The camera system though... needs help. That was my biggest gripe with the game. And this game still has a ton of bugs to iron out. Having played a little of Act I again, I think they've actually introduced new bugs. I think some of the new bugs come from all the performance optimisation they did to get Ch3 not to stutter too much. What did you dislike about the camera system? For me it was not being able to change the verticality at times, especially for the Fireworks shop if you were fighting at different levels.

For me it was not being able to change the verticality at times, especially for the Fireworks shop if you were fighting at different levels. The irony being I'm now seeing stutters in Act I which I wasn't seeing during launch. Plus a bunch of new dialogue bugs. Yeah, a big part of the problem with the camera system is that they designed a game with a lot of verticality, but the camera system isn't designed to handle it well. And it doesn't handle tight spaces well either (camera gets hidden behind walls and other obstacles). We need the ability to look up with the camera and deal with obstacles that block the camera better.

I wondered who that rando bard was... I think he is a homage to Borislav Slavov who was the composer and music director for the game. Atleast his face is based on him and the music is made by him. The voice actor is someone else though.
Alice Posting with some act 3 spoilers at last Gave Myrkul's bony boy a gift of 8 smokepowder barrels, two brine barrels and five Nautilaud pods. It was enough to drop him to half his health...cool. But had also done some planning, got the ability boost from the Shar statues, everyone got their own elemental and Shadowheart and Alice also had some bony boys. Also had some scrolls of Wall of Fire so with great malice we got the other half of the health down. Skipped Ketheric btw via dialog check. So that was neat. Hurried to the portal this time around since I found out just how deadly the honor guard can be on Robin's save and I'm not ending my honor to monkish frogs. So was getting pretty pumped to be in Baldurs Gate and finally having access to merchants again, on the account of having murdered all the others available to me. Some on purpose, some by accident. So go to Popper and he has Cloud giant Strength so like, we be best buddies now. Grab the hand off the table and insert my foot in my mouth by asking him "What'cha gonna do about it". He's gonna fight for it. And it's fine. He's just temp hostile and if I'm careful I can just knock him out and let him sleep it off. Except the nearby people also took offense. Again. I can just knock them out. Anyways Stoney and Boney join the fray. We knock out Popper and we knock out Boney and then Stoney pummels them both to death... . I'm going to end up murdering all the merchants in Baldurs Gate aren't I... At least I paid my way in instead of swearing not to murder anyone... So figure I'll call it good for the night before I do something even dumber.

Got back to the creche. Still not a fan. It occurs to me that this is a recurring theme with the githyanki stuff; reasonable RP choices leading to unreasonable battles. I mean, am I really gonna produce the artifact? I've just been told not to, by someone who has literally just bailed me out of a serious problem. I'm supposed to stop listening to her now? Why?

Ah, okay. I'm guessing this guy was someone from the team as well. No idea about him. Did see someone post he might be a reference to the 4 Halfling Barbarians video. Or well the face at least. I've just been told not to, by someone who has literally just bailed me out of a serious problem. I'm supposed to stop listening to her now? Why? Well by that point you haven't been listening for sometime. Think they plead with you to stop this like 2 times before you enter the Creche. And besides you're going to the camp of people who have shown themselves to be mostly bloodthirsty maniacs, with an item they want to get but if you loose it you die. This conflict of interest is sure to end in blood. The only real good reason to even go close to the place would be to risk the extraction machine And by that point the guardian has been repeatedly hitting you over the head with "It's a super rare and abnormal version of it's type. If you remove it, you die". So like even if it wasn't a big ol' trap it would still probably have killed you anyways. Just going near the area is a pretty dumb and incredibly risky move. Mind you that wont stop me, the items, xp, loot and view area amazing, but in character it's about the dumbest thing you could do.

