My first game was also duck hunt for the NES, it was amazing. going as far back as the cable could reach, and bulls eying ducks. I never had the extension cords, so I couldn't go all the way across the room.
My second console was the N64, and I started playing some games on that. But the action games that were out at the time, I didn't find them all that compelling. The stuff for the PS2 though, that was my system.
After my PS2, I started migrating to PC gaming. And thats where I am today. PC gaming master race! ;-)
Edit: Ace Combat 4 is, to this day, the greatest game I've ever played. And all because of the story/music/game play combo. I still fire it up once in a while, and enjoy it very thoroughly.

I like learning about weird and interesting facts. And telling them to people. Like for example: I learned that you need 100 proof alcohol to set waffles on fire. Before anyone says I'm an arsonist, I was curious to see if I could carmelize a fruit topping on it. I had mixed a bunch of raspberries, blueberries, sliced strawberries and blackberries in ice wine simmered it together and drizzled it onto fresh waffles. Lit a match and...nothing. My brother came into the kitchen, got a bowl and cereal and on the way back enlightened me on that fun fact. I had to eat a bunch of soggy, alcohol soaked waffles for breakfast. Bleh. Hmm here is few weird ones for you.. 2 male flatworms do penis fencing to decide which one is the female, one that gets stabbed by the opponent first is the female. Male Seahorses have a pouch that females lay eggs in them and then when they hatch it looks a bit weird.. Longest word on the keyboard you can write in an horizontal line is ''typewriter'' Emperor Nero (ancient Rome) used to make candles out of Christians. Aeschylus a Greek author was killed by a tortoise that was dropped by an eagle. Stegosauruses are thought to have brain size of a walnut, and to add to their misery no one knows how they could have had sex (due to plating) That's all i can think of after 10 min of being awake, enjoy EDIT: Oh yeah i forgot to add that aristocracy in Georgian times used to have those fancy big-ass wigs that usually were infested with lice and they had special small gold hammers to kill them.

To the town of Agua Fria I rode one fine day. Hardly spoke to folks around me didn't have too much to say, no one dared to ask my business no one dared to make a slip I was a stranger there among them, and had a big iron on my hip . Big iron on my hip
It was early in the morning when I rode into the town. I came riding from the south side slowly lookin' all around. He's an outlaw loose and running came the whisper from each lip, and he's here to do some business with the big iron on my hip. Big iron on my hip
In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red. Many men had tried to take him and that many men were dead, he was vicious and a killer though a youth of twenty four, and the notches on his pistol numbered one and nineteen more. One and nineteen more
Now I started talking made it plain to folks around, was a Jersey pupper wouldn't be too long in town. I came here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe dead, and I said it didn't matter I was after Texas Red. After Texas Red
Wasn't long before the story was relayed to Texas Red, but the outlaw didn't worry men that tried before were dead . Twenty men had tried to take him twenty men had made a slip , twenty one would be the pupper with the big iron on his hip. Big iron on his hip
The morning passed so quickly it was time for us to meet . It was twenty past eleven when we walked out in the street , folks were watching from the windows every-body held their breath. They knew this brave young pupper was about to meet his death. About to meet his death
There was forty feet between us when we stopped to make our play, and the swiftness of the pupper is still talked about today. Texas Red had not cleared leather fore a bullet fairly ripped and the puppers aim was deadly with the big iron on my hip. Big iron on my hip
It was over in a moment and the folks had gathered round. There before them lay the body of the outlaw on the ground. Oh he might have went on living but he made one fatal slip, when he tried to match the pupper with the big iron on his hip. Big iron on his hip

