She looks much better indeed. Still too tall. I don't mind tall women at all, they don't intimidate me in the slightest. Heck, I wish Qunari women existed. I'm only intimated if they're STRONGER than me, but thats basically nigh impossible. Gwendoline Christie really surprised me though, its amazing how good she looks right now, compared to her appearance in GOT. Nearly as much of a chameleon as Christian Bale. She does clean up nicely: And she's a very good actress too.

Can anyone remind me where Melisandre is? And what about ghost?
Also, I think Qyburn went behind Cersei's back when hiring Bronn. She had a perfect opportunity to kill Jaime before he left and she didn't.
It seemed like it hasn't quite dawned on Jon yet that he bonked his aunt. I hope they will show us that reaction. Is he going to be hella awkward around her now?

this was probably both the most expensive and the most boring intro of all seasons.

Well I wonder how Dany will take the latest news or who will convince her she's the runner up to Jon. I'm fairly certain she doesn't come out of it all alive. Bron will double cross Cersie, no question about it. He won't kill Jamie. I read that George RR Martin said that he had no intentions of putting in a Jon/Danny romance in the books, so there may be some friction there...or, WITH the romance she may look at it as a sign that they should rule together?? I don't think it'll matter though, I think Jon will end up sitting on the Night Kings throne. There has to be some connection to how the Night King was first created by having that dagger/shard put in his chest and the wound Jon took to his heart. I figure, to save Westeros Jon will have to willingly accept the shard into his own chest. Yeah, I don't think Bronn will try to kill Jaimie or Tyrion either, He'd consider it briefly, but I doubt he'd go through with it. I do think Qyburn (sp?) is up to something though. Last season he kept that White Walker hand...I'm thinking he's using it to someway create some kind of potion or something to infect the troops Cersi just acquired and make them as hard to kill as the Mountain...Or Cersi may be just spiteful enough to infect herself with something like that. It was good to See Tormund and Edd made it through last season And that new beginning was kind of neat, maby a bit too CGI, but it was neat they showed the breach in the Wall and the castle interiors.

What a dull episode. The CGI was bad and the episode as a whole was causing me to get bored fairly often.

Seeing my Queen (Cersei), consummate her relationship with my future King (Euron) was a series highlight for me.

It will pick up now and things will get interesting. If I wanted to see where things stood last season, I would just rewatch the last season. That's not all of it anyway, the scenes that were expected lacked any decent impact, it just felt like quality had gone down more. They wasted precious time on poorly done CG dragon scenes with bad green screen. It was the most underwhelming episode of the show I remember seeing. If the quality was this level back in season one, I doubt the show would've lasted very long.

Jon Snow and Daenerys frolicking with the dragons kind of took me out of it. I had to watch the Battle of the Bastards afterwards to re-hype myself. Hopefully it picks up fast.

Yes, it didn't really feel like it served a real purpose. They don't have a lot of time to begin with and they decide to quite a lot of it on scenes like this. Not only that, but it wasn't executed well, it seemed like they again were saving the CGI budget for the battle they have planned. If you plan to do a scene that mostly relies on the visuals, you better nail those visuals. The reunions in the episode weren't horrible, but they could've been so much better. Some of the things that were left as cliffhangers at the end of last season weren't really used to their full effect/executed well over all either. The episode as a whole, didn't really leave me excited to how any specific thing unfolds in the future episodes. It is quite a shame as everyone had waited for this quite awhile. Less dragons, less King's Landing and more focus on all the little connections between the multiple characters would be nice. The romance between Jon and Dany doesn't really feel that good either. It just doesn't have the weight to carry the episodes or scenes, probably because it is such a cliche. The two characters could've gone more interesting directions if they weren't paired up.

Of course does the Dany and Jon romance scenes serve a purpose, hamfisted as it may have been, those scenes make the revelation about Jons heritage even harder. Funs over, Jon.

More hot sex between Jon and Dany. Need to get that heir in her belly Daenerys told Jon last season that her dragons would be the only children she ever had. Plus when she lost Khal Drogo's child due to Mirri Maz Duur the witch's blood magic, it was implied that she might be barren. That's still not absolutely, definitely saying that there is no way she could get pregnant.

If Daenerys really is barren -- I agree the case isn't proven -- she isn't a great choice for the throne. It just guarantees another goddamn succession struggle in a few decades.

I think the worst was when Jon almost fell off when the dragon buzzed by Winterfell past Tyrion, Varys and ...who was that? Davos, I think? Damn...now I'm gonna have to check it out... Anyway...it was like the snow in the background was too bright or something compared to the lighting on the dragons but the dragons looked good though. That look on Drogon's face when Jon was kissing Dany was great, and when the dragon's were sniffing Jon, that was well done too.

I found the episode boring, the dragons are adorable but I wasn't impressed with the flight scene. I'm also really disappointed that it's been so long since we've last seen Ghost and I'm tired of him being cut out.
Emilia is absolutely beautiful but I'm on Sansa's side all the way "what do dragons eat?" "Whatever they want", yeahhhh fuck off Dany.

I'm thinking ghost will turn up with Nymeria and her pack of wild wolves TBH...and I have to admit, "whatever they want" was my answer too, even before Dany said it. Now that we've been updated to where all the characters are, the show will pick up, I have no doubt of that because there aren't too many more episodes.

I knew the Tarly situation would come back and bite Daenerys in the ass. I may be a follower of hers but it doesn't mean I agree with everything she does. She should have had Randall executed by beheading, typical of those of noble birth and had Dickon rethink his life's choices in a prison cell. Execution by dragon is a shit move her father would have done if he had dragons.
Now if this tense situation goes any further, Jon is going to be caught in the middle with his best friend and Daenerys.