Mind you that wont stop me, the items, xp, loot and view area amazing, but in character it's about the dumbest thing you could do. I've only had the one meeting with the Guardian yet. Anyway, I wasn't clear about the sequence. Yes, we were there for the gadget. I trusted Lae'zel instead of the Guardian, the mission went tits-up, and the Guardian had to save Lae'zel's ass after I failed all the skill checks. So suddenly the Guardian is looking like the sensible one. But yeah, it's probably kinda dumb to keep listening to Lae'zel at all at this point, and I shouldn't even be talking to the commander. Also, the whole dialogue path with the Commander is weird. What I'm there to do is report on the traitor - another bad Lae'zel idea -- but you can't actually just do that. The commander somehow has the idea that your party are the mercenaries sent to retrieve the weapon. OK, maybe all ghaik look alike to her, but you can't tell her that you've got nothing to do with it, and while you can bluff your way out of admitting you have the artifact, you can't actually bring the traitor up after doing so until you bring her the artifact. The two things shouldn't have anything to do with each other.
Edit: oh, right, Voss more-or-less conscripts you, doesn't he? Edit: Hey, your avatar looks a bit familiar. Here's Sylvie the bard: Not sure about the hat, although it does work with her current armor.

This run I'm gonna just roll with it. "Sure, boss. I'll find that artifact for you. Just need a bit more time." And then portal out of there before anyone looks in the infirmary.

Underdark spoilers Spooky Then scary I'm only level 4 - it took down 2 of the party. Stupid He died. Quickly. I mean, Karlach and Lae'zel just took out the Spectator you couldn't handle, what did you think would happen? Visionary I haven't looked in the memory crystal before. Nice! And now I'm level 5 and have decide whether to go to the Arcane Tower or the Goblin Camp next. The latter shouldn't be very hard at 5th level though.

Alice Adventures. Act 3 spoilers. Yay. Time out over we go back to the circus and check out the Djinn. Spent way too much time spinning the wheel until I realized I could just have Astarion steal his ring and get my free vacation that way. So Lae'zel took a trip to Chult and got a new fancy spear and added some Dinosaur heads to her stash. The go to see Dribbles the clown. Tried using the patron to see the clowns true form and it's just not happening. Also missed the obviously hostile dog being obviously hostile. Then since I never really use the spear (or maybe it was a new eldritch knight buff?) I ended up killing most of the observers by area of effect damage. Whoops. At least Patty survived. The guy at the front still thanked me for "Keeping the other patrons from being hurt" and like, yeah, guess the death was instantaneous. The way the lighting in the "Naughty little master" scene makes her lipstick look is just. Mwah. Also, does she have scars on her lips? I found out in the beginning there are small scars above the eyes but the tattoo hides them. Could also just be toothmarks from Astarion since I'm spamming kisses while I have the option. Take a romantic party walk by the beach. Tickle Orin and then join the beach scuffle. Side with Nine Knifes because the other side uses cuck as an insult and we don't kink shame. Nine Knifes group then thanks us and breaks the alliance by initating conversation before we can deactivate the AOE we had going on. Cool cool. Raid the cave on the beach then visit the Temple of Ilimater. The lady priest was not impressed over us scolding her for disrespecting the form of worship that is murder. Go to the basement, kill some pale fellows and get our chuckly amulet friend a new buddy before murdering him and sentencing him to a purgatory of everlasting laughter. And guessing he got shunned by Lathander for fiddling with the undead. Alice felt bad about it for some reason. Bully Scratch's old bully and lament the lack of option to stick her in a cage. Visit Shar's caress. Steal a letter to get past the walk bridge, steal some skimpy outfits from the library (had Alice wear the one with the chocker and Astarion's greeting was "Gods you're beautiful". But alas, that outfit mentally belongs to my halfling. The green one had no chocker and looks like great matching Pajamas to Halsin ) talk and deny Raphael because I don't really want to free Orpheus and am leaning towards my own world domination... Get probed by the Mindflayer and am delighted that he relents if you accuse him of denying you trust but refusing to trust you. And like. He really shouldn't trust Alice. But vice versa is probably true too. I like that Balduran's butterknife is missing. Grabbed Gale and Halsin so Orin had to make do with Yenna. Haven't been using them much but have had her big stompy feet crush the abductee in battle and just no. You're not doing that. Reinforced Wyll's pact because he can't choose for himself so. Then got probed by the Mindflayer once more and took a break to touch grass and reconsider my life choices. Grass touching over I did some scuttling around the city, poking around in basements, graveyards and banks. Also start a romance with Halsin at last. Whooo. Then decide to go say hi to Cazador and give him my remaining smokepowder barrels and some firewine. It didn't kill him completely but that's what the sunbeam scroll and Lae'zel were for. Final gift was a snazzy new tattoo on his back before he went boom. Feeling pretty good about myself it's time to say Hi to Orin. Am delighted to find that I can both skip the Murder Tribunal and the Power Word fight. Too bad I couldn't skip the fight against Orin, since she destroyed my squishy Warlock and then I yeeted the second opportunity by not just running away and making a better plan. So that's the honor mode ended. Excuse me while I scream. Did keep the save because I made it this far and I've done too many Alice runs already. I love her but. Not that much. Might take a break before moving on though since, well. This sucks. And been itching to try Dragon Dogma 2, just can't decide wether to try to make a serious character since supposedly I can't do a new game or just use the silly bombshell I made in the character creator thingy. Because Damn. And lipstick pic for reference since I can't really say it's mwah and not post it. So Mwah I guess.

