Kandros here with a bonus video for you. Our Human Artificer was recently kidnapped by the Kett, and this made our Human Juggernaut very, very angry. He discovered their plans to interrogate her at Firebase Aqua, and commandeered the Tempest to get there first. There, he waited at the LZ for the Kett to arrive. And arrive they did for eleven waves! Until the video from his helmet cam came in, all I could hear were biotic explosions going off every few seconds. "The Juggernaut can’t make biotic explosions all by himself," I thought to myself. Then I remembered that along with the Tempest, he took out the newly created P.A.W. Concussive from the armory lab. Suffice it to say, the Kett didn’t stand a chance to the Juggernaut’s fury! He was able to rescue the Artificer from the Kett’s clutches in under 30 minutes. The Pathfinder barely noticed that her ship was missing when they got back to the Nexus. I decided not to log the theft of Andromeda Initiative property in his official record. Gameplay notes and build link: bit.ly/2AmywMMThe Gold APEX Mission this week features 11 waves and two mission modifiers Go For The Eyes (+200% weak point damage and -50% weapon damage) and Empty Resupply. I thought it would be fun to run my newly acquired P.A.W. Concussive with the Juggernaut and tank the landing zone. I equipped him with and Assault Rifle Amp IV and the Targeting VI III to increase weak point damage and lessen the -50% weapon damage mission modifier nerf. Objectives are not random on this mission: Retrieval, Boss, and Devices. The only difficult part came on the Devices objective, when a Fiend and Ascendant were near the second device. I made extraction a little more difficult than it should be by getting to the LZ with too much time to spare. Overall, this was a very easy mission given I was blowing things up so quickly with the P.A.W. If you don’t have that variant, you can easily get this done with the Shadow Concussive and an Equalizer Siphon for close range combat.

This was a good mission. I also used PAW (VI) but with Cryo II, and Artificer lvl 18 XX as char. Invasion is really OP...

Nice! This was a good mission. I also used PAW (VI) but with Cryo II, and Artificer lvl 18 XX as char. Invasion is really OP... Your chained Snap Freeze cryo explosions must have been nice to see! Did you recall the max number of enemies that you were able to chain together?

Did you recall the max number of enemies that you were able to chain together? It was VERY hectic I tell you! So umm, I think I remember 3 to 5 at least. Glass breaking everywhere!

This mission is almost identical to the first 11 Wave APEX gold mission way back in June ( vid and discussion). The differences are that there were several patches and balance changes. I re-watched a couple of the solo videos from that mission and could see the following differences in the game. Back then: - No Platinum. Platinum came out a few days/weeks later. - Fewer solo vids with non-Stealth characters - No variant weapons - Fewer characters (i.e. no Juggernaut) - fire barrels did more damage - targets had 4 enemies to take down instead of 3 - Devices had an overall time limit as opposed to a time limit per device - solos were an hour long affair - cobras were more powerful - 25% credit and XP payout Today: - Platinum exists. - Many more vids of solos with non-Stealth characters - variant weapons make it easier to damage nearby enemies (Concussive) or regain health (Siphon) - more characters, including tanky ones like the Juggernaut - fire barrels have been nerfed - targets objective is now Boss and features three targets - Devices have a short time limit and are more difficult since you can’t as easily kite the enemies and return - soloing is much faster - cobras have been nerfed - 35% credit and XP payout Of course there have been more changes, but those are the ones evident in this particular mission. Changes to Hacks and a Devices makes things more difficult (Upload was and continues to be hard), but weapon variants opened up the gameplay a lot (less of a need to camp and hide all the time). Overall (for me), the game is better today than it was back in June. Crashes still exist with this mission today when playing with teammates (happened once to me after I completed the solo). Fortunately, I didn't have any crashes when the double Fiends were on the field. I didn't let them get close enough to swipe at me.

Nicely done! Gives me a reason to check out the PAW concussive. I agree with you, the game is better to play than it was in June (although I don't usually play much Plat, mostly Gold).
I also experienced 2 crashes with this particular mission (with teammates).

Nicely done! Gives me a reason to check out the PAW concussive. I agree with you, the game is better to play than it was in June (although I don't usually play much Plat, mostly Gold). I also experienced 2 crashes with this particular mission (with teammates). I did the mission with the Human Artificer in 37 minutes. Snap Freeze evolution of Cryo Beam is OP! Will be posting video of that shortly. Had to be more careful since the Artificer can't become invulnerable and her Defense Drone gives back such measly shields on a long cooldown. Swapped out the P.A.W. with the Rozerad Siphon (with the Pistol Targeting System mod) and the Sweeper with the Equalizer Siphon. Does the +200% weapon weak point bonus modifier work with Backlash? If so, the Human Guardian might make for a fun solo run too.
