Without spoilers what is everyone's opinion on Phantom Liberty? Is it any good or worth the price? I am going mainly by what people say here and the verified owner reviews @ GOG.com, since that's where I bought Cyberpunk 2077. So yeah did it improve gameplay? Is the story any good? I never finished Cyberpunk 2077 so I don't know, but does the expansion take place after the main story, before, or during? How does it run for you? I know the system requirements have been increased, I do meet them but my card while capable of some of the fancy graphic options is not strong enough to enable all of the options. I just don't want the expansion to burn a hole through my PC. Are there any game breaking bugs or glitches? It's worth the price. It's like 30 euro. It takes place during the game, it adds a couple of good thing and there's a couple of great moment here and there, and some good characters ...but I'm one of the rare who thinks the writing is a bit weak sauce and I'm not enjoying myself much and don't think I'm finishing it. Most people love it from what i've read. Also not loving Dogtown, it's a lot like Pacifica with a couple of nice views/building. But it got the vibe you don't wanna hang much in the place. Playing on Geforce now so I can't say how demanding it is. I didn't get game breaking bugs. One mini quest was glitched and I had to reload and not touch my phone to finish it. And my keybinds stopped working from time to time (that's annoying)

Price, I pre-order it, but the current sale price of 25 euro, it is worth every cent.
The overall game play got much better, your enemies and not least NCPD got more intelligent and the car based fighting quite well made.
The story is a story within - a spy inspired story, where friends and foos change, depending on whom you support. All main missions and not least the side gigs are very well made and a joy to play, where you laugh, cry. Remember to take the time to explore on foot, enjoy the amazing views, interact with shop keepers etc - you get some good laughs and not least scary encounters with NCP in the slum.
I would say enter the expansion mission in like 3/4 of main game played, be sure to have good updates, skills and weapons.
RTX 3070/iCore 7/2K monitor here, can play with DLSS 3.5 and ray tracing set to ultra, getting around 57-61 fps.
No game breaking bugs, minor glitches like shiny skin on NPC, those glitches I encountered disappeared after reload of previous saved game.

BTW, some people seem to think, there is a bug as the later Phantom Liberty missions do not start after you did 1st mission, well, I do not spoil anything by revealing below - but hides it anyway:
SAVE the president of NUSA. Else the whole Phantom Liberty will end, as player failed. Some people rush out to get cars, fight NCPD, play it as if, it was GTA V and forget the purpose of this important 2nd mission and blame, it is a bug... there should be an IQ check before entering Cyberpunk 2077

Yeah, innocent you think, you are - but you did something bad, for example harming bystanders by either collateral damage or hitting them with your vehicle - this will for sure get the attention of NCPD If them cops have a bad day, just by looking at them, can make them mad!

Installed just to see the new DLSS 3.5 feature (Ray Reconstruction). I have to switch back and forth between settings to notice the difference. I guess it looks better, which is definitely a plus. But I stop paying attention to the graphics pretty quick, so it doesn't really matter if I use Path Tracing+RR or no RT at all. Probably will try to play for a while with RR, then switch to no RT to see if and for how long I will feel the downgrade.

The quality of reflections more natural and detailed, at least what I experienced with my RTX3070. Guess on better RTX like 3090 or 4070+ with all max out, the differences smaller, but with update 2.0 you should have a boost in FPS compared to earlier versions of Cyberpunk 2077.

Well now that I think of it I may have run over some pedestrians in my rush to get the guy to the finish line. Still there were no cops around until I got near the finish line. Can't you see if you think about it V is the innocent victim .

