I stopped watching BSG when half the fleet turned out to be cylons all along. Ridiculous.

So r/freefolk, the reddit group behind the S8 remake petition, also apparently led a campaign to raise money for a charity that Emilia Clarke was championing (I guess as recompense for the poor handling her character got on the show). She thanks them here. So that's nice.

Just saw the battle for Winterfell...
YIKES.
Will probably finish watching the whole thing next week. I was thinking on making an essay of all the stupid things in this tv show when I'm done, but I think it's gonna be a wall text taller than the Wall itself.

Emilia's pretty entertaining: Her and Gal Gadot, the things that attract me to them mostly are their goofy, fun loving personalities and their kindness and gratitude. From what I know of them, there is no typical "I'm a star" attitude.

Is it wrong to say that I am glad that I didn’t watch season 8 and that by reading up on it in this thread, I was spared lots of cringe worthy weeks?

I have never been to NY buts its funny every time I see footage I am like oh that's right I killed all those people in The Division there, or I have a memory of a particularly tough fight etc <iframe width="23.96" height="5.14000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_2344924" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 5.14px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="5.14000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_47589831" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 5.14px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="5.14000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_92954824" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 196px; width: 23.96px; height: 5.14px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="5.14000000000001" id="MoatPxIOPT0_15652468" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: 196px; width: 23.96px; height: 5.14px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> .

Which is kinda Special in this age of milking copy-paste stories, redo-bonanzas, cliff-hanger festivals and cramming more heroes into stories than a Comic book could ever hold. Season 8 has its Moments. The worst was imo the battle of Winterfell. There is only so much stupid shit you can put on Display before you make the audience feel shitted and mocked. Once you've been through that it doesn't really get any worse

But, from what I have heard and read about it on this thread, it is even worse then season 7 (and personally, I don't mind season 7. It is not the best, but still... Plus I have it on DVD).

So I'm on Season 3 so far, and I can't say I'm as fond of Tyrion as everyone else seems to be. He just seems like kind of a sucker, especially in his interactions with Shae. He's supposed to be a savvy guy, but it seems like hype. Maybe I'll like him later on, idk. Dunno if you'll ever like him, but it's not a bad interpretation. Tyrion has a bad habit of getting what is true and what he wants to be true mixed up in his mind, and he's just clever enough to get away with this for a long time. It does eventually stop working for him, though.

Finished Season 3. I liked this one a lot better than 1 and 2. In the show so far I like(d) Jaime (I know his character arc goes to shit later based on what I've read), Brienne, Davos, The Hound, and Robb too, though he definitely wasn't fit for what he was doing. He was too much like his father in some ways, but he was sympathetic and I was sad to see him go. Melisandre and the Tyrells seem interesting, but I need to see more of them.
Cersei and Tywin have their moments, but they have some certain psychological flaws that make them off-putting to me.
Daenerys' plot line is probably the worst part of this show imo. It's so rushed and confusing. I'm also not a fan of her. Jon just seems like kind of a dope, and Arya is a bit annoying, but I don't mind her too much. Bran's story is very boring so far. My least favorites out of the major players are probably Joffrey, Daenerys, and Littlefinger. Interesting. It did take me a while to warm up to Jon. Hell it took me a while to warm up to Daenarys too but I think Jon really hit his stride in season 4 and...ironically enough...season 5.

Interesting. It did take me a while to warm up to Jon. Hell it took me a while to warm up to Daenarys too but I think Jon really hit his stride in season 4 and...ironically enough...season 5. I'm actually almost done with Season 4 already (I know, I know. I had the entire day off yesterday and I binged).
I'm finding Jon, Arya, and Tyrion to be a lot more enjoyable in this season. Let's see if it lasts.
I do tend to find it fascinating to see what people's opinions are in situations such as these. Newbies who essentially come to these shows or things after they ended, especially when such an ending is 'controversial'...new perspectives can always be fascinating to read since you probably do not have as much bias or expectations as the rest of it does. And yeah season 4 was probably Peak Tyrion. As far as Arya is concerned I loved her almost from the beginning but the next....oh probably 2 seasons didn't really like what they did with her arc. It sorted itself out though, imo.

Not surprise. Some people never considered the consequences, just the height of the surging wave they're paddling in.
