I think you're overestimating the ability of most governments to make wise/benevolent spending decisions. They'd probably use it to invade a third world country or something. Well at least it's more fun than seeing all the obese people around! Something tells me that you don't actually see that many obese people around. Or people in general.

Aliens vs Predator was way better than it's rated R sequel.
People just assumed that throwing in gore and more cursing that the next film would magically get better but it didn't; the whole thing came across as forced. That and I couldn't stand the stupid teen drama subplot; I was actually silently cheering when the angst-filled teen's love interest was killed.
Which that actually brings another point to mind. Even as a teenager myself, I detested hollywood teen drama. The idea that these bratty little twits somehow knew more than the older people, who've all been around at least twice as long as they have, and that such a rebellious nature should be applauded as heroic in those films, shows, comics, etc. annoyed me to no end. The worst were the teenage superheroes. Teen Titans might have been popular with my age group when it came out, but man I couldn't stand them. Sorry, Batman, Superman, and even Aquaman were more interesting that the likes of Auqualad, Raven, and Kid Flash; especially when the vast majority of their episodes dealt with teenage crushes, and being petulant because no one takes them as seriously as the likes of Batman or Superman.

Preach! I'd go even further and say I couldn't stand kid media that made the 'power of friendship' trump everything. I was a kid myself and it still didn't make sense, it was always so contrived. Just let kids learn that sometimes adults do have a better idea of how a situation should be handled.

Just let kids learn that sometimes adults do have a better idea of how a situation should be handled. Yeah, all those after school specials about how "friendship was the greatest power of all" caused eye rolls in my preadolescent/tween/teenage self as well. "Working as a team" episodes I could tolerate, to an extent, but those episodes where hugging and friendship was the magical solution to the problem were all lousy. It was especially funny when it was in a superhero themed show and the next episode literally had the characters solving problems with their actual super powers instead of just holding hands and singing kumbaya. EDIT: And it would have been nice to see a show or film that demonstrated that father, in fact, knows best. That our plucky teen protagonist was just being an idiot and should actually listen to advice from their elders.

I liked Captain Marvel, Goose steals the movie though. It was a solid 8/10. Compared to other Marvel origin movies it's quite good. No it's a 6/10 movie at best. Fantastic Four (1) and G.I.Joe movies are far better than Captain Marvel.

Careers are overrated and shouldn't be seen as your main source of happiness. Many jobs are not that fulfilling and enjoyable. Also with so many people competing for those jobs that are enjoyable, there is a good chance you are not going to be among ones who get one. Trying to climb the corporate ladder is overrated.

I couldn't agree with you more, actually...but then I'm the kind of person who prefers small business over corporations, for the most part. A career at a corporation basically just leaves you with trying to keep the shareholders happy and eventually your job performance and overall employee satisfaction can take a hit. Corporations are all about the bottom line, it isn't often that they focus on product quality or workplace environment.

Nearly all Sci-Fi space ship are utterly idiotic.
Given the physics in space ships for all kinds of duties would look VASTLY different than what we see in media, and it pisses me off.

Unpopular opinion: the only 2 Alien species that were done well in cinema are: Giger's Xenomorph and especially the gene splicer/modifier from Annihilation.
All the other Aliens depicted in media are severely unimaginative. I find it pretty sad that the word ''Alien'' means so little for directors and screenwriters, it is an opportunity to go absolutely crazy on the design, yet oftentimes the creatures look and behave like they came from earth, not having experienced a completely different version of evolution at a very distant, ''alien'' place. Even their agendas are mostly very primitive and man-like.