I hate mine too. Mine didn't leave, but she was physically, mentally and emotionally abusive throughout my childhood. She confined me to my bedroom for four years when I was a teenager. I escaped. She's schizophrenic, which is sad for her, but she's also cruel and malicious, which has nothing to do with her mental illness. We haven't seen each other in 8 years and, unfortunately, that was the best thing that could have happened to me, as far as my mental health and wellness goes. I've spent these last few years trying not to hate her. Trump and his supporters, oddly enough, have given me fresh incentive to work on it. I just look at that whole thing and I think I don't want to be hateful.
I'm sorry to hear that and i can imagine that that was good for you not seeing her for 8 years and yes that was unfortunate. I don't want to be hateful to but ... i don't know what i feel for her ... and in your case i can imagine that you are hateful even if you say that you don't want to be. I look after my mother full time, she has a lot of problems. I hate that I have to clean up her accidents in the early hours of the morning(at least I hope they're accidents otherwise she's shitting on me). But I can't hate my mother for what her body makes her do (and mind) that she doesn't really have any control over. I might not like it but she did it for me when I was young and not in control of myself(some might argue I'm still not in control of myself but I do try my best).

I might not like it but she did it for me when I was young and not in control of myself(some might argue I'm still not in control of myself but I do try my best).Just to Just to be clear I don't have issues with my mother because of her illness. My issues are with the abuse. Not just throughout my childhood, but my adulthood too. I don't think her being abusive has anything to do with her illness. Andrew Solomon's Noonday Demon helped me a great deal in this regard. I did take care of my mother for several years, in my own home at one point (even though she had vandalized with bricks and spray paint the last home I lived in). She broke things, stole my car, stole my money, registered our address as a business, purposefully abandoned my indoor cat outside (thank god we found him a few days later), gaslit us to hell and hurled horrible abuse at us to the point where we could barely sleep. She refused to see a therapist, refused to speak to us with common courtesy (she felt it was her right to treat us like garbage), she would do nothing but pursue her fantasies. We were just not equipped to handle her, she was too ill AND she was SO mean and vindictive and uncooperative WE were getting ill (not to mention we were afraid she might kill us). We found a home for her because we just couldn't take it anymore. She refuses to speak to me because she thinks I'm trying to kill her. I do monitor her situation to make sure she doesn't fall into homelessness again. Luckily, her situation seems stable, for once. Ideally, it is the family that provides care, and you deserve respect for the care you provide your mother. My mother-in-law and my husband took care of his grandmother when she was ill with Alzheimer's, and that wasn't the easiest relationship either. So my husband was seasoned in this kind of thing, but my mother overwhelmed even him. It's unfortunate, but some cases are so extreme that the family can't cope. Sometimes, a problem is so much bigger than you are. There is a lot of guilt when that happens because you feel like a bad person, even if you've given everything you have and are. Sometimes I think about the damage she has caused me and my family (some of it permanent) and I hate her, but most of the time, I remember her suffering, and I feel sad for her. I decided to share my story because I resonated with what Patricia wrote and I thought it might help someone who might be reading and going through something similar.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation(didn't mean to belittle it in any way, I'm sorry if it came across as such), my mother has many problems none of which are as extreme as anything you describe. I'm probably lucky in a way with some of her limitations, although it doesn't always feel that way.

Something random about me
I deal very poorly with gossip. Recently, I found out there were a lot of people I've known for years (and that were friendly toward me) that turned out to have been all along talking shit behind my back and interfering with the natural course of my life. I found out I lost a lot of opportunities because they told lies about me and turned people against me, even before they had the chance to know who I am.
This makes me sad, because me and my family had lots of infighting for reasons I never understood well as a child and teenager. And now I know it was because people, both from the family and from the outside had a heavy hand on twisting the truth and breeding mistrust. I contemplated suicide many times because things came to a point when having to put up with an abusive household while having no support from others was impossible.
It's too late for me to fix my broken family, but I can avoid those toxic people, those emotional vampires from hurting me or the family I intend to form one day from interfering.
I like to think the best of people, but me and my family have been really damaged because of those people. Some people are just bad, rotten to the core. They deserve no forgiveness at all.

I love it! Thanks for these tidbits!

I'm sorry you had to deal with fallout of others' actions. It sounds similar to what happened to my mother when her sister in law spread gossip about her in the workplace. She never knew until a coworker took her aside and told her the truth because mom was nothing like the nasty image the coworker had been told. Rumors are never good sources to trust without finding out for yourself. Do you know why they did it? Were they jealous or upset or misunderstood something about you?
