Gold Solo Chronicles - Salarian Operator on Sandstorm Kett (Hack and Retrieval)

Kandros here with another video update from our APEX mission strike teams. Viridin, our Salarian Operator, asked our Krogan Gladiator when she came back from Firebase Sandstorm, if she had seen her Scorpion pistol in Building 10. The Gladiator said no, and despite my best efforts to dissuade him, Viridin insisted on returning to Sandstorm alone to get his STG heavy pistol.
Without his Scorpion pistol, I gave our Operator a recently acquired Rozerad Siphon. "This might be good. Lots of bullets. Heals me," he thought as he packed the Rozerad and his beloved Venom Siphon.
I wished him luck as he boarded the shuttle to Sandstorm. "What could go wrong?" he told me, explaining how our Krogan Gladiator just cleared Sandstorm just days ago.
How wrong was he. He was on the Firebase no more than an hour when yet another garrison of Kett stormed the base. I suspect there might be a Kett mole on the Nexus, alerting the Archon of our troop movements.
In face of overwhelming odds, our Salarian Operator stood tall in the Wave 3 rooftop hack and was speedy in the Wave 6 Retrieval objectives. We especially congratulate him on the fact that he never went down during the mission, using only two First Aid Packs. When I asked him for the Rozerad Siphon back, he waved his hand and said, "No need. I’ll keep it."

I wanted to role play with the Venom shotgun and a Salarian character. Even though it doesn’t reach the heights of the ME3 Venom, it’s still a good gun for crowd control, ammo priming, and long-range aerial bombardment. I used incendiary ammo for taking care of the Fiend and for fire explosions. A cyclonic mod 3 for survivability, though I probably could have used a power efficiency mod for more frequent casts of overload and shield boost.
The Wave 3 hack was hairy but much more manageable than the double hack I had with the Juggernaut. It helped that it was on the rooftop, where there was only one way for the enemies to come in. Still, all those Wraiths and the camping Ascendant made this Salarian stress a little bit.