Guess on better RTX like 3090 or 4070+ with all max out, the differences smaller, but with update 2.0 you should have a boost in FPS compared to earlier versions of Cyberpunk 2077. I play with maxed out settings on my 4090. I don't know if I have a FPS boost since the game is hitting my monitor refresh rate cap of 141 FPS most of the time (thanks FrameGen) and the benchmark is giving me around 120 FPS (Path Tracing enabled) just like before the update. I can't notice much of a difference between Psycho RT and no RT, unless I go looking specifically at reflections and shadows. And since I ignore these things in normal gameplay, I can play without RT and never caring. Path Tracing on the other hand - it's immediately obvious to me, even without looking at details at all. Changes the whole image vibe and is "holy shit", especially at night. But I still get used to it quick and stop paying attention while playing. It's great for just running around, taking in the sights. But in regular gameplay with sneaking, hacking, shooting - no difference with it On or Off. One big downside to RR are the NPC faces. It destroys too much detail on them. I thought I was imagining it at first, but it was rather obvious when changing settings. For me it's not worth the slightly better detail in the surroundings. If they fix it, I might turn it on again.

After reading details of phantom liberty doesn’t seem like it is going to do anything to make me want to re-engage with the game, so uninstalled and deleted saves for good measure. Hoping whatever cd red does next leaves me more satisfied.

Hoping whatever cd red does next leaves me more satisfied. That's unfortunate. I'm almost done with all the main missions and side gigs. For me, Phantom Liberty is probably the best expansion pack I've ever played. I still can't believe the amount of content that they give us for only $30.

I still can't believe the amount of content that they give us for only $30. I am currently in my second playthrough of the base game, since I never finished the game 3 years ago. I have not bought the expansion yet I just want to see if I enjoy the base game. So far I've been enjoying the game. But the one consistent criticism of the game I've always read about was how bad the ending or endings were. I never completed the game but now that I know V has days or weeks left to live I am getting the same feeling I got with Shepard in ME3. I don't think V is going to make it. Although Shepard's fate was not a deal breaker for me. So depending on how it's done if V has a bad end, but it's done in a good way then I might not mind.

For me, the cyberpunk genre is usually about "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." Ass kicking and dying as a legend. That kind of stuff. If that isn't your cup of tea, play the game and try to steer your own fate. Phantom Liberty also adds a new ending, but I'm mostly about the journey and not too much about the destination.

It's a shame to hear that this is happening with state of the art hardware and a game that was supposed to show the ultimate. I encountered El Captaine and the cop on the river dam at high noon with metallic skin shine. Clearly some reflections going wrong, when I changed the time to late afternoon, their skin looked perfect again.

I hope that's good for them. 3 million seems a bit low, but maybe expansions always sell a bit lower. So BG3 is a wonderful game and all but umm ... Cyberpunk is my game of the year. It's just been out for 3 years already xD I love this game a LOT. This has been an incredible few months for RPG fans with Starfield releasing also

Yeah, I'm enjoying the game as well and the story has me hooked. I just wonder if the game has multiple endings like The Witcher 3. I also wonder if the game is long like The Witcher 3 was. With the DLC the game technically has seven endings. Five "main" endings, one variation of one of the main endings, and one really short ending to give your character all pertinent choices. Playtime for the main story plus main side content is shorter than TW3, with all optional stuff it's quite a bit longer. And the filler content (blue Scanner Hustles) are much more varied than their counterparts in TW3, due to the contraints of TW3s setting. Combat gameplay is also much better in CP, so feels really nice just gunning down some goons and earning some eddies in the process. The info shards give nice (well, mostly not so nice) insights into the workings of Night City. And if you really want to go hardcore, there are almost 200 additional mini points of interest that aren't even marked on the map. A lot of them with shards attached.

acehilator Thanks for the reply. The reason why I asked how many endings there were and how long the game was. Was because the Witcher 3 was a long game with multiple endings and I only completed it once. Not because I did not like the game but because it was too long. I am planning on replaying Cyberpunk 2077 again once I purchase the expansion. As for the shards yeah Night City doesn't sound like a place I would to live in. But the city itself is very atmospheric.

talyn82 The way you reach the ending is structured much differently in CP2077 compared to TW3. You can make a manual save at a certain point, and experience several endings from there if you don't want to sink another 150 hours into the game for another playthrough. Which endings are "available" depends on what you did in your playthrough.
