@dustyelf: So we both agree this film was not as.. polished as Nolan's films usually are?

Decided to see it. Better off seeing Wonder Woman again, the show times were close at my theater. Give it a 5/10. Hard to follow the plot at first and too much computer CGI crap. Not really a fan of CGI.

Boy oh boy. This could be the return of Bruce Willis. Haven't seen him in anything really good since RED in 2010. I loved the original with Charles Bronson. This one looks just as good.

$2 BILLION FOR MARVEL CONFIRMED Oh the unwanted irony of the pic, Thanos in the center. Which is hilarious considering how fucking insignificant he is in the movies, sitting on the throne all day every day, doing absolutely nothing.

Am I the only one who thinks The Emoji Movie looks like a muuucchhhh worse product placement version of Inside Out??? Like... I have no intentions of seeing the movie, but from what ive seen it looks like its tried to copy Inside Out, just with scary emojis for characters, worse writing and no deep meaning, without the beauty and perfection that was Inside Out, and basically the entire movie will be product placement Thats the way it LOOKS, but if anyone has any kids, id like to know if im right or not

Saw this at the local theatre tonight.
Even without cell phones, it holds up well! Unfortunately, it's not the extended/director's cut.

Always loved films with Christopher Lee. He was a very charismatic man with a great screen presence.
Here's an old cult classic, The one and ONLY, Wickerman (1973). Beware of imitations. BTW the second vid is NSFW.

Watched this tonight, I had watched lot of the interviews from the raw files prior to this and heard bunch of things, but still felt like seeing the whole thing. It was quite impactful, I found myself angered few times while watching it. I will have to try and get as many people to watch this, especially women who identify as feminists.

Re-watched The Pacific, the HBO Miniseries.
I'm not especially interested in world war II in general, in fact there is only three WWII movies I like but I have to say this is one of the best (mini-) series ever, no matter the genre. Despite it being a US show the American glorified superheroes bullshit has been kept at a minimum, the characters are likable and well fleshed out, the weapons and effects are excellent, the locations are fitting leave nothing to be desired, the soundtrack is good, the sub-plots are good too. Heck, maybe its just me but in the end I felt the wear and tear of that war myself, just like the characters, just from watching the series. Its definitely leagues better than Saving Private Ryan (which isn't a good movie anyway), better than Band of Brothers and Thin Red Line.

Found this interesting Tarantino interview. If only, it would be absolutely bloody fantastic in terms of super cool space awesomeness. Of course it would never happen as the franchise owners don't have the balls or sense to let a real (talented) movie director make one. It's a real shame as you can tell that Tarantino really "gets"and loves Star Trek and has an instinctive understanding of it. It makes such a big difference when a director has an intimate knowledge of the subject and doesn't have to have things explained to them. I agree with him 100% about the Star Trek (JJVerse) films, Khan (Into Darkness) in particular. Loved the "crappy lawyer loophole" description of the timeline changes.

Pretty good movie, more than a bit cliche but I wasn't expecting to be blown away. Some of the digital effects looked kinda cheesy. Also, there is one thing left a little too ambiguous. It could be kinda explained, but the one line of dialogue wan't sufficient IMHO. I was pleasantly surprised by the young actors, Sophia Lillis deserves an extra mark as Beverly Marsh. Their juvenile banter was actually pretty amusing, & the setting was a damn good version of 1989 Maine 7.5/10

Come tomorrow morning, I'll be heading to the theater to see Blade Runner 2049. Just got done listening to the soundtrack, awesome. I just saw it. 9/10 Before you wonder, YES I am a fanatic for the original. (It is in my top 3 all-time films) Yes, I went into the theater with a proverbial "baseball bat", ready to bash any references or homages to the original or action/sci-fi cliches. Yes I am a fan of Villeneuve As to the question if this film is as good as the critics say, could it be that this flick is a worthy successor to the 1982 classic future-noir?

Saw this last night. I really enjoyed it, 8/10, not sure if I agree with some saying that the first one was better. I enjoyed both thoroughly, there are lot more interesting characters in second one, sadly some of them are left unused.
