A return to Firebase Sandstorm for the Salarian Architect and his Remnant VI in this Platinum Solo against the Kett. The Wave 6 Boss Objective turned out to be very stressful, but I was able to take down the Behemoth with just 5 seconds left on the timer.
Objectives: Retrieval / Devices / Boss
Gameplay notes and build: goo.gl/Vab8ui
This was an unexpectedly fast run (36:12) for me. As I wrote in [his Gold Solo article](http://bsn.boards.net/thread/13713/chronicles-salarian-architect-huntress-female), the Salarian Architect is not a character that I have played that much. He’s also quite squishy, with no shield regeneration ability besides Support Systems 6A Shield Reset, which I did not spec into. I relied on the Multicapacitor gear and the Remnant VI to stay alive during the match, though I ultimately ended up with zero Revive Packs and First Aid Kits at extraction.
My Remnant VI was specced for Rank 6B Electric Beam. I didn’t really notice it stunning enemies during the match, but it must have been doing something right. I did feel like it stayed alive long than the VI with the Human Artificer. It could have been that it was stunning enemies, preventing them from taking it down faster.
Incinerate was both my detonator for tech combos and my primary armor chewing ability. The cooldown is quite long on Incinerate, so I wasn’t able to detonate enemies primed with Disruptor ammo as frequently as I would have liked.
Objectives
I did not use Barricade all that much during the match. On Wave 4, the locations of the four devices were ideal, so I didn’t need to plant a Barricade to protect myself against enemy fire. I did almost fail the last device when I fell down from the balcony trying to jump up onto the roof.
While I was hoping for Devices or Retrieval for Wave 6, I wasn’t too disappointed to see Boss. That said, boy did my Salarian cut it close! I began the wave with 4 Cobras, 2 First Aid Kits, 3 Revive Packs, and 3 Ammo Packs, and I ended it with 0 Cobras, 0 First Aid Kits, 1 Revive Pack, and 2 Ammo Packs left.
Looking Ahead
Nine more characters to go! I’ve been trying to develop a reproducible strategy for soloing Firebase Derelict, Magma, Vertigo and Aqua with non-stealth characters, and it’s been tough going. There have been many Wave 4 or 5 failures on those maps with the Human Soldier, Human Engineer, Human Commando, Human Adept, Human Sentinel, and Krogan Mercenary. As a result, I completed solos with a meleeing Angara Avenger on Nimbus and the Asari Huntress using the Charger Siphon on Paradox before returning to Sandstorm with the Architect.
I plan to use one of the six remaining non-stealth characters on one of these maps before finishing the rest on Firebase Sandstorm. As for the 3 other maps, I’ll complete a solo on them with the Salarian Infiltrator, Turian Agent, and Human Infiltrator. While I have no doubt I can do it, I don’t fancy the amount of trial and error it will take to knock them out.
