My grandma now has gangrene in her foot due to a lack of circulation because she's had a very sedentary life for the past 20 years. They won't amputate because they say it will kill her, So now she's dying on hospice. I couldn't sleep for the past couple of days and this is probably the reason why, it's past 3:20 AM now and I'm still up. Life is fucking brutal.
I'm sorry to hear that; years ago I lost my grandmother under terrible circumstances as well; I feel with you.Β But if they say she'll die anyway, can't the risk the amputation?Β Idk I don't understand but maybe it's because I don't want to. I wanted to amputate but when the Dr. spoke to our family, he said since she is going to be 90 it's absolutely something he wouldn't want to do. He also said that even if by some miracle she did survive, she would most likely end up with another infection and this whole scenario would continue. I still don't know what the best descion would be but I don't get to make them either, my aunt does. I'm just really stressed and confused right now.

Of course its hard to say something useful without knowing the exact health situation of your grandmother. In any case, I wish her well and hope she can fight the infection!

I'm sorry to hear that; years ago I lost my grandmother under terrible circumstances as well; I feel with you. But if they say she'll die anyway, can't the risk the amputation? I feel for you both, as I remember quite vividly the day my own grandmother died; it started when I heard her fall in the next room (she was half-crippled on one side of her bod due to medical malpractice relating to anesthesia) and so I rushed over there to pick her up (she would occasionally fall every now and then), followed by my mom calling the rescue to take her to the hospital for an examination. Next thing I know within an hour or two, my dad tells me she had died and i was sort of dumbfounded, here was someone that I had talked to yesterday like it was just another normal day and now next thing I know she's suddenly dead. Granted, it wasn't a complete surprise that it'd happen given the health issues she had for quite a while, but it goes to show how sudden someone's health can deteriorate and then die (same thing happened with my grandfather who died within a month after collapsing in the bathroom).

I wish a nephew of mine would develop some basic courtesy. He's been doing stuff; taking things to sell without asking around if it's needed (he sold off my mother's stuff without asking me), throwing stuff (that sent his dad off into the deep end because he threw away some very important documents) or keeping quiet about the leak in his bathroom that saw gallons of clean water going down the drain, flooding the bathroom and leaking into my room. I was preparing my own meal and was just about to pop it into the microwave oven when he galloped in, whipped out some food and popped it into the oven. I'm pretty mad at him for not stopping to ask; is it ok if I use this first? A simple act of courtesy. Idiot. He's 20 over years old and behaves like a kid of five. I don't know what's with him, his siblings are well behaved.

He was in the army for two years. He came back knowing how to take care of himself; cook (cook for himself). I think he's going far left regards his personality. His focus; me, me, me. *shrug* That's typical of some youths of this age; it's all me and I don't know you exist so why must I bother to say 'please' and 'thank you', be polite, be considerate, etc, etc. I'm ignoring him any way.

When you're given a dirty glass of water in a useless doc's place yesterday, have eaten cauliflower and lentil food for 2 days... you sleep at 2 AM, you feel so bad you keep twirling in your bed, you wake up at 4:30 AM to get rid of diarrhea and it takes over 15 minutes, you feel hungry now, you eat a cake with some pineapple juice, but it's too hot now... you usually don't keep your window open at nights cuz it has no lace and roaches might enter your room. This time you say to hell with it and open it... surprisingly unlike other nights it's a warm night and you don't feel any better opening it, but you're tired now and don't have the will to close the window... ravens start making noises and stray dogs barking... morning Azan is being broad-casted from afar... finally after another 15 minutes you fall asleep ... This situation could be even worse if I had a backache this night and a morning job...

I've been having a slight relapse today, no idea why. The last two days my guts made sounds like an old creaky ship in heavy sea, it was so loud at times I woke up from the sounds. I did not eat anything out of the ordinary and have been taking my medicine correctly. The only explanations I have is I have been lifting too hard or the meds slowly lose their effect. Not sure what it is, but it makes me feel a little uneasy. The fear of a total relapse is looming in the deep shadowy corners of my mind.

I think my boss is a jerk and collected some reasons to back up my claim: - He says A. I disagree and say B. He insinsts on A. His boss says B. He acts as if he said B from the beginning, is all proud of the fact that he and his boss are getting along so well and thinks no-one will notice his charade. - He thinks it's his business why people take sick leave (note: we can't have any sick days without a pyhsician's confirmation). If people choose not to tell him the reason (in my case because he's the biggest tattletale in existence and thrives on other people's drama), he makes up one and spreads the word, which proves my point of him being a tattletale. I decided to make up an illness for my next sick leave to see how many ppl ask me how my *insert made up latin word here* is going. - He despises people who can't use Microsoft Office as he's of the opinion that one "needs to go with time and learn these things in one's free time". At the same time, among many other things, I had to teach him how to switch from portrait to landscape format in MS Word and introduced him to the wondrous world of master slides in Powerpoint. - If he's not in the office, he calls me by saying "Hello my dear, this is your daily monitoring call to see if you're working!" in a joking manner and thinks I can't see straight through the fact that he's actually checking if I'm at my desk to work. - He's in my parents' age and calls me "darling". It's weird. That all being said, he's not a horrible person - it's just that he's very hard to work with, he's an energy parasite (a few days working with him drains you to the core) and he just has too many similarities with The Office's Season-1-Michael-Scott.
