Oh, that's Javik brother - Androvik. Sounds probably given all the other people who are related to MET characters.

Protheans look like this: Anything else you may have seen or heard is a lie. I thought they were a conquered race under the Protheans. Hrm... my lore is wrong then. I think he's just messing around but those are the Inusannon. They're from a cycle prior to the Protheans. I know some people take issue with the change because even Shepard's visions show images of those statues in relation to the Prothean extinction.

Well we only assumed that was the Protheans. It was already known there were races before the Protheans. The ME1 codex entry for the Prothean species shows one of those statues. Yes it does. To be honest, I can't see Javik being other than Javik. I'll take the "Inusannon" theory as canon since you can't argue history with a living Prothean.

I actually just assumed that the vision was referencing Ilos. Thus, we see things that are found on Ilos, like those statues. Had the vision been clearer maybe he would have gotten more. However, when Shepard meets Javik in From Ashes he's entirely unsurprised at his appearance. There's no sense of "my god, he doesn't look anything like the Protheans I saw in the beacon!" Nor did he have that response when watching the Prothean videos on Eden Prime (which we saw in flashback). I have to conclude that while we the players might have thought the Inusannon were the Protheans, Shepard was not similarly fooled. (That's my headcanon for what was likely a creative change.)

We're on the same page. He would've asked, "You're not what I remembered from the vision." and Javik would've said, "Stupid apeman, those you saw were the vanquished. We were not vanquished when the message went out. We knew the Reapers were involved in the cycles of extinction. We fought and yet, failed. By the way, in my cycle, we always greeted each other after cleansing our hands. You barbaric monkeys haven't evolved much." Yeah, I'm not politically correct, even on the human species.

I'm not politically correct anywhere. I mean, I'm not a total asshole but I don't tiptoe around PC terminology or whatever. Javik is amusing in the stuff he says but it makes sense given that Protheans considered themselves superior to everyone.

Because Bioware's storytelling is so freakin' deep. Your imagination has already had the art, music, voice, background, lore and history filled in. God bless Bioware old and new.

Bro, do you even lore? The statues represent the 5 Angara from 5 different planets that rediscovered spaceflight, after the Scourge wiped most of the technology.

There is a Volus ark and Elcor Ark. There might as well be a Prothean ark that laid dormant all this time and has Vigil 2.0 instead of SAM. Don't understimate EA's greed and a Prothean DLC could be in the cards.

I don't think I would be able to deal with the level of cheesiness that thing could imply, I think it would make me allergic to cheese in an instant. In truth after a certain Ark arriving soon as heavily implied in the game, I hope they are done with bringing stuff from the MW and focus on building more the lore and races in Andromeda.

There are some definite similarities with Protheans, but unless there are multiple races of Prothean, Protheans have four eyes and this statue only has two. I suspect the Jardaan are indeed a race from the Milky Way though, who left to escape the Reapers, as that would tie everything together

Those statues are all over Havarl and where the sages are. They are Angara.
