Oh there's no debating that. The ENTIRE PLOT of ME2 was almost completely redundant. I agree that ME2 SHOULD have been about actually preparing to fight the reapers, instead of having to rush that whole plot in ME3 and resorting to a deus ex machina device. However I was able to ignore the plot in ME2 BECAUSE of the focus on the characters. The characters are the most important aspect of any narrative for me. That's why I was so excited to interact with Vetra in ME:A. She alone is enough to keep me playing the game, but I found that the story in ME:A was good on it's own as well.

Agreed, ME2 was amazing because of the characters. Shame they couldn't be party members in 3, but at least most had good send offs. I'm really liking Andromeda's characters though. Vetra is my Tali in this new galaxy.

I do hope, that after the "heatsink pop" Vetra does act towards Scott as his LI (or at this point, as his life partner), not just a "crew member"
So I hope there is unique LI banter between Scott and Vetra after the final scene and other NPCs react to their relationship on the Tempest/Nexus ect.
