So about the jet pack. Does this mean there'll be shards...IN SPACE? I wouldn't be surprised if there was something equivalent to that, like say data chips.

Am I the only one who's not really a fan of the pure white armour that Ryder's wearing, that seems to be the default look? It looked okay on FemRyder in the previous trailer, but the tech demo made it look far less flattering on BroRyder. I know it's an early pre-Alpha so they have time to refine it and that customising our armour has been around since ME2 so we can obviously change the colour, but as a default look for Ryder they might put on the cover art... it's kinda meh? The suit design itself looks fine, but a nagging voice in my head keeps asking "Does it come in black?" <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> LOL. For a moment, when Ryder turns his back to the camera and started walking forward, I was watching the butt straps. I had the thought "Is he wearing diapers?" So, my very first armour customization is to do something about that!!!!

One small thing that worries me about jetpacks and level design, though. If those levels are all like that, what if we miss? Just dead? One thing I liked about the entire ME universe was the fact that I rarely died from my stupidity, unless it was in a firefight.

Which spelled nothing but disaster. A lot of themes of ME was against uplift. That was the main conflict with TIM, for example. While Saren knew we were screwed too, but he tried to work around it. Then Javik's reveal added further to how deluded people like Liara were. Perhaps for the suckers that gotta live there, but as far as the narrative goes, uplift is the cat's pajamas. A galaxy with no rachni wars and krogan rebellions is not a galaxy I'd want. The Krogan are broken by design. An extreme race that requires an extreme solution to even work (i.e. the genophage). And who the devs only try to convince me to cure through emotional manipulation and "bro" shit. i.e. Wrex All it makes me do is look at the writers themselves, instead of feeling immersed in the setting. It's not believable world building. It's just set up to troll me and cause debates. A faux morality problem. When the real problem was creating something so destructive and nearly invincible in the first place. So, yeah.. I'd prefer a galaxy without them really. They never should have been uplifted in the first place. The rachni are different. They weren't uplifted. They're more advanced than everyone else. They're just susceptible to control.

You know, after all those other trailers, I'm pretty impressed with this one. It showed off some gameplay, some technology, a few characters/scenes, not bad, not sure why they didn't do this earlier....
It sure is taking awhile, but I think MEA could be all right.

People said they wanted to cure the genophage in the forums long before ME3, where Wrex was involved with it, and I don't think everyone likes him. I remember people that had Wreav and cured it, and they certainly didn't intend him to be Shepard's bro. I think the choice is more complex, and both paths have their pro and cons.

I'm pretty sure we've got some kind of tint-machine, the way it had been since ME2. DAI already got that working in FB. They must be using default white to differ from the Shep's iconic N7-Onyx.

Primarly-white armor looks unique in sea of dark space-marine armors every cover hero has. I say keep it, it stands out well. Agree. Let Ryder's armor be different.

Primarly-white armor looks unique in sea of dark space-marine armors every cover hero has. I say keep it, it stands out well. But the reason that dark armour tends to be ubiquitous in fiction (and in the real world) is because it's a far more practical colour scheme for someone to wear in combat, since it blends into the surroundings, whereas white makes you stand out like a sore thumb. Furthermore, fiction often has white reserved for generic faceless mooks (like Cerberus or Stormtroopers), who seem to have chosen that colour for the sole purpose of standing out as much as humanly possible, making it far easily for them to be spotted and taken out by the hero. Besides, would we have noticed the buttstraps as quickly if the pure white armour didn't highlight them?

I'd really like to know their reasoning for this "utility" design. Yeah, when you have a design on your hero that any enemy would immediately joke "gives [them] something to hold onto!", it's probably not a good aesthetic choice? Might be best to quietly remove that from the armour and ignore any further suggestions from Christian Grey.

Buttstraps, while distracting, don't worry me. Armor customization will take care of them if they really have no use. I'm pretty sure they are still working on the character models anyway. Buttstraps are one thing, but at least they are attached to the body. The weapon on the other hand is floating besides the thigh by itself. That is what is telling me the character modelisation isn't quite complete in this footage.
