"Addressed an issue causing enemy fire attack damage to be too high. Enemy archers no longer have the ability to apply players Critical Chance and Critical Damage stats engravings to themselves. No getting owned by archers any more." Thank the gods for this, I thought it was just me experiencing this because I am incompetent!!! Can now get rid of some of those elemental resistance engravings"Upped Ikaros's attack damage. You Are A Bird, Be A Bird" - this definitely changed for in this PT, Ikaros could could always kill sheep with one hit but this PT he couldn't. Hope this fixes it, hate chasing wounded sheep everywhere. "Mercenaries will now carry different amounts of iron and gems to be looted. It's not equal work, equal pay in ancient Greece, Misthios!" About time sick of killing the top merc's and getting pittance and a rare weapon. I quickly learned that while boarding ships in my Crit gear, my first duty as captain is to HIDE AT THE BACK OF THE SHIP or JUMP IN THE WATER ASAP to dodge the 15 arrows pointed at me.
About time Ikaros got some love. I thought he is getting old.
And I thought it made sense that the top mercs didn't have a dime to their name. Imagine it - "Hey, all, I just become one of the top dogs in Greece! Time to spend all I have on booze, sex and drugs before the Eagle Bearer inevitably comes for me."
LOL, yeah I am like "Lets board the maggots" hits 1 to activate poison and am like WTF just lost half my health from about 4 - 5 arrows. I just heal and go straight for the number one guy, hit him with Heroic Strike and leave the rest to Bayek/Aya/Athena and Evie. Re the Merc's well that makes sense now.

I...am...so...rusty. Either that or I just always have sucked but no...just must be rusty. So I started Legacy of the First Blade...so its really fun to me to see the controversy being talked about again because I can finally give a definitive opinion on it! *cough* Anyways I have had a wild and good time but weirdly enough I guess after playing DA I its weird how some of this games annoyances are a lot more annoying. Namely trying to find quests on that map, and the bounty system. Either way I am still am having fun and enjoying the story and the quest names so far. The combat is as good as ever and its nice getting to hunt down another ancient order of evil...already killed two of them. So lets see, specifics: First little camp I raided...oh by the way I am really annoyed at the Spartans also being under the sway of these bad guys. Anyways snuck up and crawled up a tower into a sniper position. They saw me after sniping a few of them...and I almost died, had to retreat and heal up. Second attempt...found another wall pathway and climbed up way, tried sniping...was instantly caught. This was a lot more difficult, middle of the day and there was a lot of people down there so I think it would be quite difficult to do a stealthy run there...but then each Spartan I kill raises my bounty level (DA 4, I don't think you should do bounty levels!...I mean you could do it right but...no...no...no!) Anyways had a lot more luck though because I was on a raised level I devestated shotted and shield smashed Spartan after Sparten off the tower to their death. Then there was some mercenary fun. First mercenary I 'snuck up on' and he was all like 'hey there is a bounty on you!' and I was like 'well here is an overpowered shot'...which I didn't see the two civvies standing next to him...so they rag dolled off the screen. Oops. Second merc I was hunting some bears and he just came up on me and recked me. I reloaded and he was there...at least I am pretty sure it was the same one, but he wasn't attacking for some reason so I wasn't going to wait around...and wanted revenge...so I critical assassinated him...and then he hit me like a brick shithouse. I was like 'what is this guy' and I saw the red skull...but I was comitted. I did lose, but knocked his health down almost by half. And then he kills me. Loads up again and I give him a respectful nod before dashing off to a safe distance. Which then I sent in Ikaros and he was level 85 next to my 61...Jesus! Also I am quite pleased by how I did. Anyways one of the Order of the Ancients was really...bad. Lots of dead people and...dogs...in my wake. He was in this town and I was trying to join the Order...failed...he somehow was 100 + meters from me...so I tore off after him...forgetting most of my powers, got into a lengthy fight. Finally got him, wanted to confirm this kill but this one clear civvie came up behind me and whacked me with a spear. I love sticking it to those Red Skull Merc's, have had plenty of crazy times with them lately. The key is ambushing those guys, preferably somewhere with no one lese around so they don't join in. Hitting them with arrows from cover (in stealth) keeps them pinned down and ghost arrows are your friend. Do you use flame or poison, it really makes a diff if you have stacked in one of those. Then when I am down to my last 3 or 4 squares having used as many Devastating shots or ghost Arrows, I just wait for them to charge me, hit them with Rush Assassinate and if they have an animal hit the merc first, then the animal then you can chain back to the merc. If that doesn't kill them one Heroic Strike after that usually does. Highly recommend building for CRIT and using the Pirate Armour set, plus stacking Assassin Damage on Armour and Engravings that enhance that.

