At 1:39 I got a synthesis flashback. That PTSD is real.
Good thing these games let you make your own face because the default male face looks like a stick in the mud. Like the guy who has a stick up his butt, doesn't know how to have fun and has a monotone personality. That's the kind of face I just want to punch. And is it just me or is his body not proportional in the cutscene (2:42)? His arms look too small and his head too big. Kind of like the smallest male body size in SWTOR.
With the asari run sequence Bioware removes all doubt that butt shots will continue to be a Mass Effect staple.

The Playstation 4K trailer is labeled as 'pre-alpha'. What does this mean in dev terms?
I thought "pre-alpha" would be closer to a proof-of-concept exercise. Since it is being used as a demo at the Playstation convo, I'm assuming that we are seeing a very minute portion of actual game play and art design. I'd like to better understand what I'm actually seeing in this trailer. Thanks for your helpful comments.

I wonder if you can jump off the map, & fall to your death with the jetpacks? The way the levels are designed, these strike me as jump-assist jetpacks, so I'm assuming you can only fire them for a short time before they need to recharge. So yeah... I'm pretty sure you can still fall to your death, futilely popping your jetpack a couple of times on the way down.

No problem if the asari wears that outfit while going out for a walk, shopping or on a date because it's quite a casual attire. She looks fashionable in those clothes. But if everyone around you is wearing "astronaut" gear or combat gear, that means the mission demands safer attire. And not covering a vulnerable body part such as the abdomen is asking to take a deadly shot right there.

I'm really not digging the Asari character. The video didn't indicate which BioWare character archetype she is, and as for the 'warpaint'... I'd appreciate it if she had it on and off, on when she's going out for a fight. But I doubt it'll happen. I'm not digging the ascoon either. But then again I never digged the asorry. And what's with the belly button thing? If she is a squadmate, I hope she is optional. or at least not required for any missions. The "warpaint" thing. I don't know. Maybe give her a cape and she could be the asari version of Robin. Or better yet. Give her a green jacket with question marks and she could be the asari's version of the riddler

90% of gamers is "extremely casual"? 90% of gaming today is done on 1080 screens. Until one drops below a hundred bucks, I'm not upgrading. And even then, I'd have to seriously consider it. I'm on a PC, just got through checking the steam stats, yep, Something like 85% of all PC gamers are on 1080 monitors. I dunno where this dude is getting his figures, but I wouldn't suggest sniffing them. Im not saying 1080 is extremely casual. I'm saying this is 2016 and games should run at 60 fps, not 30. Yes, the difference is huge. I'm on PC and play in 1080p as well

Also, the asari makes me think a bit about Sera. She seems the sort of character who likes to make her own rules and doesn't take things too seriously. Just check how she customized the way she wears her jacket.

Wait, the ME finally did that? What was the entire Shepard Trilogy, particularly ME2 and ME3, then? Not for me. I am picky. Miranda and Kasumi were the very curvaceous from the front, but from the side their butts seemed to sag a bit, Miranda's being more well defined, but still a bit saggy. I get very picky about that region of my female character's body (yes, rather shallow of me). I want her to have nicely defined waist, hips, and a perky butt. Example of what shape from the side view I speak ofvs Miranda Lawson from the side
Kasumi Goto from the side <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> That human female with the Pathfinder is definitely curvaceous, on all counts.

Wait....Han Solo doesn't have to worry about the hazards of space? He's a character in Star Wars. He got cryonized, for pete's sake. Also, Firefly takes place in space and on various planets so I don't really see your point? (Granted, armor probably would have come in handy when Mal was trying to duel for Inara's honor)And every single planet they goes on won't kill them luckily, and they never goes into actual space. If they went on a planet that had a chlorine atmosphere or a depressurized ship for example wearing what they do, they would die.
From the vid, it's obvious the atmosphere is breathable. Any simple scan will tell them whether it's safe to breathe long before they get out of their vehicles. Also, they aren't in space, they're underground. A better question might be, why are the humans dressed for space walks if the atmosphere is breathable and they're underground? Maybe it has nothing to do with the location and is simply for Bioware to hide what they look like.

As I and others said multiple times before, if this is just her outfit while on this mission and later if/when she becomes a squadmate she gets a different field gear, that's fine. The issue people are having is if that is her permanent field attire, meaning she wears that on places we would know as hostile environments.

She is dressed like a normal person, the outfit wouldn't look too outrageous even today on earth. The fact that she is wearing a normal outfit instead of a burka is supposed to prove something? I was being somewhat facetious, but in the more hardcore circles the exposed midriff would be too sexual, depending on who you talk to because it sexualizes the character. It is silly regardless. Wandering around on the Citadel, or on a ship, a colony, or whatever, fine. But they were in some alien vault, full of unknown dangers (such as the killer robots that ended up jumping them. And with three other characters dressed in full armor. Seems this asari is either not too bright, has a death wish, or we're getting stupidly inappropriate outfits forced on us again.

To me it seems a bit more like jumping to conclusions based on one scene with very little context. Is it N7 Day yet????? Yeah and that one seen with Ash 's outfit in ME3 was just jumping to conclusions... To be fair, Ashley in ME3 did have outfits that were proper fully sealed suits/armor.
