A remaster with new ending, yes. Otherwise no. Sequel is out of question with current ending too.A remaster with new endings after me3 and a continuation with new problems would be nice. Like 2 or 3 trilogies, new kind of enemy for each. And they can be connected, for example Leviathan as an enemy in the second trilogy would make a prefect sense. As for MEA, I actually liked this game enough to want at least a sequel. No it isn't if you have the best ending (where shepard wakes up after blowing the reapers to hell) as the canon ending. Yeah, but ME3 sequel would be a continuation of the prev game so it's impossible to continue the story if someone is always chosing one of the indoctrinated endings and believes it's the real ending.

What I would like to see first is ME Trilogy on Switch. Having it on the go would be simply awesome. I don't have a switch, but I have had a Nintendo console in the past. I like to see the trilogy, a remastered trilogy be released for all platforms, including the switch. I know ME3 was released for Nintendo. Don't know how well it sold. If it didn't, would EA want to have a remaster for the Switch? The other question I would ask is, how hard would it be to port, someone correct me if that's the wrong word to use, the trilogy to the Switch? A remaster with new ending, yes. Otherwise no. It doesn't have to be a new ending. Just remove everything from the time Shepard passes out. It shows the crucible firing its bag of goodies all over the galaxy destroying the reapers after the arms of the Citadel are fully opened. I like a sequel, but that's more to know who the benefactor is and to know who would kill Jein Garson

If it didn't, would EA want to have a remaster for the Switch? The other question I would ask is, how hard would it be to port, someone correct me if that's the wrong word to use, the trilogy to the Switch? Not hard at all. Switch is more powerful than xbox360/ps3, less powerful than xbox one/ps4 but it does well with, for example, Unreal Engine. Just look at how easy it was to port Skyrim and the newest Doom As for ME3 for Wii U, they floped hard because they wanted to sell it for the full price. At the same time the other platforms got the whole trilogy for similar price. Too much greed is too much. A remaster with new ending, yes. Otherwise no. It doesn't have to be a new ending. Just remove everything from the time Shepard passes out. It shows the crucible firing its bag of goodies all over the galaxy destroying the reapers after the arms of the Citadel are fully opened. But it would mean we'd need to deal with the reapers once again, right? And I'm not sure if it's possible to do so. Trilogy was about them. I like a sequel, but that's more to know who the benefactor is and to know who would kill Jein Garson Plus some loose ends, consequences of the choices we've made and, of course, saving the mama-Ryder. I also really want to explore Merydian. It's a shame we weren't allowed to do it after the end...

Getting a remaster to the ME Trilogy would be nice. Getting an actual ME3 sequel would be even better. Any sort of narrative integrity is gone. MEA was a failure so they can always go back to the source material and the Milky Way and expand from there. A remaster with new ending, yes. Otherwise no. Sequel is out of question with current ending too. A remaster with new endings after me3 and a continuation with new problems would be nice. Like 2 or 3 trilogies, new kind of enemy for each. And they can be connected, for example Leviathan as an enemy in the second trilogy would make a prefect sense. As for MEA, I actually liked this game enough to want at least a sequel. I'd support a new ending for sure. But as bad as the ME3 ending debacle was, I wouldn't mind a retcon to the endings at all where they make a canon choice (for example high EMS destroy) and run with it. I said it in another thread but if we get another game near ME2's caliber, I couldn't care less how contrived it is for it to get there. And I'm not painting ME2 as a perfect game, but it was still great and worth looking at as inspiration for another installation.

Same as destroy except catalyst has been taken out of the game Isn't that basically how MEHEM handled it? One of the many things that modders did better than Bioware...

Isn't that basically how MEHEM handled it One thing is Shepard won't be on the Normandy to put up Anderson's nameplate. Though that could happen in ME4, once Shepard gets back on the ship after recovering from his/her injuries.

Well if you fail to choose, the Catalyst bascially has the reapers kill everyone. Maybe the reapers want to die? Look at it this way. Shepard survives in the destroy ending with max assets. (regardless whether it's IT or not) Any ending where shepard does not survive is a loss. Bioderp probably didn't want anyone to be too upset so gave everyone an ending resulting in the shitstorm that is ME3s ending, even though destroying the reapers is the goal of the game. Not making friends with them (after they butchered trillions of sentient beings) and ending up as a modern day equivelent of the Collectors (organic and synthetic), or committing suicide on the promise of being able to control the reapers. You know, the construction of the Crucible was to destroy the reapers. Anyhoo, as I mentioned before, the sequel does not need commander shepard at all. Sheps story has ended, but the overall story could continue without him.

Sheps story has ended, but the overall story could continue without him. Sequel with no Shep would fail big time. That's why we'd need new/modified endings and I'm completely fine with more than 1 trilogy idea. I see endings different way: Synthesis = Saren = indoctrination. Control = TIM = indoctrination Destroy = Anderson = true ending. I've never unlocked suicide since I don't play online.

Without the Catalyst, the Crucible doesn't activate. Not for what I posted. Read my post at the top of this page to see why the thing isn't needed. I read this part: However, like the game states, the control panel that Shepard uses merely opens the Citadel's arms, it does not activate the Crucible. To quote Admiral Hackett, "once we see those arms, shield fleet will escort the Crucible to the Citadel". Once they dock the Crucible to the Citadel, Hackett states "nothing's happening, the Crucible is not firing. It's got to be something on your end". As for the Catalyst, if you don't like the options he presents, it's not him presenting them per-say. It's the blueprints you found on Mars for the Crucible that decide which options are available. The more complete the Crucible is structurally, the more options that are available to you. It's not like he designed the Crucible, he's just sitting there telling you what each option does. However, all those previous civilizations had a hand in how it was designed, not the little boy at the end.

What advantage is there to have the catalyst remain? It's the simplest way to proceed. No change, no work. Destroy simply happened. Why add a retcon for no reason? You didn't answer my question yet. Why are you pushing for a change and lying about it being a change? (Lying to yourself, I think) What are you trying to accomplish?

Why are you pushing for a change and lying about it being a change? (Lying to yourself, I think) What are you trying to accomplish? High EMS Destroy being canon would probably be the best option for an ME5 in terms of avoiding retcons and not angering much of the fanbase. I don't think Synthesis and Control are very popular ending choices to begin with, and Synthesis' uptopian outcome makes that one especially impractical. Control could work but having the Reapers looming over the galaxy after the climactic final battle would likely dilute the narrative unless they make it about the Reapers yet again. High EMS means the relays and the galaxy are relatively intact, the Geth could be rebuilt, and the galaxy is mostly status-quo with the exception of recovering from the worst war in recorded history.

Pushing? I'm just making suggestions for what changes could be made to have a sequel after ME3. I have no problem if they just go with destroy, the way it is, to continue after ME3. I believe I've mentioned that a couple of times. Either way, it doesn't matter, does it? Its up to Bioware what they want to do, right?

Without the Catalyst, the Crucible doesn't activate. Keep the Citadel as the Catalyst, eliminate Starbrat. The Citadel's needed to shoot the Space Magic throughout the galaxy since it's the central hub for the relays. Tie Shepard's fate directly to the EMS score. Eliminate Faceless Torso Shep and nonsense about "Synthesis is the final evolution of life" and you've taken care of the worst of the stupid from the endings. Which still leaves quite a bit, of course, but it's a good start.