ha! An Arrow gif. And good advice. Kass will be much more the Assassin then Alexios was when I get around to playing her. Clever too. I want one of those arrows (in the arrow gif) in game for Odyssey, or at least make the stun arrows look like that!!!!!! it was kind of a freak accident. In the comics/ animated he has a boxing glove arrow which deploys a....glove... from the arrow to knock people down. But the show is a liiiiittylllleee more 'realistic'. So the situation is he goes down to this boxing ring to face a guy he thinks is a criminal (who runs the ring) and gets knocked down, right on the glove, which gets caught up on the arrow, so he fires it at the guy! But yes with the knock down arrows I wish they behaved like this. I never really have focused on crit damage/ chance too much. Didn't see the need with the auto crits on headshots but might focus more on that with Kass.

Cheers, think I remember that episode now. Re the CRIT stuff above I was a bit of a doubter at first but coupled with high Assassin damage etc. its pretty awesome. Using RA with the one extra chain means most camps are over and done with in one press of a button and Heroic Strike even on the toughest enemies takes at least 1/2 their health and for most it one hits them. The only issue is if you get caught in Melee with more than one or two people the only tactic is RUN AWAY and hide.

I finished LotFB chp 3 last night (but forgot to upload screenshots ) I'm conflicted. I enjoyed it and the voice acting was excellent. The confliction I feel comes from the plot, I guess. Darius is clearly a...complex...guy, but Amorges seems to be on the same path, just hugging the opposite side of that path. The little cutscene was confusing at first, but then I realised/remembered that Odyssey actually predates AC:Origins in the timeline, so that's fair enough. It's all about the Bloodline. After I let the baby go (it really was the only choice, Kass is awesome, but she's a mess), I picked up the keepsakes for Natakas with the worst example I can think of to showcase the games instruction on where things are. Usually if something is "north east of X", it's very, very close. This time it was five minutes running away! Then I finished of the Aintiades the Grateful. I guess there is some favour I can ask him later in the game? Otherwise, Kassandra's plea to "leave me alone" works for me.

It's all about the Bloodline. After I let the baby go (it really was the only choice, Kass is awesome, but she's a mess) It figured they gave the player no choice in what to do with the baby. They never gave a choice to have it either. I guess in a way it is an Assassin’s Creed, since they Assassinated so many player’s characters (doesn’t represent how I or my friends or others I e seen and heard played them at all) for Greed.

