whoa, wait. Someone somewhere said Ryder was supposed to be 22. I call BS. Actually if you don't count cryo 22 matches with the DOB But Ryder has had two careers that she's left. Ridiculous.

Yes I remember your dilemma at the time. Reyes is too smooth one of my Sara's romanced him by accident I then had to go back several saves as I was trying to romance Jaal but ended up bailing on that and running to PB as I just wasn't comfortable with the Jaalexperience. I like your Koala Kitty name, but I always thought Angaran's looked like an Asari + Hanar cross breed? AS I never played ME1, the closest I got to a Hanar was seeing them through some glass in ME2. Did you play any of the MET? There is one in ME3.

She did some soldier-y stuff that got her her shooting skills. But she also was digging up artifacts Liara style in the Milky Way. So I guess she had a busy 4 years, having two careers and maybe college same time, before being frozen and sent to Andromeda.

And when did Ryder get her degree in anything? look at Daniel Jackson in SG. Or real life college people often to join the military to take advantage of programs that help with that. Plus as far as i know the prothean ruins is an alliance facility. And that means guards.

That'd be a confronting but interesting choice at the start of the game!!! Would have definitely added replayability times a million for me. Players choice to play the upstart kid who earns their place or the battle tested vet. Alec would not have gotten anything but casual romance options, though, considering he's so attached to Ellen he froze her. In my dreams as for how the setup would have worked, it would have been Male or Female Parent, Male or Female Offspring choices for PC. With 5 years of development they could have made it so that whichever Ryder Parent wasn't taken would just be flat out dead (instead of a popsicle) amd the other is the one that got stuff going for the initiative. From the look of the setup, Alec and Ellen both did a lot of work on SAM and Implants, so it wouldn't have changed much. Scott and Sara would be unchanged, the only difference being that one dies on Habitat 7 and the other stays in stasis as per normal. Replayability would have gone up for me; Scott and Sara are just not different enough for my liking, and with the openness of skill-acquisition (which I love, I hope that stays), there's just NOT a lot of reason to go through the game more than a couple times.

Can someone explain why the Initiative would go out of their way to segregate races to certain planets before they'd even arrived? Sounds like a bad idea. This feeling of ...speciesism kinda continues when in the post game, they start being paranoid about the Angarans in a way that made me very angry.

That and she did have qualifications. More so then Scott anyways. And Scott just did guard duty at a mass effect relay. Would have been one of the first waves to die in a Reaper attack. It's because PAthfinder is a made up job with made up tasks, probably entirely conforming around Alec's expertise. Alec and Jein probably came up with the name.

I totally agree with the Meridian ownership, that was very sneaky and just because the "Hyperion" crashed there seems to be the logic!!!! Do we know how big Meridian is, because I am assuming from first glimpse that The Salarians would want a piece of that action as well and the Asari. What made me think about it at all was Kallo and the Salarians, I assume they need a specific biome (is that the right word?) to be able to reproduce, although I assume they have a technology supported way of doing it on a smaller scale. The Turian's I am not sure about from a reproductive point of view but with their different food requirements I am guessing again that they need a specific type of home world and now that H-047c is a bust, Avitus better get pathfinding pretty quickly

Whereas Salarians, Human's and Asari are similar and can eat similar foods so could share a homeworld if necessary I suppose.

This feeling of ...speciesism kinda continues when in the post game, they start being paranoid about the Angarans in a way that made me very angry. Each species has its own needs. I'm sure the worlds will be more integrated than we see in the Milky Way, but they still need their own ecosystems. Krogan can and do thrive in environments ill-suited to other species. They also hope to eventually resume rapid reproduction. At the very least, they have plenty of reasons to want something of their own. Asari may look like blue humans, but they aren't. They consume element zero. It's part of their make-up. Asari get sides of eezo with meals in Thessian restaurants. (It's not added directly to the food on account of non-asari patrons.) The asari ideally need a world rich in element zero. The idea that they'd find a garden world rich in eezo in Heleus is absurdly unlikely, but so is the entire Ai. They'd likely try to recreate Thessia, even if it takes many asari generations. Salarians, likewise, do best in hot, warm environments. They're intelligence allows them to adapt to a wide variety of conditions, much like real world humans. It still makes sense to try to find a new home world. The dextro-DNA species obviously need worlds that would cater to their needs. The turians can tolerate more direct solar radiation than others, while the quarians have shite immune systems and fit into a completely different type of ecosystem. Just because they can live together in a pinch doesn't mean that this should be the baseline plan. Every species rightly wants to find a new homeworld, a cradle for their species. I'm sure they'll welcome some members of other species. The homeworlds, though, would ultimately be "sovereign soil" uniquely suited to their respective species.
