Kandros here to tell you that I stay far, far away from marital spats. The Human Commando was angry that her husband, the Human Guardian, did not tell her where he was going following their argument. She thought he was going to the mess hall to eat some ice cream, not go to Firebase Sandstorm where Outlaws were hell bent on eliminating him. "Next time you go off galloping around the galaxy, I'm coming with you!" she roared at the Guardian. "Where are you going, dear?" he asked her. "Where do you think? You can't have all the fun on Sandstorm!" Off she went to our favorite Firebase in Andromeda. She even alerted the Kett the exact time that she would be there. They landed seconds after she arrived at Sandstorm. They thought that the Commando would be easy pickings, but they soon realized they were absolutely no match for her Singularity, Turbocharge and Warp powers. If that didn't destroy them, her P.A.W X and Piranha Siphon I did, shredding their shields, decimating their armor, and ripping through their health. Nothing stood in the way of the Commando's fury. Gameplay notes and Build link: bit.ly/2AzfXVtI specced into a duration and expanding singularity in order to lock down a chokepoint. Shredding shields with either the Piranha or the P.A.W., you can see multiple enemies get captured in the ever-growing singularity ball. Warp and Turbocharge made quick work of the Fiend using the Piranha. Lots of fun build possibilities, including using Dump Heat to mow down anything inside the Singularity Ball or Double Warp to detonate up to four enemies within the 11.2 seconds of a duration-specced Singularity. More build thoughts in this thread. Retrieval and Devices objectives made for a relatively quick run. Only trouble spot was the first Devices objective where the Ascendant was camping. Could have demonstrated more patience in letting them come to me before capping the initial device.

Great stuff! I checked the commando/guardian build thread for your thoughts, but I couldn't find any of your comments on the commando... In any case, did you ever consider Exploding Singularity over Expanding? Or did you write it off completely? I take it only because it reminds me of ME3 singularity, even though the explosion doesn't detonate combos. Expanding Singularity also seems like a reasonable choice (especially for locking down choke points). Nevertheless, I'm interested in hearing more discussion on the merits of either evolution.

I haven't tried the Exploding Singularity option on the Commando. I was playing around in TheThirdRace's builder, and I think the Human Adepts are better served using that option due to their Offensive Biotics passive tree (Exposure and Biotic Expert) and Active Barrier giving shields back to enemies killed by biotic powers.
Though not as powerful, one could use a Duration-specced along with Double Warp to get four biotic explosions followed by the Exploding Singularity. You would need to equip some Power Efficiency mods to get two double warps out before the singularity explodes.

With Structural Ergonomics you can cast two Warp (with the recharge speed evolution) without having to take the duration evolution for Singularity. You only have about a second a most for the second warp. I haven't tried it without Structural Ergonomics. Thanks for your thoughts!

Exploding Singularity is great for CC. Did solo run with her after we talked and it helped a lot during hack wave. Throw it on group of shielded mooks, detonate with Warp to strip their shields, end it and finish off survivers while they kissing flor.