So at this point I have essentially finished both episodes 1 and 2 of Legacy of the First Blade. Before I forget again I like the 'loadout' system that they added. Its going to be fun starting this with a second PT so I can have different options for changing out my weapons and stuff based on whatever it is I am doing. On that note though I did spend the Drachmae to get one of those slots open. And I rapidly confirmed a long standing theory of mine. Basically I was once again facing a situation where I was facing off against a bunch of civvies...when I was already trying to save them from a bunch of Wolves attacking their city. Though it was funny that I went off tearing right past the cultist in question who happened to be the wife of the leader so I just ran down them and I was like 'hold on I'll kill you later!' But towards the end I was up a house roof and these civvies were crawling after me so I was all trying to get them away and went to fisticuffs...which didn't actually kill any of them...so I was pleased but there was too many, it was like trying to fight off the Wights and I was Drogon. Eventually I did retreat to a safe distance and killed the target in question. Which then led me to something that was quite interesting: So Whispers in the Fog was quite an interesting quest. Following the trail of corpses all the way to the Huntsman who had some of them hanging from a tree and then he pointed out that *they* were *my* victims. Then a bunch of civvies surrounded me and they were all like 'you killed my son!' etc. So dialogue options followed and eventually, sure enough, had to 'kill' them...but armed with the knowledge that I just obtained I went unarmed and knock out arrows and basically subdued them...and they were clearly alive...but I don't think the game really cares about that. Anyways afterwards, since Iwas feeling quite monstrous and my Alexios (and me) have been struggling with it for a while...said he was a monster (also said he was no hero when confronting the Hunstman again))
But at the end of the day this does beg a couple of questions: First if these are supposed to be Alexios's victims then what happens if you manage to do a mostly pacifist run. Doing research on it I found there was a way to save the civvies, which Alexios probably wouldn't have gone that far to begin with...but yeah it does an interesting thing because if you let the timer run out you save them all...which is an interesting twist...but on the other hand if you let time run out in previous situations then the game chooses for you...which is cheap. So after that mess went after the Hunstman, dueled him, found out about Dairius's past and then went off to Achaia. In Achaia though the Order was again causing problems for the people. They apparently kidnapped a group called 'the Strannded' and gave them to the Cult...which had set up in Herakles of the something something something. Tough nut to crack the first time and I was not overly pleased I had to fight my way through it again but I did. Basically I got the people out and hunted down the proper clue but didn't stay to fight with all the cultists, just the ones that were in the way of my objectives...which I was pretty stealthy and awesome in doing. Then followed more examples of Alexios trying to not be blood thirsty. It was funny took out one guard in some bushes, another guard followed then stood in the same place so I choked him out too. And then got into a scuffle but dashed for the order clue I needed before retreating. And THEN Alexios actually solved a problem by giving an annoying anti mercenary person some Drachmae. So after all that it was time to face down the Tempest: Saw the plot twist coming that she was Kletus daughter. Wasn't so good on the whole her being a 'tainted one' though. (whose the father?)
I know that this DLC is trying to make everything Alexios's fault, and it was heart wrenching to see the two of them die together...but it was undercut that it was one of the GUARDS who got her killed in the first place. I suppose it is human to blame something else then the one who actually did the thing but it did undercut a lot of the dramatic tension of the moment. So it is interesting in the end of the day just how obvious it was that this was done by another studio. Which is sad. The quality in this DLC is nowhere near the quality in the main game. Granted so far episode 2 is much better then episode 1 was and also granted I may just be getting really pissed at the bounty system...but yeah. In the main game while a lot of the times you only had two dialogue options a lot of those still let you express a nuanced character in total and they all weren't just uber paragon or damning renegade. But in Legacy that is pretty much the only ones that are available. Alexios is either an arrogant vile prick, or a humble angel. Its frustating. Also it was weird even though I've hunted the Tempest there is still like three more Order of the Ancients out there for the Order of the Storm. Just wondering where they are.

colfoley Are you doing romance path or "non-romance" path? uh. Probably doing the romance path this playthrough. As much as I would like to maybe consider doing the non romance path just so I can see what the controversy is really all about but Alexios almost already settled down once in the main game and he is more about family. When I get around to playing her Kass will probably be a lot less interested.

So Whispers in the Fog was quite an interesting quest. I found an interesting little twist to this quest on my PT... You can convince the civilians join you against the Huntsman (and a number of henchmen who will conveniently show up) if you do not make a choice and the just let the timer run out on each question.

My Lieutenants are all supernatural beings (Athena, Artemis, Dionysus's Muse, Sphinx) so may as well have the whole ship be that and crewed by Sirens. I only have Athena in terms of the god Lieutenants, I have Bayek and Aya and Evie as my other Lieutenants. How did you get the other God ones, I have stopped collecting ori so haven't been to the shop to see if you can buy them, or did you get them some other way?

My crew are elite Spartans and my lieutenants are all family. This is Sparta! Bringing peace to Greece, one ship at a time. And Alexios is at long last now free! With his family reunited, the cult dismantled and the gate of Atlantis shut down, he's free to faff about to his heart's content, check out the last unexplored corners of the map and do some light misthios work before having a look at all those DLC adventures.

You pick either Athens or Sparta as background, yes?

You pick either Athens or Sparta as background, yes? No, you are Spartan by birth no matter what. You pick which sibling you want to play, that's it. You can fight for Sparta or Athens in any conquest battle, but this does not affect the storyline.

Finished off the Order of Dominion and Remnants of the Order for a shiny new sword. Then stopped by to help this poor damsel in distress... Or not, as it turns out - but she's now on my boat. My boat - plus scenery Also did a bit of running around, clearing out forts etc and a couple of conquest battles. Greek miners are hard core
