being Human is coming out sooner than that. I've done MMO so very little I may as well just say I've never tried one. What could prove a winning grace for Anthem, for me, is that I actually am now part of an online gaming community here. I can actually connect to non ass holes to play Anthem if I find the story intriguing enough.

Finally completed my First PT of MEA. Read a couple threads in the Anthem part of the forum. Sighed. Still nothing that makes me even want to bother. You guys? I talked about this before. It doesn't look like any game I've ever been interested in or will ever have any interest in. That's not say I wouldn't try it at some point, but I've seen nothing to make me want to try it. At all. As far as your question about side quests re MEA/DAI, I've done no crunching, I can only say that I found MEA side quests more enjoyable and less tedious. P.S And thanks for the invite

I'm going to wait until it gets much closer to release and then give it a fair looksie - can't miss out on fun. Same as I did with Bioware's Star Wars MMO - but I didn't end up buying that. My son did though and he enjoyed that game.

I recently stated that the Companions seemed more like a Theme person than a person-person. I wanted to explore one character with you guys at this point. Initially, Drack just seemed the token Krogan. 80% of the game, I thought this, missing Grunt and Wrex a bit. Then I had the scene about him being ready to die due to the horrendous pain of multiple implants and that only a Shaman dumping Kesh in his lap implying they should just go die together made him want to live again. This was beautiful, and incorporated so many things. Handicaps, the emotional toll of intractable physical pain, suicidal ideation, and getting over yourself for another.
Vetra's shallow family arc came no where close.

Vetra's shallow family arc came no where close. i will admit Vetra was my most disappointing character. I dub her "Miss Shady Mom." And she constantly contradicted herself between words and actions. "I want to live a clean slate, why oh why, maybe now that you're here!" turns around and gleefully does one shady deal after another. Then at the end, she's talking about being a land owning farmer Turian and I'm like, "Do ye even know yourself, woman?!"