Just messing around now. I've been tinkering with some Level 12 Bard multiclasses... in Chapter I. The latest being a Sword Bard 10/Vengeance Pally 2 who leans hard into Spirit Guardians, Smites, and Bard Sword Tricks. Smacked a few ogres... Swatted a few spiders... Took a shortcut to the Underdark... ... for the sword. Then kicked a couple minotaurs to the curb.

So, Dusk and Karlach and Wyll formed a devil-fighting trio in Avernus. And I'll forever be a little salty that there won't be an expansion detailing their further adventures. Lae'zel went off to the Astral Plane, after Orpheus offed himself because Dusk wouldn't do it. Gale returned the crown to Mystra. And then the trio temporarily returned thanks to Withers, looking suitably badass.

Talking about Viconia looking older I thought the same thing about Jaheira. I don't remember is Jaheira full elf or no? Anyway I thought DnD elves were like LOTR elves in that they don't age. Jaheria is half elven. Personally, I've become weary of half elves, as most people I seen take them mostly for the stats. In universe, i have a hard time seeing THAT many full elves having relationships where they know they will outlive their partners and especially children. From The Lone Drow by R.A. Salvatore, when the main character befriends and is mentored by another elf, something he never had because of his own life and upbringing.

Been a while since I was through the Act 1 Underdark. So, there were a whole bunch of annoying mushrooms in the way, and I decided it would be easiest to just have Gale blow them up. How was I to know that Baelen was in there? Sorry, Derryth.

Anyway I thought DnD elves were like LOTR elves in that they don't age. Oh I meant to reply to this too. Yes, you're correct. The only elves in lore who start to look aged are either a thousand or more years old, or have participated in some really vile magic that ends up causing essentially corruption of their appearance in the form of ageing. In fact, if I remember correctly, the main reason Matron Mother Baenre looks a bit aged isn't even the fact that she's 2000+; it's that she's done a lot of really horrific but powerful magic rituals that have had that effect.

I really think there should have been some bonus for persuading Lae'zel to use tadpoles after her own people's solution has just drained her stats.
Seriously, girl, don't you see that what they've got you doing ain't working? At first I was bugged by the PC having to go first, but I guess that makes sense. Either you think this is safe, or you don't.

I really think there should have been some bonus for persuading Lae'zel to use I think the stat check drops from like 20 to 10 after she tries the solution. At least had a chunky drop when I tried it before and after. Nevermind was mixing up stat checks in my mind. But yeah agree that some of the resistance should've been eaten away after that point.

RP question: What should a cleric of Lathander do at the Monastery Deliberately botch the puzzle? Vengeance isn't exactly a core Lathanderite virtue, but maybe this time?

BOOOAL! Doing the Goblin Camp/Ruined Temple at 5th level is a bit of a breeze, but I got help anyway. That's the first time through all of EA and release that I've actually talked to Gut and Dror Ragzlin. Gut was boring and I managed to put her off. Got the brand though which may be a mistake. DR was tougher and wouldn't be brushed off, so I had to kill him. And then everybody else. Knocked out Minthara though. Then Gut wouldn't talk to me as I was her killer. So I had to resort to the hat. Who's hat? Fane's hat.
