4 humans, 2 elves (including current), 2 qunari and 1 dwarf. I prefer the human and qunari playthroughs.

Human. Most of that is due to constant replays.

Human & Elf. I played Quinari once and have never bothered with dwarf because I'm not a fan of the way dwarfs handle. To me it seems like they're sluggish and awkward. (I get that from switching to playing Varric on occasion)

DAO: City Elf is my first PT and Canon. Then I played Vengeful Human. Then I started a Resentful Dalish. Plans for a merciless mage of either elf or human. And two dwarves are also planned. Then I may play City Elf again to see it from that vantage point again. Maybe a murderous one. Tally: City Elf: 2 Dalish Elf: 1 Tower Elf: 0-1 Dwarf: 2 Human: 1-2 Elves Win that one. Can't be anything but a human in DA2 so moving on to DAI I was encouraged to be an elf mage my first PT by other fans. But the only Elf origin was Dalish, which at the time, I hated. And Mage was already my least preferred class. SO, bleeding heart Mage human it was (Cullen). Then I tried a Dalish Elf, finished main, no DLCs and eventually deleted her because she was a very wishy washy person. Then anti noble human rogue (Thom), which I adored. Ah, rogue, how I love thee. I have plans for a Dalish Female (Solas), Dalish Male (Cass), Qunari Female (Sera), human male (Dorian) two female dwarves (Jose and Sera.) Maybe another Dwarf for Harding, and then one more roll for Cullen. An elf mage so I can get an elven wedding. Tally: Humans: 3 Elves: 4 Dwarves: 2 Qunari: 1 Elves win again. But I'd like to say I totally prefer City Elves over Dalish Elves. I think DA4, that'll be the only sort of elves to have, to be honest.

So far, human. My first inquisitor was an elf, the second and third human, and the fourth a qunari. I'm still in the middle of playthroughs for inquisitors #3 and #4 though, and I wanted to start another with a dwarf but I run out of space, so I have to delete saves from Inq #1 or #2 (I hate to delete saves). Anyway, does it count as a +1 for the elves if I consider my female Lavellan to be my canon inquisitor? Because, you know, I do love DA elves.

So far I have 4 humans, sort of, nothing else. I say sort of because the first 2 are really the same character, and the latter 2 are also the same (different) character, more or less. I generally end up replaying a character I like rather than creating someone new, for a few reasons, although I switch some things up. For instance, my first character, Meredith, was a dual-rogue. Lots of fun. Meredith 2.0 however, was an archer. Same person though. Similarly, my Cullenmancer, Rowan (the one in my avatars), was a mage, partly for the added Cullen stuff and partly to try a mage. Next, I made Rowan a warrior (no mage dialogue unfortunately, but that just means I get to pick other options, and I got to talk to him about the Templar spec). So I have all classes. I actually really liked doing that, because it was interesting to RP the same character if they had a different life - in this case, not being a mage. For me, there are 2 main reasons why I usually play humans: 1. I don't have anything against playing other races, I just find humans a bit more relatable, which I find important in a protagonist. So basically the same reason I always end up playing women. I don't have anything against playing as men (except variety, but nothing inherent), I just find women more relatable. It works, so why mess with it? 2. I like replaying characters instead of making new ones. After all, who doesn't like to rewatch a great movie, or reread a great book? Nothing major has to change each time for me to be interested, although I do change some things. Another reason would be appearance, but it's not a main reason and it really depends on the game if it ends up being a reason at all. Face-wise, I like my characters to look pretty good, and I find that I usually end up liking how humans look more than others and/or have an easier time in the CC with them. Body-wise, since we usually can't pick, it's up in the air. I'm nowhere near as curvy as the ridiculous model-body Trevelyan has ( ), but Levellan doesn't really look healthy( ), Cadash looks like a child with boobs ( ) , I don't even remember Adaar well (why were there no other female qunari in the game?), but there, the face gets me. So there's something annoying about all of them in DA:I. Really hope we can finally have body-sliders in the next game to avoid all of that at once. For those curious, this is the closest character I have to my body-type:
Apparently I feel like writing a lot today That's good, though, I think; I haven't lately

So far, I have 12 human (11 ladies, 1 guy), 3 elves (2 ladies, 1 guy) and 1 lady dwarf. Haven't yet played as a Qunari.
I like playing as a lady Inquisitor, because Alix Wilton Regan's voice acting is awesome. But I had Sumalee Montano's voice once for my dwarf. For the two guys, Harry Hadden-Paton's voice.
The other thing is romance. Most of my ladies love Cullen wullen (Cully wully)! Bull, Solas, Blackwall and Sera got their share of love at least once. Josie and Cassandra were romanced by the fellas. Duh.

Let's see.....
4 elves, 3F 1M 3 humans, 2F 1M 2 qunari, 1F 1M 1 dwarf 1F
Not sold on the male dwarf (unless I can make him look like Renn ) but I might play one just so I can say I played all race/gender combos at least once.
I should have picked option 5 but I went with elf

As of right now, I've played two dwarves, two qunari, two humans and one elf. Another elf is up next to even things up.
Mind you, after that I'm vaguely intending to make a third dwarf so I can play the one specialization I'll still be missing, so it's likely that my favourite Dragon Age race will win in the long run.

You're not my supervisor.
I am currently in my 4th playthrough - this one as an elf - which was the last race I hadn't played. In other words, I am on one of each.
For my next...either human or qunari...probably qunari. I want to see Sera's reaction again!

Qunari! I don't even want to count the times I played them, it's just not healthy.
I also have, I think, 2 human playthroughs, they were ok, but nowhere as exciting as my horned adventures.
Started as a dwarf/elf once, but couldn't see it through. But I'm gonna definitely give them a chance again!
